Chapter 19 Brutus

brUTUS

It’s a side of her I saw more often. A softer side. One that didn’t chase me around with fucking pickle breath or make fun of the fact that sometimes my cargo pants ride up my ass crack.

Come to think of it, she really liked looking at my ass.

“What’s got you grinning?” she asked as she shoved another bag into Doc’s duffle bag.

I shot her a grin. “Just thinking.”

“About…?”

“You.”

Her cheeks blushed, and I had the urge to make her blush everywhere. My blood thrummed through my veins as I picked up another bag, helping her to pack the dozens and dozens of bags she had made.

“When are you passing these out again?” I asked as I handed her the last one.

She really had to play tetris in order to get it in. “I promised them I’d come back sometime tomorrow.”

“Could I come with you?”

Her head snapped up and there was genuine shock on her face. “You want to come with me?”

I nodded. “Is that a problem?”

She opened and closed her mouth a couple of times before she spoke. “No, not at all. I just…”

I smiled. “You just… don’t want me around?”

“No!” She shook her head softly, then paused. “I mean, yes! Yes, I do.”

“Well,” I said as I leaned a bit closer to her, “which is it, Anna-mine?”

The shiver that cascaded through her body held nothing on the way her tongue darted out to pull that lower lip between her teeth. She had such plump lips.

I wanted them wrapped around my dick.

“Don’t you have to watch the house?” she asked, her voice a bit choked off. “You know, protect the girls and all that?”

I reached out and tucked a rouge strand of hair behind her ear. “I can get someone to handle it. Unless, you really don’t want me coming and you just want to break my heart.”

“Never,” she whispered.

My gaze met hers. “Let me go with you tomorrow. Help you pass these out. I’d like to see you in action.”

She swallowed thickly. “I don’t know if we’d be able to get this massive bag on the back of a bike.”

I chuckled. “Anna-mine, you’ve just never seen my bike.”

The early morning brought with it colder temperatures. Finally, fall was upon us. The summer had been a fucking whirlwind, and one of the hotter ones on record for our area. I was glad to put the ass crack sweat behind me.

“Are you sure this is gonna fit?” Anna asked, worrying that impossibly beautiful lower lip of hers in between her teeth.

I chuckled. “Just watch.”

I had saddlebags on the back of my custom-made bike.

Most bike dealers told me that because of my size and weight, I was better off on a trike.

And I told them to fuck all the way off with all that nonsense.

When I was old and gray and ready to kick back with a beer gut and a woman still willing to suck off my dick over it, sure.

But I had a lot of life left in me, and I wanted my bike to show that.

I decked it out with storage and saddlebags to offset the heavier weight up front that protected me.

“I don’t know, Bee, maybe we should—”

“I’ve got it, Anna-mine,” I murmured as I shot her a soft smile.

Those cheeks of hers blushed again, and I had to go back to focusing on packing Doc’s duffle bag away.

It required me to drape it over the back of my bike with both of the saddlebags filled to the brim with its edges.

Then it was just a matter of wrapping the bungee cords around the midsection of the damned thing so that no wind could get beneath it.

“There,” I said as I stood back and admired my handiwork. “Ready for your part.”

“Oh boy,” she murmured.

Her and I had a deal, you see. I packed the bag on the back of my bike, and then she would do everything she could to get it to come loose.

She shoved it with her hand at first, and that brow of hers pinched together until there was a little wrinkle in between them.

My smile slid across my face like it did most times with her.

A phenomenon I came to enjoy. She tugged the bungee cords, and I heard the hum of amusement before that brow of hers unwrinkled.

“All right, let’s try this,” she said.

She lifted her fists and slammed them on top of the bag.

She leaned her weight against it, trying to get it to shift, but it barely budged.

I folded my arms across my chest, watching her hem and haw and huff and puff.

She shook the bag. She tugged at the cords.

She laid her body weight against the saddlebags to see if she could dislodge anything.

It wasn’t until I saw her forehead shimmering a bit in the rising morning sun that she finally gave in.

“All right,” she said with a bit of breathlessness to her voice, “you win. I can’t move it.”

I picked up my guest helmet and handed it to her. “Ready to get going?”

She smiled as she took it from me. “I’m always ready.”

“Good. Because I plan on taking you on more than just this bike ride.”

“Hell yeah.”

I planned on taking her on my bike as well.

But I kept that part to myself.

I swung my leg over my bike with ease, and it didn’t take long before I felt her warmth at my back.

Her tits pressed against me as her legs spread to accommodate me from behind, and the battering heat from between those luscious thighs of hers already had my pants growing tight.

I tried to push those thoughts from my head as I cranked up the engine, feeling the metal rumble beneath me.

I tried not to pay attention to the fact that King was outside on her front porch.

Standing there.

Glaring at us with his arms crossed and that Dozer guy at his side.

“Uh oh,” she muttered.

I peered over my shoulder in my helmet. “You okay?”

She giggled as she tried reaching her arms around me. But those short, stout little arms of hers only got so far.

“I don’t think I can hang on,” she said in between her little giggles.

I wanted to turn those giggles into moans. “Grab onto my shirt and squeeze your legs against me as tight as you possibly can.”

I looked down and watched her little hands ball up in my black shirt. Her thighs squeezed around me, and I swear to hell on high, this had to be what heaven felt like.

Wrapped up in her.

“I think this will work, just go slow,” she said.

For the first time ever, I heard a bit of nervousness in her voice. I reached down for one of her hands and patted it with my own, hoping to bring her a bit of peace.

“You’re safe with me. I’ll make sure we get there all right. You just give me the directions when I need them,” I said.

She leaned closer into my back. “Thanks.”

“No thanks needed. You’re always safe with me.”

I casted King one last look, and I swear it looked like he had a fucking pickled pig foot in his mouth. His lips were pursed. His glare, astoundingly sharp. Had I a care in the world about what he thought, I probably would’ve been intimidated by the look on his face.

I didn’t give a shit, though.

“All right,” I said as I kicked up my kickstand. “You ready?”

“Yes. Let’s get out of here. I’m tired of my brother staring at us.”

I chuckled. “You and me both. Hang on, Anna-mine.”

I pushed off and let my bike do the talking. She grabbed hold of my t-shirt for dear life as those legs clung to me like she was riding me bareback, like a fucking horse. I wanted to ask her if she’d ever ridden before. She had a lot of power in those legs.

Those legs that I wanted to toss over my shoulders.

The air whipped around us while we rode away from her home. With Ghost tasked to watch the house and the women until we got back, I felt more than okay leaving them behind. I had the most important one with me anyway.

She was safer at my side than away from me, that much was for certain.

For a little while, we just… cruised. The air whipped past us as she leaned against my back. The engine of my bike, rumbling our bodies and somehow shimmying us closer together. I waited for her to give me some sort of direction, but for a while, she stayed silent.

It made me wonder if she enjoyed the ride, too.

“All right, we should get going,” she said as her voice came alive in my ear via the Bluetooth connection of my helmets. Thank you fucking Ranger for that. “Take this left here.”

“Left, it is,” I said as I motioned with my hand after clicking on my turn signal.

We leaned with the bike and I felt her weight shifting with me. The warmth from between her legs had nothing on the warmth I felt rushing through my veins every time she gripped me tighter. At one point in time, I felt her little nails digging into the meat of my torso through my shirt.

I wanted her nails raking down my back.

“This right coming up after the stop sign,” she said.

I just nodded and turned on my signal accordingly before I felt her remove her hand from me.

I growled as I snatched it back. “You hold on. I signal.”

She giggled. “A bit demanding, are we?”

“Your safety will always be my demand.”

I took her directions and she followed mine like the good girl she was.

She didn’t remove her hands from my body, but she fed me the directions like a professional GPS.

She gave me plenty of time to prepare for my turns.

She didn’t surprise me with last-minute directions that caused us to cut through yards in order to get to where we were going.

It made me wonder how much she rode on the back of a bike.

Much too soon for my liking, the warehouse came into view.

There were shadows moving beyond the broken windows and eyeballs peering out from cracks in the front door.

The wind kicked up just as we brought ourselves to a stop.

Anna was off my bike and handing me my guest helmet within seconds before she had her hands in the air over her head.

“I come bearing gifts!” she called out.

And then, I watched the door crash open.

One by one, people of all genders, ages, and races poured out of the front door. They went from being hesitant and wary to being excited and delighted at the drop of a pin. I had just enough time to put my kickstand down while Anna wrangled the duffle bag off the back of my bike.

They crowded around her while she unzipped it.

“It’s all right! It’s okay, there’s enough for everyone,” she said.

I stood back, worried I’d intimidate them with my size. “Do you need help, Anna-mine?”

Everyone seemed to stop and stare at me when I spoke. I just clasped my hands behind my back, not moving toward them even an inch. I knew what I looked like. I knew the kind of reputation I held. I knew the kind of aura I gave off.

She just smiled at me, though. “No, I’ve got it, but thank you, Bee.”

I nodded and stayed out of her way while I watched.

She divvied out the bags and I watched people rip them open.

They fawned over the water bottles and the LifeStraws she put in there.

Over in the shade of one of the trees that was already beginning to twinge its leaves with red, someone already cracked open a water bottle to make some pudding.

I heard candy wrappers opening and people crunching.

I saw people trading MREs like they were familiar with their tastes and offerings.

She did this a lot.

It warmed my heart.

It seemed to be neverending, the amount of people that trickled out of the rusted out, abandoned warehouse.

For a moment, I thought we might not have enough bags for them.

I looked over at Anna, wondering if she was worried about the same thing.

But I only saw a smile on her face while she hugged and talked with the people she clearly helped on a much more regular basis than she initially told me.

They even addressed her by her first name.

My God, that woman was something else.

Watching her hug everyone and talk to them like they were normal fucking people spread a warmth through my veins that was dangerous to ignore.

I saw her crouch down to speak to a young boy that was much too young to be living his life on the streets.

She licked her finger and smudged it across his cheek, wiping something off while they spoke in hushed tones.

And then, the little boy threw his arms around her neck.

I had to look up and away.

The knot in my throat grew.

“You okay?” she asked.

I wasn’t sure how long I stared at the sky, but when I leveled my head back out, everyone rushed to get back inside of the warehouse. I looked over at the duffle bag and it was completely empty.

I turned my attention back to her. “You’re amazing, you know that?”

Her lips parted in shock as those chubby little cheeks of hers twinged with yet another blush. “Well, um… thank you.”

I shook my head. “No thanks needed for the truth.”

We stared at one another for a little while before she broke eye contact. She looked around, but I couldn’t take my eyes off her.

“All right, I think that’s everyone,” she said as her attention came back to me. “Ready to get back?”

“No.”

She blinked. “Oh?”

I reached for the guest helmet and handed it to her. “I want to show you something before we head back.”

She took the helmet from me. “What do you want to show me?”

“A favorite spot of mine that borders your brother’s territory.”

She crooked an eyebrow before shoving the helmet down onto her head. “You sure it’s not that overlook? Because I hate to break it to you, but that’s Kay’s—”

“It’s not an overlook. It’s a surprise.”

She flipped the visor up, and those beautiful sky blue eyes gazed back at me. “I do like surprises.”

“No pickles invited, though,” I said as I reached for my helmet.

She pouted. “Hmph. You’re no fun.”

I slung my leg over my bike and patted the seat behind me. “Come on, we’re burning daylight, and I promised Ghost I’d be back by lunch to relieve him.”

“Well,” she said as she climbed onto the back of my bike, “we better not keep him waiting.”

And as she shimmied down close to me, squeezing those thick thighs of hers on either side of me, I felt my cock stirring back to life. We wouldn’t keep anyone waiting. Not even me.

I was ready for what was mine.

“Hang on,” I said as I cranked up my bike.

We pushed off, allowing the warehouse to fall behind us while I recalibrated where we were headed.

I couldn’t wait to show her the wildflower meadow.
