Chapter 1 Empty Hallway
I glanced back at the deserted Hallway.
Without changing my expression, I took out my phone and opened the Security Camera Feed.
The footage showed that three minutes earlier, a masked figure in black had opened my front door.
The method was crude but effective.
He first removed the Peephole from outside.
Then he pushed a bent Wire through the hole, hooked the inside handle, and pulled the door open with a simple push and tug.
The half Finger I had hidden in the Peephole was pushed into the room by that same Wire.
After entering, the intruder quietly closed the door behind him.
He had only taken two steps when he suddenly staggered.
It looked like he had stepped on something.
He picked it up and froze when he saw it was a severed Finger.
He must have realized he had walked into the wrong place.
The man suddenly wanted to leave.
But just as he was about to open the door and escape, I came back.
At that moment, only a door separated me from the person inside.
