Epilogue
Kat
Months Later
“FEEL LIKE CELEbrATING ?” Kobe said as he rushed to sit beside me on the bench just outside my dorm house.
I smiled and leaned into him. “I can’t believe we got an ‘A’ on this project.”
“Well, you certainly worked hard enough to rebuild Ginger.”
I reached for his hand. “ We worked hard enough,” I corrected.
“Yeah,” he said as he leaned back. “It’s been quite a ride. I didn’t think we’d get through it, but...” He looked at me. “I couldn’t have done it without you. You were amazing... getting everything done so efficiently.”
I blushed.
“Honestly, I think I learned more from you than I did from Mr. Singh.”
Laughing, I squeezed his hand again. “So... how do you propose we celebrate? Dinner at Ginger?”
“Actually, I was thinking of a few nights in Vegas.”
“Vegas? Wow. I... I don’t know what to say.”
“Say yes.”
“Are you sure you want to leave... I mean, with Axel being ill and all?”
He’d been terribly sick these past weeks, enough to have Kobe and Axel’s mom Taryn so concerned that she’d been staying at the house Kobe shared with Axel.
“Axel’s doing much better,” Kobe said. “In fact, with my mother staying in the guest room, he’s well taken care up, but I... Well, I think I miss having my privacy.”
“Oh,” I said with a knowing smile.
He patted my knee. “So, come on. Go get packed and we’ll go.”
“Now?”
“You have anything better to do?” he said with a playful grin.
I shot to my feet. “I’ll be ready in twenty minutes.”
Three hours later Kobe opened the door to a marvelous suite at the new Durango casino and hotel. The room was filled with beautiful roses... red, yellow and white.
“Kobe!” I said as I went to the vase of yellow roses. “They’re so beautiful.”
“Red, for the deep love I have for you. Yellow, for the eternal friendship we’ll always have. And white... purity and innocence...” He cocked his brow. “For now, anyways.
I laughed. “You really are so sweet.
“Not a sweet as you are, Kat.”
The valet set our suitcases down on the floor and Kobe gave him a generous tip.
The moment the door was closed, Kobe dropped to his knees and pulled out a small jeweler’s box.
My heart pounded.
“I can’t imagine spending a day without you in my life,” he said. “I want to marry you... today, tomorrow, next month. I don’t care when, so long as you say yes. I know we’ve talked about the future so often, that I dream about it. I want my future with you now, in the present, not when we’re old and wrinkly. I know we’re both so young, but we know what we want. We know what our futures hold, and I can’t wait to get started on it with you,” he said passionately.
He looked so nervous and dropped his shoulders in frustration. “These last few months with you as my girlfriend have been so wonderful, the best months I’ve ever had. I can’t imagine ever not having you in my life again. I just want you to be my wife.”
The ring was so gorgeous, and the light in his eyes so bright. I knew that I couldn’t wait any longer, too. I wanted him. And I didn’t want to repeat my mistake of falling for any man who just wanted a romp in the hay with me. It was just too risky. That experience with Trent taught me a lot, and as a Lee, especially the heir to the Lee empire, I had to be more careful and to be sure I was with a man who would cherish me for me.
I looked into Kobe’s beautiful blue eyes and knew there was no one more perfect for me than him.
“What are you doing later today?” I said with a grin.
His eyes lit up even more. “Is that a yes?”
I nodded.
He fumbled a bit to get the ring out of the box, then, with a slightly trembling hand, he slipped the ring on my finger. “Now, go take a look in that closet.”
Elated, I held my breath and walked to the closet to open the door. Inside was a beautiful white gown... a simple corseted bodice with a streamline silk skirt that trailed ever so slightly at the back. Crystals adorned the top edge of the bodice. I let out my breath. It was the dress I pictured to be married in.
“Do you like it?” Kobe said.
“I love it. I couldn’t have chosen a more suitable gown myself.”
He chuckled. “I’ve been watching you these past months. I’ve studied your style, what you like and what you never ever wear. I noticed the colors that appeal to you and how you avoid fluff and frills.”
“Oh, Kobe.” I turned to kiss him. “It’s perfect. So, perfect.”
“I already have the marriage license,” he said. “And I’ve reserved a lovely little chapel.”
I was beyond happy but stunned by the speed of it all.
“Take a long, warm bath,” he said. “I’ve arranged for a hair stylist to come do your hair in about an hour. Then you’ll slip into that gown, and we’ll be on our way.”
“I’m way too juiced up to take a bath,” I said. “But a shower would be nice.”
Kobe kissed me and said, “Whichever you prefer, my Princess.”
I kissed him back, “And you were so nervous proposing to me. You had this all planned. So sure of yourself, aren’t you?”
Kobe smiled. “I used to be unsure of myself, Kat, until you came into my life once again. I grew up because of you. I stepped up to become a man because of you. The only thing I’m sure of, is that I love you. I love you.” He kissed me. “I love you.”
AFTER LANDING AT THE airport in Las Vegas, a white limousine drove us to the Las Vegas suburbs and pulled up in front of a lovely chapel. White, with a tall steeple and delicate stained glass windows, I couldn’t believe Kobe had found it.
“This is the church of my dreams,” I said.
“I took everything into consideration,” he said. “I wanted nothing but the best for my queen.”
The chauffeur opened the door and Kobe stepped out to then offer me a hand as I, too, stepped out.
The wedding march began to play as we climbed the stairs and approached the church doors.
At the altar, the pastor stood waiting. But the surprise was Layla standing beside him. Wearing a beautiful pale pink chiffon gown and holding a bouquet of dark pink roses, she smiled lovingly at me. On the other side of the pastor stood Axel as well as Kobe’s younger brother, Caleb, both so handsome in their tuxedos. While Axel looked almost identical to Kobe, who looked like a younger version of their father, Errol King, who was still a hunk of a man; Caleb looked more like Taryn, who was stunning, with his dark blonde hair and subtle features.
Caleb was gorgeous like a Nordic Viking. Thick lips, greenish-blue eyes, high sharp cheekbones; and a tall muscular build; he was like a blonde version of his older brothers. The Kings were a handsome bunch. And if Axel proposes to Layla, she would be the sister-in-law I’ve always wished I had. Fingers crossed that these two would work out.
In the first pew, standing to watch us walk down the aisle, were my mother and father on one side and Taryn and Errol on the other.
Kobe solemnly walked me to the altar, and we exchanged our vows.
“Way to go, bro,” Axel let out as we were declared man and wife.
“Kiss the bride!” Caleb shouted.
Kobe gave me a passionate kiss that had the small gathering applauding our union.
As we walked out, our parents followed behind us.
“I guess that makes us partners,” I heard my father tell my new father-in-law.
“I guess you’re right. One big happy family.”
Behind them, I heard Taryn. “Just imagine what our grandchildren will be like.”
“Beautiful, talented and kind,” Mom said.
After a brief reception, Kobe addressed the small gathering.
“Thank you all for taking part in this very special day for both of us,” he said. “But if you all don’t mind, I would like to whisk my new bride away for a very special evening.”
They all raised their glasses and cheered as Kobe did whisk me away to our honeymoon suite as the Red Rock Casino, nearby the church.
We couldn’t get to our suite fast enough.
FINALLY, ALONE IN OUR suite, Kobe removed my lovely gown and laid me back on the bed.
“I can’t believe we are finally here,” he said as he looked at my nude body. “I can’t believe this night has finally come.”
In the past last months, we’d teased and tantalized each other with everything, coming close to the brink of penetration, but held off. It was torture waiting for the ultimate satisfaction, but we made a promise to each other to wait. Yes, to wait until we were completely promised to each other. To wait until we were married. It was our commitment to each other. Now we were ready, without worrying at all about any consequences. He kissed me as our hands explored one another’s body. Soon he had me too aroused. I could hardly stand it.
“Now, Kobe,” I pleaded. “Fuck me now before I lose my mind.”
“Anything you say, Mrs. King,” he said with a grin as he nudged his dick to my wet core. “Anything you say.”
He entered me, slowly and carefully. But after the initial break, he made love to me, just the way I’d always dreamed it would be.
“My queen,” he said as he kissed my ear. “Now you are mine... and only mine.”
“And you’re mine, too,” I said. “My king, Mr. Brutal, but Loving King.”
Kobe laughed and said, “If you think I was messed up, a brutal king, you should see my younger brother Caleb. He’s so bitter, he’s not even in the restaurant business.”
“Really?” I asked. “What is he into then?”
Kobe laughed, “Do you believe this? He’s into MMA fighting. He lives out here in Las Vegas and is a MMA fighter.”
“Wow,” I said. “His face is so pretty. How can he subject himself to risking it getting beaten up?”
“That’s the thing, Kat. Caleb is so good. So far, he’s won all of his fights so he haven’t had to worry about getting his handsome face busted. And you should see how he fight. Like he’s angry at the world. I don’t blame him.”
“Why?” I asked.
“Caleb grew up outside of the family. In fact, he was raised by a foster family in Vegas.”
“What?” I exclaimed.
“I didn’t tell you this before, but part of the reason why Axel and I are the way we are is because we had some trauma when we were really young. It happened right when Caleb was born. But that’s another story altogether. One that only Caleb can tell.”
“Oh, okay,” I said. “What family did I just married into?” I joked.
“An interesting one,” Kobe said, nudging his nose against my ear before lightly biting it. “And one where the males are hot and heavy for their women like I am now for you.” He covered my mouth with his before I can ask any more questions. His fingers reached down to his favorite area on my body and began working me up.
“I can never get tired of this,” I said.
“Tired? Not the reaction I was looking for,” Kobe said, he smiled and said, “I’ve brought some things to spice things up.”
He opened a bag and grinned. “I heard these tools can be used in the kitchen and the bedroom. I’d love to try them out on you.”
I looked and laughed. Chopsticks, spatulas, a silicone brush, olive oil. Whipped cream.
“What are you whipping up, Chef?” I asked.
“A lot of pleasure, babe,” Kobe said, slathering the oil all over my body and lingering his fingers over the tips of my nipples.
“Oh,” I moaned. “I like that.”
Kobe replaced his fingers with the silicone brush on my nipples then moved it to my core, brushing up and down has his fingers entered me. “Oh my God,” I moaned. “Kobe, fuck me now. Now!”
“As you wish, Mrs. King,” Kobe grinned, as he settled between my thighs. He was so large, so slick with the oil and hard as he slammed into me. “Like more?” He grunted riding hard into me.
“Yes,” I panted. “Yes, brutally more.”
“As you wish, Mrs. King,” Kobe grunted, thrusting harder and faster. He rammed into me with such abandon, and I took in every inch of him, savoring him and devouring him as much as I can. I was so hungry for him and joined him with each thrust until we both cried out our names.
Moments later, in each other’s arms, we gazed at each other. Kobe asked, “Is it everything you’ve dreamed of?”
“Almost,” I said.
“Almost?” Kobe asked, confused. “Well, I’m going to fix that right away.” He pushed me over to my front and lifted my rear up while he entered me from behind.
His thrusts made my breasts push against the bed’s padded wall splash while his hands gripped my hips. Soon we were climaxing before falling onto the bed.
“Almost there?” Kobe asked.
“Almost,” I grinned.
“Well, I’ll fix that, Mrs. King,” Kobe said, turning me to my side as he entered me and thrusted.
“Oh my God,” my eyes rolled backward.
Kobe laughed, “We’re not done yet.” He used the spatula to lightly spanked me before moving it to tickle my clit.
“Kobe, oh oh oh!” I exploded right as he did.
When we finally settled down, we were exhausted, but happy.
“I never thought it would be this good,” I happily smiled before closing my eyes.
“I did,” Kobe said. “I always did. That’s why I was so afraid to admit I love you. Now I know how stupid I was to try to keep you away. You are my Kat King, Babe, the ruler of my heart.”
“And you are mine,” I said. “The King of my fire. You ignite everything about me.”
“It was already in you,” Kobe said. “Always there.”
“We make quite a team, don’t we?” I said.
“Yes,” Kobe smiled, kissing me. “Kat and Kobe King. There’s a ring to it, isn’t there?”
“Yes,” I laughed. “It sounds perfect!”
