Candy Canes and Hockey Sticks

Lucy, a foul-mouthed carpenter from upstate New York, has hated hockey since a tragic family event on the ice scarred her for life as a teen. Creating custom dining pieces and devouring pizza with her nephew is all the life she needs, much to the chagrin of her mother and sister.

Sasha “The Sarge” Dimitrovic, the best enforcer in the NHL, lives for hockey. But as retirement looms closer, he wants something more than nights with the boys, sleeping in hotel rooms and the sharp cold of ice.

When the two meet by chance on the most famous ice rink in the world sparks fly. But, when a health scare and invasion of privacy leads Lucy to the realization that being in the limelight isn’t the life she wants, the pressure of fame threatens to rip them apart. The lovers must find their way back to each other, preferably before the playoffs.
