3. Chapter Three #2
Kara might have been OK with something happening between Marcos and I, but tonight was amping up to be a whole different scenario all together.
All three of them would not stop smiling or flirting or even touching me at times.
The damn passing of dishes had turned into a way to slide their fingers along mine.
“Here.” Nico nudged my shoulder with his, before he was pressing the blunt into my hand.
I wrapped my fingers around it and brought it to my lips.
I took a deep drag, trying not to blush at the thought that both Marcos’s and Nico’s lips were on the paper before mine.
It was slightly damp, but thankfully neither one of them had saturated the thing.
There was nothing worse than someone wetting the paper with too much saliva.
I slowly exhaled the smoke that filled my lungs, tilting my head back so I blew the smoke up and not straight at Kara’s face. I turned to hand the blunt to Jason, but he gently pushed my hand back. “Hit it again.”
I didn’t need to be told twice. I took another quick drag, sucking deeper this time, before I passed it to him.
I held in the smoke as long as I could, before I was hit with a coughing spell, smoke exhaled from my lungs as I coughed deeply.
I covered my mouth, trying to stifle the noise of my coughs, as to not give away what we were all up to behind the dumpsters .
A hand rubbed my back as I slowly regained my breath. “Fuck,” I muttered.
Jason chuckled next to me, blowing out a smooth stream of smoke as he handed the blunt to Kara. A hand on my shoulder, squeezed the tender spot where my neck met my shoulder, and yanked me to the side. I jumped slightly as I was pulled against Jason’s hard body. “Easy,” he murmured into my ear.
I shivered in response to his touch and the way his voice drove me utterly crazy.
“Cold?”
I shrugged a shoulder and glanced at Marcos and Nico.
Both men were watching me intently, as Jason still had his arm around me, holding me against his warm body.
Marcos’s dark eyes were hungry as they drank me in, while Nico had a playful grin on his face as he let his eyes roam over me—not that he could see much with my coat on.
Kara cleared her throat and I blushed as I pulled away from Jason. He slowly let his hand drop from her shoulder, letting it slide down her back as he let her step away.
“Are you spending the night, tonight?” Kara asked me. There was a knowing grin on her face as she asked the question.
“Yeah,” I muttered. “I gotta grab my bag out of my car though.” I reached into my coat pocket, feeling for my keys.
“Here.” Nico smirked, pushing the blunt toward me. His fingers lingered over mine as he handed me the half smoked blunt; his hands were warm against my skin. I hadn’t realized how quick the temps had dropped since the sun went down.
How was it my turn again? I was used to the frat boys I usually smoked with sitting on the blunt for a while. These guys seemed all about the puff, puff, pass. I was already feeling the effects as I took another slow drag, letting the smoke fill my lungs before I sucked in clean air after.
I passed the blunt to Jason, when I felt my phone vibrate in my pocket. I pulled it out and sighed as I saw the face on the screen. “Fucking Tommy?” Kara groaned, having seen my phone screen. “I thought you broke up with that douche?”
I exhaled my smoke and hit ignore on the call, before I tucked the phone back in my pocket. “I did. He won’t take the hint.”
“’Cause he was whooped on that pussy from day one?” Kara laughed.
I groaned and shook my head. “Dude.” My cheeks heated as a blush coated my face. The three guys shifted on their feet, and I could see Marcos’s scowl out of the corner of my eye.
Kara, already high, just laughed and laughed. “He’s still in loveeeeee,” Kara sang.
I laughed at her friend and shook my head. “Dude, it wasn’t even like that. It was supposed to be casual.” I ignored the men shifting around her. “I told him that up front.”
Kara laughed even more .
My phone rang again. “Jesus.” I grumbled when I saw Tommy’s picture again.
A large, calloused hand slid over mine, warm and strong as it gripped my fingers, pressing them tighter around the phone. I looked up in confusion, giving Marcos the distraction he needed, to pull the phone from my grip. “What are you doing?”
He didn’t answer me, instead he hit accept on the call from Tommy and pressed the phone to his ear. “Hello?” Marcos’s voice was deep and low as he answered the call, a gravelly growl that had me clenching my thighs together.
“Who’s this?” Tommy’s voice, while slightly muffled, was still clear as day from my phone.
I was at a loss for words. I didn’t even fight him back for my phone, I just waited on bated breath to see what Marcos would say to Tommy. “Maya’s now mine. So fuck off.”
My mouth dropped open in shock, I was already too high to comprehend what Marcos was saying right now. Kara’s giggle didn’t help either.
“Who the fuck are you? Put Maya on the phone now,” Tommy yelled.
“Listen, shit head,” Marcos continued. “Maya dumped you. She’s had enough. Now she’s mine. So fuck off.” Marcos hung up the phone after that.
A deep blush colored my face as my mouth dropped open in shock.
I stepped toward Marcos to grab my phone, but he slid it in his pocket.
Narrowing my eyes on him, I crossed my arms over my chest and cocked my hip, raising an eyebrow and waiting.
“Relax, Tesoro , you’ll get your phone back.
Now hit this.” Someone how the blunt was back in his hand.
He took a deep drag off the almost finished blunt and stepped toward me.
Oh fuck , is he planning on shot gunning this, right in front of his sister? What’s he planning? I had no idea but still found my feet moving toward Marcos.
Marcos smirked down at me before he pressed the blunt between my lips. He held it, as I sucked in a hit. My heart pounded in my chest, and I heard Nico chuckle softly to my right, before his hand slid into my coat pocket. I heard my keys jingle as I turned my head away from the blunt.
I took another deep breath of fresh air, pulling the smoke further into my lungs, all while Marcos still stood inches away from me, looking down at me with a smirk on his face. His dark eyes were mischievous in the light of the parking lot.
“Come on, girl. I’m freezing.” Kara tugged my hand, pulling me away from Marcos.
There was a rumble of low laughter from behind us as we walked away. I glanced over my shoulder as Kara and I hit the stairs, to find all three guys—including Nico with my bag slung over his shoulder—standing where we left them, staring after me.
“What the hell is happening?” I mumbled, as we climbed to the second floor .
Kara laughed and shook her head. “Girl. You’re so fucked.”
I gasped. “What do you mean? Kara?”
“Word on the street is my brother and his friends only date together. As in, sharing .”
I stopped in my tracks on the stairs. “What?”
“Keep moving, they’re watching.” Both of us picked up our pace and headed toward Kara’s apartment. “Yes, they usually share a girl amongst the three of them.”
“Hot damn.” My heart was pounding, and my breath quickened.
“Come on, inside.” Kara opened the apartment door and led the way inside.
Lita was just setting out the brownies I had brought, along with a tray of cookies and a pumpkin pie.
After I shed my coat and kicked off my shoes again, I had to excuse myself to the bathroom.
I had a lot to wrap my head around, the idea of being with three men was insane, wasn’t it?
Kara didn’t seem bothered by any of it, not the idea of her brother with me or the idea of me with three guys.
It was all happening too quickly. I barely knew these dudes and they were all over me. I took my time in the bathroom, wishing I had my phone to at least occupy my thoughts, or fucking text Terri, but Marcos still had the device, and I didn’t know how I was going to attempt to get that back .
I waited until after I heard the apartment door open and close, and Marcos started a conversation with his mother, before I finally washed my hands, checked that my dirty blond curls were in place, and left the bathroom.
As soon as I walked into the living room, the eyes of all three men were on me again.
I ignored them and headed straight for the table.
“Dude, are these caramel brownies? They look fucking awesome,” Kara grinned, meeting my eye.
I was grateful for the distraction and smiled easily. “Yes. I need like four and a huge glass of milk.”
“Milk, coming right up.” Lita grinned, immediately walking into the kitchen.
“I can get it,” I offered, not wanting Lita to wait on me.
“Sit, sit. I’ve got it.” Lita waved me off.
“We watching a movie?” Nico asked, moving toward the TV.
“Yeah! We gotta watch Encino Man,” Marcos said.
I settled back at the table and helped myself to a slice of pumpkin pie and a brownie, not giving a damn about the calories I was about to consume. Jason took a seat next to me, and his foot immediately slid against mine—so that’s who my mystery footsie partner was.
“You want whip cream?” Jason asked, his voice low as he leaned over and spoke into my ear, his breath hot against my skin.
I turned my head ever to look at him, our faces inches apart. His eyes were a such a clear light gray color that was utterly beautiful. His gaze was intense as he took me in. The room around us melted away as I spoke softly. “I love whip cream.”
A playful grin tugged at his lips.
“Maya, you good with Encino Man?” Marcos called from the living room area.
Glancing away from Jason’s smoldering stare, I turned to find Marcos and Nico waiting expectantly. “Old school Brendan Fraiser? Plus, Sean Astin? Hell yeah, I’m there.”
“Let me guess, you’re a Lord of the Rings fan?” Nico smirked from across the room. “Samwise for the win?”
