Chapter 28 Taking the Card
"That is between my mother and me." He mocked me. "After all these years, you haven't changed a bit. As long as there's money, you can give up everyone, right! Including me, including your own child! Are you even human?"
I felt wronged. "How can you say that about me? Is it for the money? I just couldn't bear to hurt a mother's pure heart that only wants the best for her son!"
I looked at his mother. "You think your mom is trying to break us up, but what I see is her deep consideration for you and for me!
As the saying goes, your mom has eaten more salt than we've eaten rice!
What right do you have to question your mom?
She's planning so carefully for you. How could I bear to refuse her and hurt her! "
I said seriously to him, "Mr. Song, you can have many girlfriends, even many children, but you only have one mom!"
While he was still stunned, I pulled the card out of his hand, then sighed, shook my head, and advised, "Talk it over properly with your mom. Raising you wasn't easy. Mother and son shouldn't hold overnight grudges. Be more understanding of her, and she won't have to come to an outsider like me."
With that, I gave his mother a reassuring look, took the bank card, and left in my imposing rider uniform.
