Chapter Twenty One
Familiar Relations
My heart pounding is audible as I stare into the eyes of my soul mate while carrying the face of my newest love.
He looks back at me with wild eyes as his mouth moves but his words fall on deaf ears.
Every singular moment we have spent together creeps together to create a fucked up mess of confusion.
My first thought is why? Why did he pretend to be someone else?
I then begin to question the truthfulness of his words.
Was all of it a lie? Did he ever really love me?
I swear I feel my soul being shredded to pieces as tears well up in my eyes.
“Everly, look at me baby!” His voice cuts through my thoughts. I hadn’t even realized that I had started pacing the room.
“Why?” I croak out.
“That’s the big question is it? Why did he pretend to be two different people?” Xavier laughs hypocritically.
“I’m so sorry. It was never meant to be like this. I just-,” I giggle and his words falter.
“You just what? Lied to me? Pretended to be someone you aren’t? Did you ever even love me?” My voice cracked at the end. He rapidly shakes his head while blood drips down his neck. The sight hurts to see but the anger fueling me in the moment over shadows that.
“No. I never lied to you. Not once. Everything I have ever said was the truth. I love you with my entire being. I have loved you my entire life, even before I was graced by the gods to know you.” I scoff.
Looking to my right I see a large hunting knife perfectly placed on a cart.
Mechanically, I grab it before anyone has time to react.
Leaping towards Blake, I grab his hair and pull his head back.
Drawing the knife up, I put it against his throat.
“What a turn of events!” Xavier laughs behind me. Ignoring his words, I keep my eyes locked on Blake’s. His adams apple bobs causing his skin to scrape the blade. His face doesn’t change as he keeps eye contact with me.
“Are you afraid to die?” I ask, copying his words he said to me once upon a time.
“I would happily die by your hands if it meant you were the last thing I saw.” He speaks, causing my heart to burn in my chest. I growl before pulling his head into mine, kissing him hungrily.
He kisses me back with the same aggression.
His mouth tastes of blood and I moan in response.
Suddenly, I’m grabbed and thrown away from him. Xavier looks down at me with annoyance.
“Still a little slut for bad men, I see. I wonder just how far you would go to save your precious love.” Xavier’s tone is soaked in pure evil that causes me to shudder.
“You aren’t going to touch her!” Blake yells.
“Oh, no. Not me. We have better ways to break her.” Xavier chuckles villainously before nodding to the glass behind me.
Seconds later, the door opens. James, Lucas, and Ryon enter.
Each showcases various injuries caused by apparent torture.
Their eyes go wide as they take in the scene before them.
Looking between me, Blake, his discarded mask, and Xavier.
Then they start yelling, though most of their words are directed at Blake who sits back in his seat expressionless.
“Now that the gang's all here…” Xavier says while rubbing his hands together, a haunting smile rested on his face.
“This is how things are going to go. Each of you will take your turn with the girl, then I’ll kill her, then we will finish off the day by killing Mr. Mikaelson here.
” We all gasp at his words. Blake screams and thrashes in his chair as the guys each throw themselves back towards the wall in an ill attempt to gain distance between us.
“I’m not doing shit.” I tell him, squaring my shoulders.
“Okay, it seems you need a bit of incentive then” he says before walking over to Blake, putting a gun to his temple, and cocking it. Blake’s nostrils flare as he looks to Xavier with animalistic fury.
Panic sets in as my heart screams for him and his safety. I feel nauseous in fear at the sight of his life hanging in the balance. I am in control and I am not helpless. I must take control of this situation to ensure we have a way out. Like my mind is read, Xavier speaks again.
“Fine. Clearly we have gotten off on the wrong foot here. One of these fine gentlemen will break you in today, with Mr. Mikaelson as the audience of course. Then for the rest of your time here, my men will have their turn until you are broken and beg for death. On that day, I will kill each of them in front of you, give you peace, and only then will Blake here be given mercy by killing himself.” I gape at his words but know what I must do to borrow time until they can be rescued, even if it kills me.
“Fine, I’ll do it.” I say softly.
“Would you like to pick who will have the honors?” Xavier asks like he's giving me the options of entrees for dinner. My eyes scan across the men behind me. I consider each for whom this will affect the least. The decision comes quickly as I feel there is really only one option.
“Lucas.” I say confidently. Looking over to him, his head hangs while nodding slightly in acceptance. He knew I would pick him.
“No, no, no, no, no. You piece of shit.” Blake flails and spits towards Xavier but is silenced by the gun being forced against his temple harder.
“Feeling a bit nostalgic, are we?” Xavier laughs, ignoring Blake’s outburst.
Ignoring his words, I ask, “Preferred method?” Trying to create a lack of intensity to what is about to happen. I make sure to only look at him from here on out, never letting my eyes drift to Blake. If they do, I know my walls will crumble.
“Dealer's choice.” He says pleasantly while waving his hand around.
Considering my options, I settle with oral as my choice.
It allows for the least amount of contact and from this angle, I’ll be able to hide the act from Blake the best I can.
A handjob will only piss off Xavier. I need to sacrifice something here.
Moving towards Lucas, I look up at him as his eyes come down to find mine.
A painful expression paints his face and I know exactly where his mind is going.
Back to those painful nights where we would have to do these things to each other.
The worst part of it all was that we had to do it until we both finished. Otherwise we would be tortured.
“Hey.” I say, drawing his attention further to me.
“Close your eyes and think about someone else. Anyone else.” I beg. He nods and looks up to the ceiling while closing his eyes. I cast my gaze to James and Ryon who stare forward, not even acknowledging my presence. This offers me a small bit of peace.
Reaching up, I collect Lucas’s pants button and unlatch it.
Taking his zipper into my fingers, I draw it down until his pants are entirely open.
I hesitate as his boxers come into view and decide on how to proceed.
Making up my mind, I tap him on the thigh to ask for his help.
He mechanically removes his penis and immediately puts his hands back behind him again.
Slowly, I reach up and grasp it. His body winces in response but I ignore it.
We need to get this over with quickly. Lazily, I stroke it a few times.
“The rules still apply, Everly.” Xavier says behind me and I look behind me in horror. He means I need to finish this too. My hand stalls its motion as tears well up in my eyes. My mind travels back to those traumatizing moments.
“You, help her with taking care of your friend here.” He says and moments later I hear James’s choked voice.
