Chapter 5 Ryder #2

Felix must have said something when they’d spoken at the party, and Ryder remembered the heat in his eyes before he’d kissed him.

Felix was interested, but something had held him back.

Ryder would take his time with Felix, and not because of Mason’s stupid bet.

That was just for fun. It was the perfect time of year for a bit of wooing, and Felix was the only person who’d gotten him hard recently.

That was worth exploring, wasn’t it? Felix had been spooked before, so Ryder needed to be patient.

Not his forte, but he had a feeling it would be worth the wait.

If he could also avoid being cougar bait and give Mason and Zeb a push in the right direction, he was here for it.

“Deal!”

Waiting to be called by his doctor, Ryder thought about the wager he’d made with Mason.

There was no way he was doing the charity auction.

He was determined to win, but he didn’t feel comfortable using Felix like that.

Ryder wanted to get to know him more, but the last thing he was going to do was string him along.

Taking him as a date to one of his best friends’ New Year’s party was making a statement.

The one thing Ryder had always been was straight with people, whether they were men or women.

They could have a great night, and he was even down for a repeat if the sex was good, but he didn’t do commitment.

“Ryder.”

He looked up at Dr. Evans. If he wasn’t his doctor, and married, and straight, Ryder would have gone there.

He was in his forties and had the whole silver fox look down to a tee.

Ryder had been with him for many years. He was a big ally, which meant his friends all came here as well.

There was never any judgement when you spoke to him, something all doctors should emulate, but sadly, that wasn’t reality.

Ryder stood up and shook the doctor’s hand before following him into his consultation room.

Dr. Evans wasn’t cheap, and the decoration, which resembled a grand study you’d find in an English stately home, showed it.

In fact, Ryder was certain he’d seen a similar chair in Sebastian and Charlie’s London home.

“What can I do for you, Ryder?” asked the doctor, snapping him out of his thoughts.

“My dick’s broken!”

Ryder wasn’t sure why he’d just blurted it out like that. Dr. Evans raised an eyebrow and tried to suppress a smirk.

“It’s not funny, doc. I can’t get hard. I haven’t cum for three weeks. This is not something I ever have a problem with.”

“I’m sure you don’t. Why don’t you tell me when it first happened?”

“I was having this three-way. A guy and a girl. Hot couple. And she was licking—”

“You don’t need to be that detailed, Ryder,” he said with a smile. “The first time you noticed is when you were engaged in sexual activity. What about masturbation?”

“Nothing. I don’t even get morning wood anymore, and if I do, as soon as I play with it, it deflates.”

“Have you been having any trouble urinating?”

“No.”

“No excessive urinating, feeling like the bladder isn’t empty, taking time to get going . . . Nothing like that?”

“No.”

“And how are you feeling at the moment? Any stress?”

“You mean other than not being able to get hard?”

“Yes. Any stress before this happened?”

“No. Everything’s fine.”

“Do you still have your therapist?”

“I haven’t seen him for over a year. Haven’t needed to.”

He asked Ryder more questions about his diet, exercise, and habits. Nothing had changed on that side. His body was his business, so he needed to take good care of it all the time. The doctor was tapping his pen, deep in thought. He wasn’t someone who gave a quick diagnosis to get you out the door.

“Okay, Ryder. Let’s do a quick examination of your prostate.”

“My prostate? I’m not old, doc.”

“I agree, but we need to rule things out, and erectile dysfunction can have links to an enlarged prostate.”

“Did you just say my dick is dysfunctional?”

The doctor laughed and gestured to the bed.

Not that he hadn’t had a prostate exam before, or that he was precious about the doctor putting a finger up his ass—Ryder was a total top, but wasn’t against a bit of ass play—however, hearing the doctor snap on latex gloves and pull out an industrial size bottle of lube with a pump, there was nothing remotely sexy about what was about to happen.

Ryder took his trousers and underwear off and got onto his side, pulling his knees up.

If the Ryder in college could imagine an older straight guy like this fingering him, he would have popped a boner.

In college he’d walked around with a permanent hard-on and had a thing for older men.

His fellow students were too inexperienced, and didn’t know what to do with his cock, but older men and women were always up for anything.

Once the doctor had done his reach around, Ryder got dressed.

“I couldn’t feel anything to be concerned about, but I’ll order some bloodwork anyway to rule everything out. I think it might be psychological. You should make an appointment with your therapist.”

“It can’t be psychological. I got hard with one guy.”

“You didn’t say that before. Who is this man?”

“I only just met him, and before you ask, no, we haven’t fucked.”

“That’s not how I would have worded the question.”

Ryder snorted.

“Are you seeing this man again?”

“I’d like to.”

“I think in this case, the lack of anything on the prostate exam and the fact you’re a fit and healthy young man, it could be a mental block. The blood tests will hopefully confirm there’s nothing physiological.”

“What about Viagra?”

“I can write you a prescription.”

“Let’s park that for now, doc. I’m not there yet.”

Ryder waited for him to provide the blood form, and he went back to reception to arrange it.

They could do it straight away, which was helpful, so he wouldn’t need to wait around or come back later.

Ten minutes later, he was getting into the back of a cab and heading home when he got a notification confirming a delivery was on its way.

He smiled and put his phone away. It would take him twenty minutes to get home, so he closed his eyes and imagined a cute redhead, his skin all flushed as Ryder devoured him.

His cock twitched, and Ryder wondered if it was trying to tell him something.
