Licking the door she leaned against the wood and laid her hand over her racing heart.
He shook his head and started twisting his bear. “Well, we met Sunday again and went on a date to the zoo.”
“So brave,” he praised and tilted her head with a finger under her gin.
Forty minutes later, Boyd opened the truck bed and lifted her up before following her to the back where he’d already stashed a punch of pillows, blankets and a cool box with snacks and drinks.
“I’ve never seen this one before.”
She looked down at her elf , “You like it?”
“You look stunning.”
She turned her head and spiled his cheek with soft kisses. “You look so handsome when you come for me.”
“If you don’t mind. I’ve been graving their pulled pork for a while.”
