Chapter 28

Two vampires hovered over me, each with a knee between my widely spread legs. Their lips followed different paths across my body, kissing and sucking at the sensitive spots between my cheek and ears.

"You know how much we want you like this?" Jager's voice was deep, stirring tension even though they hadn't made any further moves.

They moved in perfect sync, each on their own path but clearly attuned to one another.

I felt their lips meet at the corners of my mouth, hands caressing my body.

Before I realized it, two sets of lips claimed mine.

Wade nibbled hungrily at my lower lip, while Jager softly sucked and licked at the upper one.

A soft moan escaped me, overwhelmed by the contrast—rough and gentle, all at once. The intensity made my body react, ready for more than I was willing to give. I didn't want to take it that far. Naked and in bed with them was already too much.

"I don't want to have sex," I said, placing my hands on their chests to stop them. Their gazes, clouded with appetency, locked on me.

"We would never do anything to make you uncomfortable. We just want to taste you," Wade assured me.

"That's all we want," Jager added. "Your taste to carry us through the night. We want you to release your nectar into our mouths."

Their lips found mine again, their tongues teasing and overpowering mine. I was pinned down on the bed, my hands held captive above my head, while their other hands traced the outline of my thighs with a featherlike touch.

"You're so sweet," Jager murmured. I could instantly tell the difference between their tongues—each one battling for dominance in my mouth. But Jager was the first to pull away, trailing her tongue over the mark on my neck, down to my arm, and slowly nearing my breast.

Wade's tongue remained in my mouth, and I struggled to keep kissing her as my body reacted to the teasing sensations at different spots.

"No one else can have you," Wade whispered faintly in my ear, her voice so soft I doubted Jager could hear. But Jager must have, as she murmured her agreement.

Wade moved lower, her lips finding my nipple.

My mouth fell open, and I glanced down to see both of them sucking my nipples at the same time.

My body threshed beneath them, overpowered by the pleasure.

I'd never experienced anything like this—both of my nipples being teased simultaneously by the tongues of two vampires.

Their hands moved in perfect coordination. The ones holding my wrists in place gripped tighter, while the others, working between my thighs.

"You're so warm and beautiful down here," Jager whispered, her fingers teasing. "All freshly shaved."

The moment I knew they were coming over, I didn't just focus on combing my hair, doing my makeup, or tidying up my cluttered apartment.

I went further, working on myself, mentally preparing for what I never expected would actually happen.

The part of me that craved them had won over the part that resisted.

My core tensed as both Wade and Jager slid their index fingers inside me. I gasped shakily, almost immediately begging them to go deeper. They'd found a spot in me, their fingers the perfect key to unlock it. I wondered if they'd keep me open if they used something more.

Their hungry lips never left my breasts, sucking on my nipples or kissing around the full, rounded shape.

Their fingers inside me moved at different rhythms—one pumping in and out, while the other pulsated against my most sensitive spot. I couldn't even tell who was who anymore. My eyes were fixed on the ceiling, breath coming in shallow gasps, as if I couldn't quite catch it.

I woke up with my head in a haze, disoriented by what had happened between me and my bosses. I turned over to check the time—2 a.m.

I walked into the kitchen to find Kem already rummaging through the bags I hadn't unpacked yet. I took a seat on one of the stools, my body still tingling from the events of six hours ago.

"Did you go shopping for branded food?" she asked, pulling items out of the bags.

"No." I stretched, wincing slightly as a sharp pain shot through my neck. I quickly grabbed the pill bottle and shook two tablets into my mouth.

"My bosses," I added.

Kem smirked.

"Ew!" I muttered groggily, already anticipating her reaction. She filled a glass with water and handed it to me. I gulped it down gratefully. "Thanks."

"So, your bosses just casually buy you expensive food and pricey pills, and you have no other response to that?" she probed.

"None." I started to move my neck gently. I hadn't had a chance to inspect it yet, but I could tell it was healing. By the time I returned to work, I hoped to have more range of motion.

"Even with the hickeys?" she pressed.

"I don't sleep with them yet," I replied. "But that doesn't mean I'm in love with them or anything. We don't do that." I paused for a moment. "I've never had an issue with you sleeping with them."

"Just don't fall in love. Got it." She continued unpacking the groceries, the shopping bags rustling as she worked. "But this definitely shows they have some interest in you."

"They probably already have women lined up for them. We know the elites don't fall for us, so I don't need to think about that. I'll take their money and be out," I said.

"That's cold," she muttered, her head buried in the cupboard as she organized the white cereal boxes to fit the two colorful ones. The branded boxes stood out, looking oddly out of place among the others, as if they didn't belong.

"It's not cold; it's just the truth. No vampire will ever truly love us. They want something, and we all know what that is: blood."

"Hm." She barely responded, and I felt a flicker of annoyance. It seemed she was reconsidering our arrangement. We had a plan—no time to waste on vampires. "I won't just forget what you guys did."

"They just fingered me. That's it. I promise."

"I wouldn't mind if it went further, and I wouldn't mind if you fell in love with one of them... or both," she giggled, folding up the bag.

"No. I won't fall in love and leave you hanging here."

"I'd be fine, honestly."

"You wouldn't," I whined. "We have plans—basically, to reach the promised land of human beings."

"I just wouldn't think you'd betray me if you fell in love with one of them, Xan. It's good. It means a better life for you."

"Why did you come home so early?" I asked, hoping to change the topic. She sighed and turned back to the cupboard, grabbing cheese snacks. Then she opened the fridge and pulled out pancake syrup.

"I felt sick, so I came home."

I watched, perplexed, as she put the cheese snacks in a bowl and drizzled thick syrup over them.

"How sick?" I asked, now watching in disgust as she ate the bizarre combination.

"Sick. I ate something weird, and it made me feel this way," she shrugged nonchalantly.

"You mean like that?"

"No."

"I'm talking about those off-brand foods," I replied.

"Oh. Like that?"

"No," she deadpanned defensively. "I'm just regularly sick. You know how it is. We can't afford a doctor's checkup. So it's just regular sickness."

Well, I wasn't regularly sick. In fact, now that I thought about it, I never really got sick at all.

"Why don't you go get a checkup?"

"It's fine. I don't want to take any steps back. It's just normal sickness—maybe a little nausea here and there. I just eat too much."

"You mean like that?" I asked as she added more cheese snacks and syrup. She shot me a glare, causing me to laugh.
