Chapter 17
I didn’t expect things to get as heavy as they did when Pepper and I had breakfast. I didn’t know what made me tell her as much as I did, but it felt like I should tell her how her father was and why I had beef with him. I’d kept her locked up for a while and let my guard down a little each time we were around each other.
I felt like we hadn’t even touched the surface of things that were wrong in her life. She only mentioned how her father was the reason why she didn’t want to fall in love, but I wondered why. I had already heard about her father doing shit to her mom, but I wanted to ask her if he did something to her.
When I saw the fear in her eyes when I told her about what her dad did, the shit bothered me. The first time it happened, it kind of turned me on, but this time was different. I didn’t want her to be afraid of me. I still couldn’t figure out what I wanted from her, but fear was not it.
Since we had a breakthrough in whatever was happening between us, I figured I would get her out of the house for a bit. We weren’t going anywhere near the town, but she needed some air, and I hoped she would learn to trust me a little more. I wasn’t ready to let her go, though, but maybe I could loosen up the reign a little.
After I left her in the room, I washed the dishes we used, took a shower, and left the house to get her some clothes to wear. She had the clothes she wore when I first snatched her, but other than that, she only had pajamas, and she couldn’t wear those on the back of my bike. The thought of how good she would look made me shift a little, but I had to focus.
Once I had some jeans and a sweatshirt for her, I left the store and went back to the house.
“I got you something,” I said when I entered the room. I was happy that she was already awake and looked like she’d already showered.
“I hope it’s some clean clothes because this is my last pair of pajamas.” Her eyes glanced over to the clothes basket in the corner.
“It is, actually.” I tossed the bag on the bed, and she snatched it up. “I want to take you somewhere.”
She stopped rummaging through the bag and looked up at me.
“To kill me? I knew it. Was the sex this morning like my last meal or something?” She frowned her pretty ass face up.
I laughed. “Why would you think that?”
She shrugged. “Some crazy people do shit like that.”
“I’m not crazy.”
She scoffed and looked at me like I was crazy for real. Did she really think I was crazy? I wasn’t. Maybe a little off, but not crazy. She was crazy if she thought I would kill her after what we shared earlier. The sex was a little more intimate than I was used to. I didn’t want her to get any ideas of falling in love with me, or some shit. I shook off my next thought because I was tripping.
“The verdict is still out on that, but can you tell me where we are going?” she asked as she pulled the pants and shirt out of the bag.
At the last minute, I threw some socks and underclothes in there, even though I would have been okay with her going without panties. Where we were going was secluded, and I wouldn’t mind fucking her against my bike.
“Somewhere where nobody can hear you scream.” I wanted to laugh at the look on her face, but it was fun having her think that I was taking her somewhere to kill her.
“What? Why would I be screaming? Oh, God, you really are going to kill me.”
I felt bad when she started hyperventilating, so I decided to put her out of her misery. I walked closer to the bed, and she backed up as far as she could go. I wasn’t sure what she thought that was going to do. If I wanted to kill her, there was nothing she could do about it.
I leaned down closer to her face. “Pepper, I didn’t mean, hear you scream because I’m killing you. They can’t hear you scream while you cream on my dick.”
Her dark eyes squinted, and her breathing stopped for a millisecond. She was turned on, and I could tell by her hard nipples.
I didn’t want to waste too much time because I wanted us to be back before it got dark.
“Get yourself together. I do have a real surprise for you. Meet me downstairs in fifteen.” I kissed her forehead, then left the room.
While I waited for her to come downstairs, I straightened up, even though there wasn’t anything to do. It wasn’t like I spent a lot of time in other parts of the house. If I wasn’t in the house watching Pepper or sleeping, I was at the motorcycle club or somewhere on my land. I had a few cars that I worked on from time to time, but they were only for certain people. I didn’t want everyone to know where I stayed. I had another shop in the town, but I had someone else running it as well as competent workers. I loved the fact that I didn’t have to be there.
“I’m ready,” I heard from behind me.
I didn’t even hear Pepper come down the steps, and I wished I had. My new obsession was watching her walk, and I was a little disappointed that I missed it. The jeans I had gotten for her fit perfectly, and the hoodie was a little loose, but it looked good on her.
“You look good.”
Her cheeks reddened. “Thank you.”
She still had her two braids in, and that was perfect because she had to put a helmet on.
“I think I want to give you your surprise when we get back.”
Part of the reason why I wanted to wait was because I didn’t want her to see her bike or her helmet yet. I wanted to spend time with her and didn’t want her to get any idea of leaving. Definitely not before I got a chance to show her a different side of me.
“I wish you wouldn’t have told me.” She pouted.
“You’ll be fine. Trust me, you’ll love it.” I grabbed her hand and led her to the front door.
When we stepped outside, she looked around like she’d never been outside before. It had been a minute, so maybe she did need time to let her eyes adjust to the sun.
I walked us over to my bike, and her eyes lit up. She walked around it and ran her hand over the side.
“This is a BMW s1000rr, but you added some stuff to it.” She walked around it again. “I love it, especially the color.”
I was impressed when she rattled off some of the upgrades I made to it.
“Thank you, and I can see you know your stuff.”
She smiled. “I know a little something.”
I chuckled and handed her a helmet. “Put this on.”
I thought she would have asked me about her helmet or her bike, but she didn’t. She seemed excited to be out of the house and to ride again.
While she put her helmet on, I put mine on. I helped her onto the bike, even though she didn’t need my help, but I just had to find a way to touch her.
“Hold on tight,” I told her as I got on the bike.
My heart accelerated when she wrapped her arms around my waist, as her titties rested against my back.
What the fuck was happening to me?
“I’m ready,” she said too close to my ear.
She had to because the bike was on, but I almost took her ass right back in the house.
I revved the bike and pulled off.
Pepper’s arms gripped me a little tighter when we picked up speed. It felt good having Pepper on the back of my bike and even better with her arms around me.
Thirty minutes later, we arrived on the outskirts of town. There wasn’t much around the area but a couple of stores and a gas station. Most people didn’t come out here unless they were passing through.
“This is beautiful,” Pepper said as she looked around us in amazement.
“It really is.” While the view was beautiful, I was talking about her. She was too busy looking around to notice that I was staring at her.
We were parked at the top of a mountain that many people didn’t even know about.
She turned toward me. “Let me get away from this edge before you push me over.” She smirked.
I was glad that she got that thought out of her mind that I would kill her.
My gaze was focused on the sway of her hips as she walked toward me.
“Nobody is going to push you over. I thought we could come out here and chill. Plus, I knew you needed to get out of that room. I’d figure we’d chill for a bit, then we’ll have dinner back at the house.
“Look at you being nice, Gothel.” She patted my chest and giggled.
She tried to walk away, but I grabbed her wrist.
“Who the fuck is Gothel?”
I’d been meaning to ask her again, but that shit kept slipping my mind.
She reached up and used her finger to smooth out the wrinkles in my forehead because I frowned.
“Calm down. Gothel kidnapped Rapunzel.” She laughed again.
Pepper walked over and sat on the bench that overlooked the mountain. I followed behind her like a puppy.
“Maybe I should push your ass over,” I teased as I sat down.
“You wouldn’t.”
“You’re right.”
A minute or two passed as we both sat, appreciating the view. As crazy as it seemed, I could see myself doing this with her on a random Saturday morning. Just the two of us on my bike, or our bikes, relaxing and connecting. I never thought I’d see the day I’d think about a woman outside of the bedroom. Pepper had me stepping out of my comfort zone, and the shit was a little uncomfortable.
“I don’t think you ever said it, but are you part of a motorcycle club?” Pepper asked.
“I’m the president of the Blade Outlawz.”
“Wait! I’ve heard of them before, but I never knew it was you. Wow. I’ve been told to stay away from you guys, but nobody ever told me exactly who you guys were. You didn’t have on your jacket that day we met, but now it’s all coming together.” She laughed. “I said met, like we formally met. I meant to say when you snatched me up. This is crazy.”
That made no sense to me. If her people told her to stay away from the Outlawz, why the hell didn’t they show her pictures or something? We didn’t go around wearing our vests or jackets all the time. When I worked or did everyday shit, I didn’t wear my jacket.
“Is it a problem?” I asked her after a few seconds.
“Hell, it wouldn’t matter now.”
“You’re right.” I winked. “When did your love of motorcycles start?”
Her eyes lit up as she pivoted on the bench. She told me it started when she was five, and that was the only way she could spend time with her father. It kinda pissed me off because I couldn’t see myself being like that with my child. I didn’t think I would ever have kids, but I knew I wouldn’t be anything like Harold.
“What about for you?” she asked when she was finished.
I told her the story about my OG and the first club I joined and when I started mine. We talked more about motorcycles and shit. She had a lot of knowledge of bikes, and it was another thing about her that turned me on.
We stayed out for a couple of hours, talking and getting to know each other better. It wasn’t too serious, just simple shit like favorite colors and that boring shit most people tend to forget about. It didn’t bother me because I just enjoyed seeing the smile on her face, which surprised me.
By the time we left, we both were good and hungry, so we headed back to the house. Plus, I still had to show her the surprise I had for her.
