Chapter 7

EvanAnn

I tug at my skirt as I walk up the sidewalk to Mia’s house. Damon dropped me off so she can give me a ride to the party. We decided it would be a bad idea for me to show up with them.

Especially at Olivia’s house. She’s obsessed with Damon. My stomach twists. And, while we want to get under Chase’s skin, it’s too soon for me to be seen with other guys. He and I just broke up last night.

I texted Chase and told him while I was willing to talk, I’d meet him at the party.

The breeze tickles my skin as I reach Mia’s door and knock.

This skirt is shorter than my old uniform skirts and the crop top leaves my midriff bare.

The whole outfit barely covers me. I don’t know how comfortable I’ll be at the party, but the heat in the Devil’s trio’s gazes when they looked at me boosted my confidence. I just need to be careful how I sit.

I don’t mind flashing my panties at my guys, but I don’t need to be the talk of the school.

When Mia’s aunt answers the door and lets me in, she shows me to Mia’s bedroom. Mia’s told me she needs to decorate it still, but I’m surprised at how barren it is. A blank slate and completely lacking a personality, unlike the girl occupying it.

“I’m almost ready.” She leans close to the mirror, putting on her eyeliner. “Finishing touches.”

“Sorry I wasn’t able to get coffee with you earlier. I fell asleep.” I didn’t do much makeup. Just a little concealer to hide the darkness under my eyes.

She turns and her eyes widen as they take in my outfit. Her smile morphs into a grin. “Where have you been hiding, Miss Evan?”

My cheeks heat as I slide a hand down the black skirt. “Chase has been cheating on me, and he tried to leave me in the woods last night.”

“Fuck. So we’re after revenge then.” She purses her lips and nods. “I like it. But we’ll definitely need to work on your makeup and hair first.”

She turns and begins to pull stuff out of her makeup kit. “Sit and tell me all about it. I’m so sorry. He’s an asshole, and we hate him. Do you know who he’s been with?”

“Abby, his old girlfriend. Another girl at a different party, but I don’t know who. For all I know, he’s been through the whole school while we’ve been dating.” Anger chases through my words. I look down at my hands, because if I’m going to sell this, I need to be willing to take him back.

Damon wants me to get back with Chase, but that’s going to make me look like a fool. What will Mia think of me?

He’s been cheating this whole time. What would make me think he’s going to change now? Except I’m not going to let him back easily and I’m not really taking him back.

“What an asshole.” She tips my chin up and considers me for a moment. Her blue eyes roaming over my face. “I know just the thing that will get back at him.”

“Makeup?”

She chuckles. “Yes, looking fabulous will make him regret ever stepping out on you, but you should totally treat him with his own medicine.”

She begins to apply the makeup.

“His own medicine?”

“Find a guy and fuck his brains out. That will show Chase exactly how it feels.” Mia smirks. “I’d suggest cutting his balls off, but he is one of your leads for the play, so probably not the best timing.”

“I don’t know if I’m that kind of girl.” Though there’s a part of me that is. I’ve enjoyed what I’ve been doing with the Devil’s trio. Every minute of it just makes me want more. Frankly, the anticipation of what might happen after the party is more of an incentive than the actual party.

She tips my face to the side. “We’re all that kind of girl deep down.” She meets my eyes. “I know you’re sweet, or you wouldn’t put up with me. But I think you deserve better than some asshole who fucks anything that moves.”

Which is exactly why I wanted to break up with him last weekend when I found him cheating on me. Maybe I need to prepare Mia for me going back to Chase. “We did have fun together occasionally.”

Her lips flatten and she gives me a look that says really? I keep my expression hopeful.

“Close your eyes.” She works on my eyeliner. “I mean, it’s up to you if you want to take him back but make him work for it. Don’t give him an easy way to reclaim you. Let’s make him see he’s not the only one you could be with. Give you some leverage if you really want to forgive him.”

I open my eyes, and she checks her work.

“One more thing.” She turns and rummages in her makeup. She faces me twisting open a lipstick tube in red. “Don’t Stop red. Guaranteed to make men crawl after you.”

I shake my head and give her a wry smile. “Men don’t crawl after me.”

“They will tonight because you look hot.” Mia applies the color to my lips and sighs. “If I ever decide to go gay, I’d knock on your door first. You’re a fucking catch.”

I laugh, and some of the tightness that’s been crushing me all day loosens. I grab her hand. “Thank you for being my friend.”

When I stand, she turns me to look in the mirror. Between Damon’s outfit and Mia’s makeup, I hardly recognize myself.

Tonight I’m baiting my ex, but I’ll be going home with the Devil’s trio. Fear won’t hold me back anymore.

We ride up to Olivia’s house. Most people who got taken to the police station last night won’t be here. Fletcher is definitely in trouble with his parents. But there’s a lot of parents who don’t push hard on their kids, and a bunch of people scattered before the police could get them.

That means the party is still lit.

Damon, Hawk, and I walk in. This time I’m sticking with them. And Damon won’t put his hands anywhere on Olivia. Though someone will have to hold me back when Chase gets here. I’ve been wanting to pound that fucker since he ran Damon off the road. But what he did to Evan can’t stand.

Damon wants Evan to go back to the asshole and figure out why he wants her so much. She can make him grovel for it, which I’ll enjoy laughing about while I eat her pussy.

Olivia walks up to us as soon as we come through the door. “Hey, guys. Drinks are in the kitchen. If you’re going to vape or smoke pot, please go outside. Music is in the house. Pool is open for business. Damon?”

She closes the distance between the two of them and puts her hand on his chest. Her fingers trace over his muscles as she looks up at him through her lashes.

“We need to finish what we started last night.” She gives him a smile that says she’s all his for the taking. “I’ve made sure to make my bedroom off limits.”

“I’m here to hang with my boys tonight.” He takes her hand off him and drops it. “Maybe next weekend.”

She pouts, but we walk past her. There’s the usual crowd and a group of Anteros girls and guys off to the side. Chase doesn’t seem to be here yet, and neither is Evan. We find a few chairs in a corner and take our seats to enjoy the show.

Hawk goes to the kitchen and returns with some sodas. I half-hoped he’d at least bring one beer, but I get it. I can’t afford another ticket. Dad’s made it clear if anything else happens or my grades drop further, I’ll be on probation at home and have to drop hockey.

That’s not happening. Fortunately, hockey is good on my application for colleges or he would have taken it away already.

We watch the other students. The party is less chaotic than Fletcher’s was last night.

The girls next to us start whispering and pointing toward the door. I glance over, curious what’s got them in a tizzy.

Two blonds have walked in, both in short skirts and crop tops. Evan. Fuck. Mia must have done her hair and makeup because she was a smoke show earlier, but now she’s straight fire. And we’re not the only ones who’ve noticed.

“T-shirt and jeans next time. These fuckers shouldn’t get to see what’s mine.” It bursts out of me, knowing that all these other guys at the party are staring at Evan’s hot little body. I want to punch them all. And then turn her over my knee and make sure she knows that body is mine.

“Payback.” Damon tips his bottle up and drinks his soda, setting the empty bottle on the floor. He rises to his feet, but Hawk and I stay seated. “I’ve got this one.”

He stands, and we sit back to watch the sparks fly. He stops in front of Mia and Evan. It’s a calculated risk with Olivia. But she’s probably off pouting. They talk for maybe a minute before he smirks and heads to get more drinks.

Mia grabs Evan’s arm and shakes it, but Evan’s gaze falls on me. She has this tease of a smile on those red lips.

I lean into Hawk. “Think it’ll smear?”

“Fuck, I hope so.” He adjusts himself. Probably wondering what her lipstick will look like on his dick. I’m bound to find out what it will look like on mine.

I chuckle. “We’re going to have competition if we’re not careful. She’s not in a relationship right now.”

Mia leads Evan toward the area where a bunch of girls are dancing to the music. I chuckle as I watch her. Fuck, our girl can’t dance for shit, but she looks cute trying to dance like Mia.

When Damon hands me another soda, I scoff.

“You want me to have to piss all night?”

“Better than not being able to ride.” Hawk glances around to make sure no one’s paying attention to us. “You need to cool it with the drinking. Seriously, you were shit on the ice today.”

I blow out a breath. He’s not wrong, but he’s got the grades and the reputation my dad wishes I had. “I just needed to blow off some steam.”

“We have a girl you can blow off steam with.” Hawk tips his drink toward Evan.

Less than two weeks and we’ll be in pussy heaven. I still haven’t figured out how inexperienced our girl is. Someone has to have fucked her. Maybe it’s the trust issue or maybe she’s worried about performing. We’re a lot, but I’m willing to help teach her how to move.

Liam walks over to Mia and Evan on the dance floor. Mia bites her lip as she flirts with him. Evan hasn’t seemed to notice her dance partner isn’t paying attention anymore. When she finally does, she moves to stand with Mia.

Liam says something, and Evan laughs. My gut twists and I start to stand.

“Cool it.” Damon shakes his head. “Just watch the play happen.”

Chase walks in. His gaze finds Mia, and he heads toward her. His eyes nearly pop out of his head when he realizes Evan is the hot little thing next to Mia.

“Now?” I ask, aching to be let loose on this asshole.

“No.” Damon looks casual, but he’s on edge too.

He may think he’s ready for Evan to play with Chase, but she’s still the girl I had to give instructions to the first time she gave him head. I don’t know if she’s ready for this.
