Chapter 12 #3

He kissed the side of my head. “Let’s enjoy as much of this week together as we can. Can this shit wait until the playoffs are over?” He shifted away, his gaze meeting mine.

“Sure.” I’d think about talking to Lily, though. It wouldn’t hurt for her to know what was happening.

The next morning, I lay in bed reminiscing about yesterday, with Evan wrapped around me from behind.

We’d had such an amazing evening, enjoying the stew I’d made with some beers and then watching a movie, snuggled on my couch.

I hadn’t slept so peacefully in such a long time, but with his warmth hugging me all night, I hadn’t woken up once.

He stirred behind me. In a groggy voice, he said, “Hey.” His arm tightened around my ribs, and he pressed a soft kiss on my shoulder. “Are you awake?”

“Yeah.” I rolled around to face him. He’d drank more beer last night than I’d ever seen him drink. “How are you feeling this morning?” He’d even gotten a little silly with Bean. It had been cute.

“I’m fine.” He smacked his lips. “A little dehydrated.” Lowering his arm, he shifted his hips toward me, and his hard cock brushed against mine. “And horny.”

“Oh?” My morning erection grew hot. “Let’s fix that.” How long would I have him today? I lifted onto an elbow. “I’ll grab us a couple of bottled waters and meet you in the shower.”

“Yeah?” He quirked his lips. “We’re showering together?”

“Might as well shower and fool around at the same time.” I glanced toward the window, the blackout shade drawn across it. “Then we’ll have the coffee on the patio together that you talked about.”

“Yes.” Lifting, he grabbed the back of my head and planted a hard kiss on my lips. “Hurry.” He hopped out of bed, his thick cock bobbing between his thighs, and strode into my en-suite bathroom.

I’d let Bean out when we were done. Hopefully, it wouldn’t be a problem for him. As I climbed off the bed, I held my phone to my face and checked the time. It was ten, way earlier than I’d normally wake Bean.

As the shower started, I strode into the kitchen, grabbed our water and returned to my bathroom.

My gaze trailed over his muscled body, the thick thighs and round ass, water cascading down it as if he were some Greek god caught in a fountain.

He was a sight to behold. “I have your water.” I held it out.

“Thanks.” He snatched it, unscrewed the cap and gulped half of it down. “God, I needed that.” After capping the bottle and setting it on the floor of the shower, he tilted his head and slowly stroked his solid cock, focusing on me. “Get in here.”

After drinking some of my water, I stepped into the spray. “Can’t wait, huh?” I poured soap on my hands from a dispenser attached to the wall, and as my mouth pressed against his, I pushed our dicks together, fisting both. We hadn’t done this yet, and I wanted to show him everything.

With a groan, he rocked his hips, slipping his dick against mine while I stroked them both. “Damn, that’s nice.” He grabbed my ass and squeezed while claiming me with deep kisses.

As I slanted my mouth over his, I quickened my pace and tension knotted inside me. The warm water caressed my skin while he shifted his fingers toward my crack.

“Do you, uh, bottom or top?” Nibbling on my chin, he snuck his fingers toward my hole.

I tilted my head back, exposing my neck to him. “Sometimes bottom.” Sensation shivered up my spine. Hell, I’d bottom for him right now if he wanted it.

“Yeah?” Biting my neck, he nudged a finger against my hole and pressed. “Hell, I think I want to fuck you.”

“Now?” As pleasure pulsed inside me, my cock spasmed against his. We’d need lube and condoms and—

“Not right now, but sometime.” He sucked my earlobe into his mouth and growled. “Fucking hell, Ronan. I want you so badly.”

As sensation built to the raw edge, I shuddered against him. “C-close.” When he admitted these things, it was such a turn-on. “I want you, Evan. Need you…” I pumped our cocks even faster while we rutted against each other.

“Fuck.” Biting my earlobe, he snuck a hand between us and twisted my nipple piercing.

As pleasure exploded inside me, I cried out, my knees buckling, hot cum spurting between us and dribbling over my hand. With each surge of sensation, sparks lit behind my eyes, and my body tensed and released.

Holding me tightly, he pressed his forehead into my neck, whimpering, while his cock twitched in my fist, his cum unloading to mix with mine.

As it slowed, we both panted, leaning against each other.

“I’ve showered with a lot of guys, but damn, this might be the best shower I’ve ever had. ” He chuckled.

“It had better be.” As heat sparked in my chest, I grabbed his chin and lifted his head. “Don’t look at other guys in the shower.” Hell, where had that come from? I had a possessive side with him.

“Oh, really?” He gave me a sly grin. “I don’t look at the other guys in the shower.” Pulling me to him, he pressed a solid kiss on my mouth. “You have nothing to worry about.”

With a curt nod, I said, “I know.” I should tone this down. I stared at his neck. “I’m, uh…” I snorted a short laugh. “You’re making me a little crazy.”

“Good.” He cupped my cheeks and placed a toe-curling kiss on my lips. “I guess we’re both crazy about each other now.”

Emotions swirled inside me. Was he falling for me? After last night, I was certain I was falling for him. “Okay. Let’s clean up so we can enjoy the next part of our morning.” I wouldn’t say that. Not yet.

“Oh yeah, coffee on the patio.” He squirted soap into his hand and rubbed it across my chest and down to my waning dick. “Let me just wash you first.” With a snicker, he tugged a few times.

“Keep doing that and we might be another hour.” I pinched his nipple and smirked.

“Ow, damn.” Barking out a laugh, he rubbed his nipple and then continued to wash me.

“What a pleasant morning.” I sat on a patio sofa beside Evan, with a coffee in my hand, enjoying the sounds of the chirping birds and quiet, while gazing off toward the distant mountains.

“Is it still morning?” Lifting a brow, Evan sipped his coffee. “I haven’t slept this late since I was a teenager.”

“Really? Ten was early for me.” I patted Bean on the head while he panted beside me. Would Evan be able to stay the night again? “What is your schedule like tomorrow?”

“I have a morning skate, and I have to hit the gym.” He slung his arm around my shoulders, pulling me closer. “I…could leave for it from here, but I’d have to be in bed earlier.”

He thought the same thing as I. “If it meant having you in my bed for another night, I’d let you go to bed before me.”

Nuzzling my ear, he said, “What if you just came to bed with me?”

As my heart tingled with warmth, I said, “I could try that.” Even if I lay there awake for a few hours, I’d be in his arms. It wouldn’t be so bad.

My phone buzzed on the coffee table. “Shit, it’s probably Drew.

” I leaned over and picked it up. Jeff scrolled across the top.

My eyes popped open and my heart pitched.

“Who’s Jeff?” He furrowed his brows.

“My, uh…” Why now? “My father.” I inhaled deeply. When had we last spoken on the phone?

“Shit, are you going to take it?” He straightened.

“Yeah.” Clearing my throat, I set my coffee on the side table and rose from the sofa. “H-hello?”

“Ronan, it’s your father.”

No shit. “Yes, I know.” I took a few steps across the patio, my gaze falling to my bare feet. What the hell did I have to say to him? Nothing. “How are you?”

“Actually, not so great.” He sighed. “I have something to tell you, but it should be in person.” He paused. “You live in Scottsdale now, right?”

“No, Paradise Valley. Well, on the border of Scottsdale.” How the hell had he discovered that? Maybe the information was available in a Google search. I should discuss this matter with Lily. I glanced at Evan, who watched me closely.

“I’m in Arizona, so can you give me your address, and I’ll come over?” he asked.

“What?” Shit, was he serious? “When? Today?” I snuck a peek at Evan. Would I have to send him home? Hell no. My father could wait.

“Yes, today.” He huffed. “It’s urgent, Ronan.”

“Then tell me over the phone. I’m busy today.” Had he gotten himself into trouble? Hell, I knew nothing about him. As I paced across the patio, Bean hopped off the sofa and followed me. Bean sensed when I was upset.

“Son, I really need to see you. Today. I don’t know how long I’ll be here,” he said.

Son? Fucking hell. “Fine. I’ll text you the address to your phone. When do you think you’ll arrive?”

“Maybe an hour or two?” He breathed into the phone. “Thank you, Ronan. I’ll see you soon.” The call ended.

“Fuck!” I fisted my free hand and took deep breaths, glaring at the mountains.

“Hey, what happened?” Evan placed his hand on my shoulder. “Is everything okay?”

I turned, hooking my arms around his chest and burying my face into his shoulder as my gut tied into a knot. I’d made my peace with having no parents. Why was he doing this? “It’s fine. It’s just…” I took a deep breath. “He wants to see me. Today. He says it’s urgent.”

“Okay. Do you want me to leave?” He hugged me closer. “But I don’t want to leave you now. You’re upset.”

“I’m not upset.” Bracing myself, I lifted my head. “I’m angry.” My gaze darted between his eyes. I didn’t want this disrupting our plans for today, but there was no avoiding it.

“That’s being upset.” He brushed his knuckles down my cheek. “What do you think he wants?”

“I don’t know. It could be anything.” With a ragged huff, I stepped away from him and threaded my fingers through my bangs. “He stated he’ll be here in an hour or two.” After the discussion about keeping our relationship secret, what would he want to do?

“Ronan, I’ll stay here if you want me to.” He grabbed my arm and twisted me to face him. “Unless you think it’ll be too uncomfortable.”

I met his gaze. “He knows I’m bisexual.” My brain jumbled with thoughts. Why the hell had he called? I could barely think straight.

“So? He doesn’t know I am. You can introduce me as a friend.” He wrinkled his forehead. “Hell, tell him I’m here to help you with your fitness.” He chuckled. “People know we’re hanging out.”

Planting a hand on my hip, I freed a sigh.

Depending on the situation, I might need Evan’s support.

“Fuck, okay. Stay, and I’ll introduce you as a friend.

” I gave him a pointed look. “But I haven’t spoken to him in years.

Not since…” The corners of my eyes pricked with heat.

“Not since my mom died. He called me that day, but we only spoke for a moment. I didn’t want to talk to him. ”

“Okay.” He approached me, wrapped me in a bear hug, and kissed my hair.

“I’ll be here for you, Ronan. I care about you.

” He skimmed his hand across my back. “Hell, after last night...” He lifted his head, and his gaze locked on mine, his hand cupping my cheek and thumb brushing across it.

“After last night, I think I’m falling for you. ”

My heart flooded with warmth. How was this happening all at once? “I-I’m falling for you too, Evan.”

A grin teased his lips. “Good. I’m staying. I’m not going anywhere.” He pressed a lingering kiss, full of emotion, on my lips. “Now, how about breakfast? I’m getting hungry.” He gave me a tentative smile. “Can I cook for you? Do you have eggs and bacon?”

I raised my brows. Breakfast wasn’t for me, but knowing he was an athlete, I should have guessed it was his. “Yes, I have eggs and shit. But I can—”

“No, you’ve done enough. Let me do this for you.” He strolled to my coffee, picked it up and brought it to me. “Here, you finish this while I make us some breakfast.”

“Okay.” I sipped my coffee. Hell, I could use a second cup.
