Chapter 16 Following Again
That night I lay in bed with my eyes closed, listening to her steady breathing, yet sleep never came.
Her blindness, her movements, her secrets.
Everything wrapped around me like thick fog.
Suddenly the mattress shifted.
My Girlfriend rose silently, dressed, and put on her sunglasses and mask.
She walked to the bedroom door and glanced back at me lying there.
Then she moved into the living room, opened the door, and vanished into the dim Hallway like always.
I got up quickly, dressed, timed it carefully, and followed.
The Hallway was so quiet I could hear my own heartbeat.
Her footsteps were light, but each one pressed on my nerves.
After going downstairs she followed the same route she had taken during the day, heading back toward Juyuan Residential Area.
The same place she had visited that morning.
