17. Kingston #2
“We’re going to Jake’s place after practice,” Kingston announced, abruptly turning and switching the water on. He didn’t wait for Riley’s reply as he wetted a paper towel and started cleaning the cum that was splattered on the front of the counter.
“Can I ask why?” Riley stepped around him and washed off his hands, frowning as he looked at Kingston in the reflection. “I thought you wanted to have sex, not hang out with friends.”
Kingston straightened and tossed the paper towel in the trash, shrugging just like Riley had. “If watching porn and reading step-by-step instructions isn’t helping you find your balls, maybe going to the experts will give you some confidence.”
He grinned when Riley’s mouth opened in horror, and he was stunned into silence.
Good. Kingston was tired of hearing him talk anyway.
“They’ve been asking me to visit, so I don’t think they’ll be mad,” Kingston said, flashing Riley a smirk as he strolled to the door and flicked the lock.
“I’ll go first so you can have a few minutes to reorganize yourself, Evans.
I’ll tell the team that you’ll be late because you’re shitting your guts up—I’m sure Coach will understand. ”
“Don’t you fucking dare, Sloan. Don’t you—”
Kingston was already out the door, ignoring Riley’s threat in favour of checking that no one was around. Most of the guys were on the ice, but there were a few stragglers in the locker room, their voices echoing and laughter filling the halls.
Riley would have no choice but to stay put for a few minutes to avoid being spotted leaving from the same room—and also because he really should jerk off before stripping in front of their teammates to gear up. That gave Kingston plenty of time to spread the rumour, just to fuck with him.
He may be ready to bend for the guy, but Kingston would never stop antagonizing the prick. That was a promise he’d made to himself to justify the lapse in his sanity, and he intended to keep it.
Besides, what was the point in fucking his rival if he didn’t get a little hate sex out of it?
The first thing Kingston did when he walked into Jake’s penthouse after practice was greet him and Allen. The second thing he did was snoop.
Sure, they were there to talk, but Kingston didn’t want to start with the boring shit. He would let Riley catch up with his friends while he explored the place, just to make sure there wasn’t anything suspicious hidden inside.
That’s what he told himself, but the penthouse was warm and welcoming, and the view of the harbour with the two bridges was awesome.
There was no weird sex dungeon as far as he could tell, just a gym, a small room filled with cozy chairs and bookshelves, and a trophy room that had both Allen and Jake’s things displayed.
There was a lingering clash of styles in certain parts of the home where Jake’s minimalist taste met Allen’s love of rich colours and warm lighting. Somehow, though, it worked. The space still felt comfortable and lived-in rather than mismatched. The bedroom, especially, felt inviting.
A large bed dominated the room, wide enough for Kingston to sprawl across without touching the edges. Thick, high-quality blankets were layered neatly over the mattress, promising comfort the moment he slipped under them.
The bedding followed a calm blue theme: deep navy sheets, a lighter blue duvet, and a scattering of pillows in different shades that made the whole space feel cool and restful. A couple of soft lamps cast a gentle glow across the bed, making it look inviting enough to want to take a nap.
Kingston turned away from the bed and went to the dressers instead, curious to see if the men were hiding any interesting toys inside. He thought he would find a dildo, but he wasn’t prepared to pull open the top drawer and find a huge collection of lacy panties.
“What the fuck…”
It didn’t make sense that they were there. Allen had obviously been redecorating and moving his things in, so there was no reason for there to be a drawer full of women’s underwear in the penthouse. Pretty ones, too.
Kingston had no impulse control, so nothing was stopping him from picking up a pair to study them. His calloused fingers curled into the delicate green fabric, appreciating their softness as he held them up with a triumphant grin.
They were definitely made for a girl, and since they were in Allen and Jake’s bedroom, it meant only one thing.
“Having fun playing with my panties?”
Kingston was so startled that he didn’t make a sound as he spun toward the door, hiding his hands behind his back like a kid who had just been caught touching something he wasn’t supposed to.
Which was true.
Allen had his arms folded over his chest, looking unamused as one eyebrow slowly drifted upward.
“They’re yours,” Kingston said, struggling to articulate through his shock. “You wear them.”
Allen’s disappointment shifted into something more playful, leaving Kingston feeling like a mouse in a trap.
“Having panties in my underwear drawer would imply that I wear them,” Allen said, his voice changing into what could have passed for a purr. “Jake seems to think I look good in them, so he went and bought me a collection.”
Allen unfolded his arms and strolled toward Kingston in a way that didn’t look dangerous, but it certainly fucking felt it.
“Do you need proof, Kingston? Will that sate your curiosity?”
Something in Allen’s tone made it impossible to think, see, and hear all at once, leaving Kingston scrambling to function.
He ended up locked onto Allen’s hand as he began running his thumb along the waistband of his sweats, gently tugging the material down by an inch to tease a glimpse of blue hidden beneath.
Kingston’s mouth went dry, robbing him of the ability to breathe, too.
Allen’s forwardness was expected because the guy had a natural way of flirting, but this was a lot.
He knew he wanted to get fucked by Riley, but he would be lying to himself if the thought of being sandwiched between Jake and Allen had never crossed his mind.
Allen let go of his waistband with a chuckle, and it snapped against his skin, hiding the blue lace from view. “Oh, jeez. I’m just tormenting you, baby boy. I forgot how new you are to this kind of attention.”
It took a momentous effort for Kingston to drag his gaze away from Allen’s hip to his brown eyes—to meet them while knowing his face was burning.
“I’m new, but I like it,” said Kingston. “And if it weren’t for Evans, his rules, and his fucking possessiveness, I would flirt back if Jake was okay with it.”
He watched Allen glance at the bruises that were higher on his throat where his shirt couldn’t hide them, and his smirk widened into a grin. “I think you’re no better if the teeth marks on Riley are anything to go by.”
Yeah, Kingston gave as good as he got. He hadn’t been shy about reminding Riley that it didn’t matter if he was on top; he was allowing him to take that position. Kingston was plenty strong enough to reverse their roles any time he wanted. He just didn’t want to.
“I bite him because I hate him,” said Kingston. “Big difference.”
“Uh-huh.” Allen was crossing his arms again, trying to make himself look more intimidating, as if he could scare Kingston into telling the truth.
Not willing to get caught, Kingston stepped forward, closing the fraction of space left between him and Allen. “Maybe someday I’ll convince him to let us play with you guys,” he said, touching his fingers to Allen’s hip and letting them dip under the waistband until he felt warm lace.
Allen’s breath hitched, mouth opening as he blinked up at Kingston like a startled deer.
“But until that day,” Kingston smirked as he revealed his other hand hidden behind his back, holding up the green lace triumphantly, “I’m taking these as a souvenir.”
And this time it was Allen who was left stuttering and blushing as Kingston swaggered away, so much so that he didn’t bother to stop Kingston from stealing his underwear.
With his snooping done, Kingston shoved the panties into his pocket with a chuckle and returned to the living room to see what Riley was doing. Evans was exactly where he knew he would be, sitting on the sectional beside Jake, arms pressed together and chatting quietly while they watched TV.
Just to annoy him, Kingston sat on Jake’s other side, keeping space between him and the big guy in case physical touch wasn’t welcome.
Jake’s attention diverted from the conversation he was having with Riley to land on Kingston, frowning at the separation as if he were insulted. Kingston allowed himself to look at him, judging if he was attracted to the man even though he already knew he was.
Jake wasn’t as expressive as Allen or as loud as Riley, but the calm energy he exuded was just as addictive.
Kingston liked the way he smelled. He liked how he frowned when he was listening to conversations he didn’t understand.
And yes, the whole shirtless thing showed off his gorgeous body, too—and Kingston liked what he saw.
It wasn’t that he was attracted to all guys. Kingston had glanced at a few of his teammates to see if there was any interest, but so far, it was just the three men in this penthouse he seemed drawn to.
Two of whom were dating, and the third refused to do anything other than fuck to relieve stress.
Maybe.
The promise he had made to Evans wasn’t all in jest, but seeing as it was unlikely the idiot would fall for him, he wasn’t worried.
“You can touch.”
Kingston blinked, abruptly tuning back into the conversation hard enough to make him jolt. “W-What?”
Jake was staring, brows pinched as he glanced between them again. “You can touch me—if you want. Allen says you’re touch-starved.”
Riley’s laughter was muffled by the pillow he had grabbed to shove his face in. Kingston was going to punch him when they went back to their apartment, but he didn’t want to upset Jake and Allen by getting blood on their white rug.
