CHAPTER 11

The next morning, everyone gathered at the dining table. Shaurya’s father was surprised and delighted to see Shaurya there, now he has hope that his change would changed. He would become responsible man.

He cleared his throat and announced, "I'm sending Shaurya and Prisha on a honeymoon."

Prisha was shocked. She glanced at Shaurya, who continued eating as if nothing had happened. It was already difficult for her to live in the same room with him, the thought of being alone with him, was terrifying for her.

"Why isn’t he saying anything?" she wondered. Then she heard him speak. "Dad, where are we going?"

Shaurya’s father, expecting resistance, was taken aback by his compliance. He quickly recovered and said, "It's up to you. I’ll book the flight."

Turning to Prisha, Shaurya asked,"Is there any specific place you want to go?"

She shook her head, still in shocked. Shaurya's dad asked Shaurya to join him in the study to discuss the details. Prisha struggled to finish her breakfast, somehow she finished the breakfast.

Later, when Shaurya entered their room, Prisha blurted out, "I don’t want to go on a honeymoon with you." She was trembling with fear, thinking how would he react? But she knew she had to be strong. The idea of being alone with him was unbearable.

Shaurya’s teasing response stunned her. "If not with me, then with whom do you want to go on a honeymoon, wifey?"

Prisha stared at him as if he had grown horns. Regaining her composure, she pleaded, "Please, I don’t want to go anywhere with you. Tell your dad you have work."

Shaurya walked toward her, making her nervous. Gently cupping her face, he said, "He knows I don't do anything in office except playing games. "

He paused,"I know you're scared of me and don't want to come with me. But I promise I won’t touch you or do anything to make you uncomfortable. We have to go, or Dad will be angry, and that’s the last thing I want. So please, don't stress and start packing."

He walked to the washroom, leaving Prisha standing there, wide-eyed. She couldn’t believe how softly he had spoken to her.

After some time,

When Shaurya came out of the washroom, he saw Prisha still standing in the same spot. "Prisha, please don’t stress. Trust me, I will not do anything to hurt you."

Hearing Shaurya say "please" was a shock for her. Unable to bear his unexpected sweetness any longer, and having no other choice, she agreed to go with him,"Okay,I am ready to go."

After this, she stepped outside to the lawn to get some fresh air and calm herself.

As she walked in the garden, Tina approached and grabbed her arms tightly. "Enjoying my position? This is my place," Tina snarled, tightening her grip and making Prisha wince in pain.

"Please, don’t do this. Leave my hand, it hurts," Prisha begged.

Ignoring her pleas, Tina hissed, "Why did you do this? You know you don’t deserve him. You married him just to take revenge on me. You’ve always been jealous of my beauty and popularity. When he proposed to you, you didn't hesitate for a second. You grabbed the opportunity and married him without considering how much it would hurt your sister." With that, she shoved Prisha to the ground and stormed off.

Tina angrily entered her room and overheard her so-called husband on a phone call. "Hey darling, I’m leaving for a business trip tomorrow for ten days. Pack your clothes; we’ll enjoy ourselves there... No, this time I’mnot bringing my useless wife. Okay, baby, bye! I’ll meet you at the airport." He hung up and turned to see Tina standing at the door.

She ignored him and walked into the washroom. This was normal for her. Even when he took her on business trips, he always brought his girlfriend or mistress, spending most of his time with them and humilated her in front of them.

One week later,

Prisha stood in awe, staring at the Rawat family's private jet. She had never flown before, and now she was about to board a private jet. They walked inside and took their seats. As the flight attendant announced the need to fasten seat belts, Shaurya noticed Prisha struggling.

"Let me help you," he said softly, and he assisted her with the seat belt. She murmured a small thank you and resumed looking out the window.

As the flight prepared for takeoff, Prisha suddenly felt nervous. In her fear, she closed her eyes and grabbed Shaurya's hand. Noticing her trembling, he looked at her and wrapped his arms around her, pulling her close. "Hey, don’t worry! I’m here," he reassured her. She was too scared to notice his arm around her or the fact that her nails were digging into his skin. He didn't react, instead, he gently rubbed her back to calm her down.

Finally, the plane took off and began to fly smoothly. Prisha sighed in relief. Shaurya handed her a bottle of water and asked with concern, "Are you okay?" She nodded as she took the water. Her gaze fell on Shaurya’s hand, noticing the marks her nails had left. "I’m sorry," she whispered.

"It’s alright. You can hold my hand whenever you want," he said with a teasing smile. Prisha turned away, shocked by his behavior. Why was he being so kind? She remembered how he had consoled her just a few minutes ago. So many thoughts ran through her mind. Why this sudden change? Wasn't he the same man who wanted to ruin her life?

Determined to find answers, she turned toward him, but he was already asleep. She took a deep breath, she decided to talk to him once they reached their destination.

Maldives

By the time they landed, it was evening. They reached their cottage, a charming wooden house with an ocean view. She was admiring the view, when Shaurya said,"Prisha, let's go to the room." She nodded and followed him inside. The room was beautifully decorated with candles, and a path of red roses led from the entrance. The bed was adorned with rose petals, forming two interlocked hearts in the center of the king-size bed.

Seeing the room, she started feeling uncomfortable, and seeing her discomfort, Shaurya immediately apologized. "I’m sorry, believe me it's not my idea. It’s Dad who booked the room. He must have told them we’re on our honeymoon."

He paused and added, "Let me call the hotel staff to clean this up." He was about to make the call when Prisha asked, "Why are you doing this? What changed suddenly? Why are you behaving like nothing happened in the past, like we’re a normal husband and wife? If this is a game, please don’t. Please tell me why you’re behaving like this. I can't bear your changed behavior. What changed overnight?"

Shaurya looked at her for a long moment before saying, "I’ll answer all your questions tonight. You take a bath and change your clothes. I’ll clean the room." She didn’t say anything and walked to the washroom.

Later that night, Shaurya asked her to come behind their private cottage. He had asked her to wear a beautiful red gown, and she complied. When she arrived, she was surprised by the setup. A circular stage surrounded by four pillars with lights, a table with two chairs, and all her favorite foods: white sauce pasta, noodles with Manchurian balls, custard, and rice balls. A bouquet of her favorite flowers adorned one corner, and several candles gleamed in different directions.

She was looking at the decoration with confusion, Shaurya's voice startled her,"So, what do you think about the decoration?" She turned and said softly, "It’s nice." Then she added, "Why are we here?"

Ignoring her question, he guided her to the table, pulled out a chair for her, and served her plate. He noticed she was just staring at the food. "What happened? Why aren’t you eating? Don’t you like the food, or do you want me to feed you with my hand?" Prisha shook her head and started eating. Then she asked, "How do you know I like these things?"

"I asked your mom," he replied while refilling her plate. She was surprised and asked again, "You still haven’t answered. Why are you doing this?"

"Prisha, I know I did many wrong things to you, but now I want to change. I want to give this marriage a chance. Please forgive me and give me a chance to correct all my mistakes." Prisha was shocked. She couldn't believe her ears. She pinched herself to ensure it wasn’t a dream, feeling the pain and realizing it was real. Tears rolled down her cheeks as she remembered all he had done to her. She composed herself and said angrily, "A chance? After everything you did, you expect me to give you a chance? You blackmailed me, insulted me, and called me a gold digger."

"I know. I was blinded by anger and revenge. I vented my anger on you without realizing you were innocent. Please forgive me. Marriage is a lifetime commitment, and I believe in it. Prisha, please give me a chance." His voice cracked, and tears formed in his eyes.

Prisha didn’t say anything. She turned and walked towards her room. As she reached the door, Shaurya screamed, "I know I did wrong, but I will seek your forgiveness until my last breath." She halted, then rushed to her room, lay down on the sofa, and cried until she fell asleep.

The Next Morning

Prisha slowly opened her eyes to a beautiful morning. The sun was rising, painting the sky in hues of orange. The view was incredible, but her situation made it hard to appreciate. She had a headache from crying. As she was about to get off the sofa, Shaurya entered the room and said with a smile,"I brought medicine for you. I’m sure you have a headache."

Prisha didn't say anything, she just took a pills and gulp it as she was having a really bad headache.

In the Evening

Prisha made her way to the sea. Standing with the waves hitting her legs, she was enjoying this moment, forgetting all her problems. After some time, she sat on the sand, lost in thought. She didn’t realize when Shaurya sat beside her. "What are you thinking?" he asked.

She shook her head, "Nothing." After a while, he said, "Let’s go. It’s dinner time." He got up and extended his hand to her. She looked at his hand but stood up without his help. They walked back to the cottage.

They stayed there for a week. Shaurya took her to dinner and different places. Whenever he tried to talk, she responded with yes or no. But, he didn't give up.

They were sitting in the resturant,Shaurya asked,"Tonight, we are leaving this place. Do you enjoy?" She nodded with a smile, he said,"We will come again."

"With our kids." He said after pregnant paused, she didn't argue and kept eating her food. Now, it was normal for her. He kept telling these types of things.

Waiter came and asked looking at Shaurya,"Sir, do you want drink?"

Shaurya looked at Prisha and said,"I don't drink as my wife don't like people who drink. So, I quit drinking." Prisha looked at him with wide eyes, then she realized actually he didn't drink for so many days. She couldn't help, but a smile appeared on her face.
