Chapter 22

Drew

I tap my leg where it's crossed over my other leg, watching the scrawny, stinky little man pace anxiously back and forth, sweat beading on his forehead.

I’m pretty sure I’m taller than him, which says a lot considering I’m only five foot five.

I would try to run because I am bored out of mind but I’ve seen two men standing outside.

Not only is it three against one, so not a fair fight, but I am pregnant and need to think of the baby, I have faith in Bellamy.

By now, one of the parents would have explained how I was a no-show, so he should be here soon, well, at least I hope he will be because damn, I am hungry and did I mention bored?

Should I be scared? Probably, but I’m not because I know my boyfriend. He’s about to scorch the earth to find me, and as much as he doesn’t think so, he has a leader inside him wanting to come out.

“Fucker, we need to try and find better transportation. Several bikes have just roared into town, both the Dark Angels and the Carnage!” a guy shouts as he bangs on the door, fear etching in his voice and I roll my eyes.

The scrawny guy gasps in shock as he looks at the door sharply. “She’s not even that important, she’s just a nomad's fucking woman!” he snaps, and I chuckle, I can’t help it, and he scowls my way and snaps, “Shut it bitch!”

I raise a brow and ask, “Do you know who that nomad is?”

He narrows his beady eyes, his pupils that dilated I can’t even tell the color of his eyes, and he sneers, “I don’t, and I don’t care,” and I try not to gag at his black teeth.

Seriously, did the guy not hear of a thing called a toothbrush?

“You should care,” I say, and the guy who banged on the door opens it slightly and says, “Shut her the fuck up,” just as I say, “Cage, that is the nomad’s woman you’ve just taken.”

The guy at the door stands straight and clears his throat before saying, “The only Cage I know did a few stints in prison, the same wing as me. He liked to fuck Loz the prison officer while snorting coke from her chest. There is no way he’s the nomad, he handed in his cut.”

I smirk, despite hearing that description of my boyfriend and slowly stand, causing the scrawny guy to take a step towards me.

I ignore him and slowly lift my tee, before pulling my leotard to the side near my hip, showing my boyfriend’s legal name, and the guy at the door freezes and his face pales.

“He never lets anyone call him his legal name except his baby sister who was killed,” he chokes.

“Except his woman. You three have just taken the man who is supposed to take over as the President of the Carnage MC’s woman,” I say with a slight smile, then I goad, “You really should run, and I’d run fast. As soon as you saw so many bikes show up, you should have known I wasn’t just anyone’s girl. ”

“Shut up bitch!” the scrawny guy snaps before he backhands me, and I swear.

What is it with men backhanding me?

“What the fuck, you idiot?” the guy at the door shouts as the other guy stares wide-eyed, “I’ve seen Cage dig a guy's fucking eye out with a homemade fucking knife!”

I scrunch my nose up because eww, while the scrawny one’s face reddens.

“She’s not the future president’s old fucking lady, she’s lying!” he shouts back, and I smirk.

“Am I not?” I goad as I see the man himself sprinting towards the motel room through the window and I smile wide and I state, “You really should have run,” gaining all three of their attentions before they turn to see where I’m looking.

The scrawny guy’s jeans get wet, and I slowly step away from him because again eww. The guy at the door trembles, “Cage, my man, long time no see,” before a shot rings out, and my mouth drops open as the body falls to the floor.

The other guy goes to grab his piece, fumbling with his belt, but a guy with a large scar across his face knocks him out with the butt of his gun, and Cage fills the doorway, looking extremely terrifying.

“Is now the time to tell you I’m also thirteen weeks pregnant?” I say to the scrawny guy as I look his way, and his face pales dangerously, before his eyes roll to the back of his head and he passes out. His body lands with a loud thump on the floor.

Uh…

I blink then blink again as a guy who sounds like Bell’s dad says, “Did he really just pass out at the look of my son?”

“Yeah, he did,” another guy grunts with confusion before a toilet flushing echoes, and I frown because I really didn’t know anyone else was here.

“Scrawny, whatever shit she’s saying is just that shit,” a guy doing his belt up says and I blink again.

He was in there this whole time?

What was he even doing?

Wait, I don’t think I want to know…

The man with a goatee looks up when his friend doesn’t reply and sees me. His eyes go to I guess Scrawny because hey, who knew that was his name, before he eyes all the brothers and he swallows hard.

“Well, well, well, Micky, Can’s brother,” another guy chuckles, and I just raise a brow as he says, “How stupid is your brother, the leader of your fucked up pathetic group, to send you four after the future president’s pregnant girl without telling you that is who she is?”

The guy, Micky, looks at me sharply, and I give him a finger salute before I gently press the shirt I stole from my boyfriend down, showing the slight bump, and he groans, dropping his head back.

“Crusher!” Bellmay snaps, and I look his way to see his eyes on me. I smile widely at him, even though I am still made at him. I’ve missed him and he just shakes his head as his brother storms over to Micky, who doesn’t put up a fight, seeing he’s outnumbered.

“Little bird,” Bell says tensely, and I grin and say, “Hey, darling, what took you so long?” giving him sass, knowing he needs me to distract him and show him I’m not hurt before he explodes.

All the brothers laugh, some shocked by my reaction, and he shakes his head before he mutters, “Brat,” as he storms over to me and I walk into his body, meeting him halfway.

“I’m still mad at you,” I mutter as I grip the back of his cut and lay my head on his chest.

He hums and asks, “Because I left again this morning without waking you?”

“Hmm,” I agree, “that and you haven’t touched me in a week and momma has needs, Bellamy, like, I need you at least four times tonight kind of needs.”

His chest rumbles against my ear as he chuckles before I hear, “Fuck, she instantly calms him and when was the last time we’ve heard him laugh?”

“Fuck you scared me, baby,” he whispers against my head, and I sigh as I tighten my arms around his waist.

“I’m okay, though you are late,” I say, “I thought you’d be here at least forty minutes ago and I’m starved.”

“Fucking brat,” he mutters against my head, and I chuckle slightly as he pulls back, then wraps his arm around me before we face his brothers, who all look at us, mouths gaping.

“Hi,” I say with a slight wave, and some guy says, “I like her,” and I shake my head.

“I hear that a lot,” I mutter, and everyone laughs while Bellamy cups my cheek and locks eyes with me.

“Fancy drinks and a juicy burger at the bar with my brothers?” he asks, “Or are you tired?”

“Fuck, he called us brothers, that’s a good sign right?” I hear another guy grunt, but my boyfriend ignores him and keeps his focus on me.

I smile and say, “A few drinks to hear about your childhood while I stuff my face before a big old nap with you sounds good to me.”

Bellamy groans while the brothers laugh. He gently guides me towards the door while some men tie up the three guys who are alive.

“I thought I said I didn’t want you shooting anyone in front of me,” I say as we pass the guy that was shot, who is now covered by a sheet thankfully.

“I didn’t shoot him,” Bell instantly denies, “Blade did.”

I narrow my eyes at Blade, who instantly puts his hand up in innocence and reminds Bell, “Brother, she breaks fucking dicks!”

Bellamy laughs, shocking his brothers but he ignores their reaction, tightens his arm around my waist, and leads me down the street toward the bar. Most of the group follows, with only a few hanging back.

I notice Mom cry out in the distance when she sees me unharmed while Dad glares at me, making me pause in my step, causing everyone else to stop behind us.

“Dad knows I didn’t get kidnapped on purpose, right? I mean, it was apparently four against one, so I couldn’t exactly try to run…” I say, eyeing my dad with caution.

“Dad let slip about the baby,” Bellamy admits as he gently rubs my stomach, which makes me melt because he hasn’t done it in a week before what he said registers.

“Oh crap,” I mutter before I ask, “Do you think you can let those guys take me again?”

Bellamy rolls his eyes while the brothers laugh, and Dad calls, “Drew Mary Taylor, get your ass here now!”

“Double crap, he middle-named me,” I whisper, and Bell’s body shakes with silent laughter, and I shove him, making him stumble, and his brothers laugh louder.

Assholes, the lot of them.

“Daddy, I was kidnapped. Can we do this later?” I try as we get close, and Bell’s laughter escapes as Dad raises a brow and reminds me, “We both know Cage would have found you, so don’t try that with me, you weren’t scared.”

I wince before I sigh and admit, “Okay, no, I wasn’t scared, if anything I was bored and hungry,” and he hums but his face softens when I confess, “I wasn’t ready to tell you and Mom because I was still trying to get my head around the fact I’m having a baby way before I’m ready.”

He nods and opens his arms for me, and I smile and go willingly, placing my head against his chest, but I flinch at the soreness of my cheek, causing him to tense and pull back.

He cups my cheek and tilts my head slightly before narrowing his eyes, and he grunts, “Which fucker backhanded you, sweetheart?”

“She was backhanded?” Bellamy demands as he takes me from my dad, making me gasp at the sudden movement, before he, too, inspects my cheek.

“Scrawny,” I admit, knowing he’s again borderline, and Bellamy snaps, “Trick!”

The man walks over and twists me towards him, and I state, “You all are going to make me vomit in a minute! Morning sickness isn’t just in the morning, you know!”

“Sorry, doll,” Trick says, and he inspects my cheek while Fury asks, “Do you need Medic?”

“Nah, she’s all good thankfully, but I am worried about how she was knocked out,” Trick replies, then looks at me and asks, “Can you remember a needle going into you?”

Wait, how do they know I was knocked out?

I shake my head and say, “He put a cloth over my mouth that stunk like a swimming pool.”

He nods and mutters, “Chloroform, so you should be alright and the baby.”

I give him a smile before going on my tiptoes, and I kiss his cheek, making him smile. I walk back into my boyfriend's arms, and I sigh, “Shall we go get a drink and food, lots of food, before I take a nap and by nap I mean you and me in bed, then contact all the parents?”

“Your mom has already smoothed it over with the parents, and yes, baby, we can go get a drink and some food before I spend the afternoon in bed with you,” Bell whispers against my head, and I lean into him and allow him to guide me towards the bar.

I hear everyone follow, and close my eyes, trusting Bell to not let me trip. I melt into him with a smile, and one thought hits me before I get to know his family.

I’m going to marry this man.
