Bonus Scene Greedy
The boat rocks gently from side to side, the soothing motion and the warmth from the sun lulling us all into a state of tranquil bliss. We’ve been out here for a few hours already, relaxing on the water and sharing a case of beer.
Levi and I are spread out on one of the benches of the pontoon boat, with him nestled between my legs and his back to my chest.
I run one hand through his soft curls, then grip him tighter and tip his head back, putting him right where I want him.
With my lips to his ear, I ask, “Comfortable?”
He hums, craning back to meet me in a sweet, languid kiss.
Except the sweetness doesn’t last.
It never does with my man.
One of Levi’s hands finds the back of my head, pulling me down so he can deepen the connection and put me where he wants me.
I allow it, reveling in the heated, drugging kisses he rewards me with. Blunt nails dig into my nape, increased urgency thrumming between us with each passing second. He slips his tongue into my mouth, teasing the tip in and out until we’re both panting.
My length is rock solid against his low back. I feel rather than see the smirk painted across his face as he keeps feeding me his tongue. He knows damn well how deeply he affects me.
Dammit.
Ten seconds of making out with my boyfriend and I’m about to come in my swim trunks.
“Leev,” I scold, nipping his bottom lip.
That just makes him press his tight little ass harder into my erection.
“Si’s right there,” I remind him, tipping my head at Sione, who is perched in the captain’s chair.
School’s out for the semester. Hunter expressed a desire to sleep in. Spence cleared his schedule in advance and promised to look after her this afternoon.
We didn’t have anything to do or anywhere to be. When Sione suggested we take the boat out, I was instantly in. I convinced Levi to come day drinking with me under the guise of needing to blow off steam. If I’m honest, though, I’ve been missing him lately.
Without the routine from going to class each day, and with all of us taking extra care to make sure Hunter is happy and comfortable, we haven’t had much time to connect, he and I.
Life has settled down. We’re staying at the Crusade Mansion through the summer for sure, maybe longer. The stress of the last several weeks has weighed heavily on all of us. It’s hard to quell the impulse of always being on edge, but that’s where we’re at.
I just wanted to carve out time for Levi and I to exist without expectations. Spending some quality time with Sione is a bonus.
Si rises from his place at the helm, stretching his arms overhead and revealing a few inches of his taut, tan abdomen. It constantly blows my mind that all the guy does is yoga and he gets to look like that.
We lock eyes, and Si lifts one eyebrow. “There’s no need to stop on my account. I never want my presence to interfere with the intimacy you share.”
Levi snickers, the taunt directed at me. “Ya hear that, G? Sione’s a big proponent of boat sex.” He cranes back again, this time kissing the hollow of my throat.
I hold back a shudder, supremely turned on but acutely aware that we’re not alone.
I tip my chin toward Si. “I don’t want to make you uncomfortable, man.”
He dismisses me with a shrug. “I’m not uncomfortable right now. Your regard is kind, but if I become uncomfortable, it’s up to me to communicate that or remove myself from the situation.”
I keep my focus on him, knowing I can take him at his word.
Meanwhile, my boyfriend turns around so he can keep enticing me with his wicked tongue. He focuses on my throat, then kisses down my chest. When he bites one of my nipples through the thin fabric of my T-shirt, I hiss.
He makes a move for the other side, but I grab his hair and halt his progress.
“Stop that,” I grouse, annoyed that I have to be the responsible one and put an end to his shenanigans.
“But G,” he practically whines. He drapes his body over mine so our chests rub together, then slinks lower. He lifts my T-shirt to expose my stomach and chest. “Baby,” he murmurs against my skin, setting every nerve ending in my body sizzling like a sparkler.
All my muscles tense, my body raring to go. He runs his tongue along my happy trail like it’s his personal roadmap, then gazes up at me from beneath hooded lids. “I just need a little taste.”
He tugs hard, like he wants to take my shirt off completely. I sit up enough to let him pull it over my head.
An intrusive splash makes us both jolt, scrambling to sit upright.
As we peer over the side of the boat, Sione crests the water. “The energy shifted,” he says with a rueful chuckle. “I’m going to swim out to the farthest buoy. I estimate it will take me fifteen to twenty minutes.”
So much for not making him uncomfortable.
“You’re bad,” I tell Levi, shoving him playfully as I settle back against the bench seat. Once I’m situated, I try to pull him back to me. He resists, giving a slow shake of his head as he uses one hand to yank his T-shirt overhead.
I can’t help but lick my lips as I take in the taut expanse of his chest and the freckled golden skin stretched over his pecs and abs.
“You love it,” he quips, smirking and making no moves to lie back down.
“I love you,” I counter, emotion clogging my throat in a way that makes it hard to even get the words out.
“You’re tipsy,” Levi accuses.
I grin. Between my buzz and the sunshine and the gentle rocking of the boat and just being here with him? Yeah. I’m love drunk, and I’m not afraid to admit it.
I prop up on my elbows, eyeing my gorgeous boyfriend. “Come here,” I encourage, tipping my chin his way and flexing my abs, just a little, to entice him to join me.
“We only have fifteen minutes,” he warns, lowering his upper body. He cradles my head in his hands. I match his hold, cupping his face and bringing his mouth to mine in the slowest, sweetest kiss.
Fifteen minutes is nothing. I want to drag this out. I want to savor him all damn night.
“Just lay with me,” I suggest, running my palms down his broad back until he gets the hint and gives me more of his weight.
“That’s all you wanna do?” he teases, rolling his hips so his erect cock jabs into mine.
I grunt. Of course that’s not all I want to fucking do, but I lock my arms around his back and hold steady.
“I want to take my time with you.” I nip his earlobe and tug it between my teeth. “Cuddle with me now. Then tonight, once everyone’s asleep, we can head down to the hot tub together.”
He hums, the vibration rumbling from his chest to mine as he rests his cheek on my shoulder. “Hunter won’t be able to join us,” he hedges.
“I know. I just want you tonight, Leev.”
“So we shouldn’t mention our plans to Spence?”
Now he’s just trying to rile me up. I grip his sides, pulling him to me and locking him in place.
“Just you. Just me.” I grind myself against him for emphasis. “Just us, baby. Is that okay with you?”
“Yeah, of course,” he placates, clearly picking up on the desperate edge to my request.
Nuzzling closer, he buries his face in the side of my neck, inhaling deeply. We lie together, neither of us saying another word, until my inhalations sync to his exhalations, our bodies ebbing and flowing like we were made to be one.
I play with the soft strands of his hair. I feel him smile against my collarbone before he hums contently.
And to think we almost didn’t have this.
A niggling sensation pricks my insides. It’s not new, but it’s linked to a thought I’ve never had the courage to say out loud.
“Hey, Leev?”
He hums again in answer.
“I’m—”
My voice cracks. Clearing my throat, I try again. “I’m sorry I didn’t realize what you were to me sooner.”
Popping up onto his forearms, he shakes his head and scowls. “What are you even talking about?”
“That summer… when we met Hunter? I was swept up, so fucking in love with her… and you were right there the whole damn time.”
His scowl softens, but his intense focus stays fixed on me.
“You didn’t know, G,” he pacifies.
I huff out a humorless laugh. “But I should have.”
“No.”
He delivers the word with finality. Shaking his head, he shifts up until we’re face to face and he can look me directly in the eyes.
“Back then, had we tried? It never would have worked, baby. I didn’t know myself well enough. Neither of us was experienced enough. I’m grateful we didn’t try back then.”
I raise my eyebrows defiantly, but he continues.
“I definitely wasn’t in a place to hold your heart the way you deserved to be held.
If anything, I’m sorry for how I left things when I went off to school.
You were alone. I knew you were struggling.
It was—it was easier to leave than it was to worry about how you’d react to her leaving.
” He closes his eyes for a moment. A few stray curls brush my forehead as he hangs his head and gives it a shake.
“I hate that we both left you that summer. I’m so sorry, G. ”
Lacing my hands behind his head, I break the intensity with a kiss.
Pulling away, I remind him, “I always knew you were going to go.” I kiss him again, then add, “I’m just really fucking glad you came back to me.”
“I love you,” Levi says on a shaky inhale. “Despite everything we had to go through to get here, I know exactly where I’m meant to be.”
I wag my eyebrows, goading him. “Oh yeah? And where’s that, Leev?”
He smirks, leaves me waiting for a few breaths, then bends low, ghosting his lips over mine. “Buried balls deep in your tight ass while you cling to the side of the hot tub, begging me to fuck you harder.”
I shove him off me with a growl.
“Sione!” I scream across the water. “Come on, man. We’ve got to get back to the house!”
