Olivia

A man singing terribly has never made me so wet, like I am right now. Although, I think Josh could sneeze on me, and I’d get wet. Okay, that’s so gross. Nevermind.

Anyway, my point here is, I need to get Josh as horny as I am right now, and I have the perfect song. The one and only, Tears by Sabrina Carpenter.

I lock my gaze on Josh when I start singing. How people haven’t realized that there’s something going on between us is beyond me. We practically undress each other with our eyes, any chance we get.

I dance as sexily as I can while I’m singing.

Looks like all that sexy dancing I’ve been doing with Sasha my whole adult life has paid off.

I walk off the stage wanting nothing more than to go straight to Josh, but that’ll look a little too obvious, so I start with Knight.

I’m not so much grinding on him, but I’m making it sexy enough that I have everyone’s attention.

I move around a few of the hockey players, the ones without a partner at home, because eww, giving them the same treatment that I just gave Knight. Not too much to seem slutty, but enough that it won’t draw as much attention when I move on to Josh.

Crossing the room to where Conor stands, I grip his hair, tugging tightly, making a point of aiming my words at him as I sing ‘A little respect for women can get you very, very far.’ I don’t actually think he took the lyrics seriously because he’s giving me the ‘sex eyes’ look. Idiot.

This is the part of the song that I love, and I make my way over to Josh, rounding him, my fingers trailing around his exposed neck.

Embracing my inner stripper, I rub my ass against his front while he grabs my hips, pulling me flush against him.

Oh, yeah, my plan worked perfectly. Hopefully, everyone will just think this is some harmless fun…

I end the song back up on stage, bowing for everyone when they clap and shout for me.

I knew I could sing well; I just don’t like going around telling people that I can, which is why Josh was so surprised.

The only people who know I can sing are Sasha and Max, and that’s only because we frequented a lot of karaoke bars.

They’re just so much more fun than regular bars.

“You’re a fucking goddess, you know that?” Josh tells me as I take the drink from his outstretched hand. I just rubbed my ass all over his dick in a room full of people without a second thought, but his words have me blushing? Make it make sense!

“I think it’s safe to say that I definitely won the bet.” I tease him, smugness in my tone.

“It’s not fair. You had the advantage of having sex appeal in a room full of guys. You basically cheated.” He huffs, and I can't help but laugh at his pouty lips.

“Baby, be prepared to have my face tattooed on your ass.”

“Aww, fuck.” Josh hangs his head, and I feel so fucking giddy.

I get to pick any tattoo I want for this guy.

Get to pick where to put it on his body, and he has no say at all.

I’m practically bouncing with excitement.

“Hey, you wanna go upstairs or would you rather feel up some more of my friends first?” He asks with a smirk on his lips, and I howl with laughter, snorting embarrassingly.

“I have no regrets,” I say between breaths. “Seriously, I had to do whatever it took to win that bet. Knowing you, you would have given me a tattoo inside my thigh saying ‘Josh was here’.” He has the cheek to look sheepish. “Oh, my God! You were going to do that, weren't you?”

“Not exactly… Something more like ‘Property of Josh Woods’.”

I playfully smack his arm, “You’re insufferable.”

“You love it.” No denying that.

“You go up now, I’m gonna go talk to Sash, and I’ll follow you up soon.”

With that, Josh heads towards the door, and I go looking for my best friend.

The place is packed with people that I didn’t even notice had come in.

The air is hot and sticky with people dancing and drinking.

I’ve never been to a sex club before, but I get the vibe that this is what it would feel like.

The karaoke machine has been abandoned, music playing through the speakers.

I’ve been moving around the room for a few minutes before spotting Sasha in the middle of the dance floor, dancing with some guy I’ve never seen before. I go to her, grabbing her arm to get her attention.

“Hey, baby girl!” She slurs, trying to dance with me, but I stand my ground.

“Sash, what the hell are you doing?”

“What do you mean? I’m having fun.” She says, as if I’m stupid.

“You're drunk, Sash. I think you should go home.”

She pulls her arm out from my grasp, her face flushing from anger. “Don’t tell me what to do.”

“I’m not telling you what to do.” I sigh, she’s not normally difficult to talk to when she’s been drinking, but she’s been in a shitty mood lately, and she won’t tell me what’s going on.

“I’m just trying to look out for you. I'm worried about you, and I don’t think the answer to whatever is wrong is drinking and dancing with men you don’t know. ”

“I’m fine, Olivia. Jesus, just lighten up, for once.

” She turns away, grinding on the mystery man.

We’ve known each other for over fifteen years, and not once has she turned on me.

Whatever she’s got going on is really huge, and I’m hurt that she won’t share that with me.

I’ve thought about reaching out to Max, but I have a feeling in my gut that he’s the reason why.

Whenever she decides to tell me, I’ll be here for her, no matter what.

I touch her arm lightly, gaining her attention again. “Look, I’m gonna go spend time with Josh for a little bit. I’ll come back soon, and we can go home, okay?”

“Whatever.” She rolls her eyes. “No, you know what? Don’t come back. I’m having fun. I’ll go home when I want to, and I don't need your help with that.” She says, snidely.

“What is this all about?” I ask.

“God, all you fucking do is talk about Josh. Josh this. Josh that.” She’s attracting attention, raising her voice, and I need her to shut up.

“Sash, keep it down.” I plead with her, glancing around. She laughs in disbelief.

“He’s all you care about. I’m done with it.” Where the hell is this coming from? It’s so out of the blue and out of character for her. I’m holding back the tears burning in my eyes. “Just go, Olivia.”

I sigh, “Fine. But text me when you get home. Please.” She doesn't respond. Just turns around and starts dancing again.

On my way to the door, I bump into Conor. He grabs me by the arms to steady me before I fall onto my ass.

“Wow, Olliepop. You good?” He asks, concern in his voice when he takes in my teary eyes.

“I’m fine.” I reply, wiping a stray tear off my cheek. “Can you just keep an eye on Sasha, please?”

“Yeah, of course. Is everything okay?”

“I don't think so. Can you just make sure she gets home okay?” He nods. “And make sure she doesn't drink anymore.”

“You got it, Olliepop.”

I thank him and leave, just ready to curl up in bed with Josh at my side. When I turn the corner towards the elevator, I mentally curse the Gods for this shit show of a night that this has turned into, when I see Ryan leaning against the wall. Just my fucking luck.

He spots me, pushes off the wall, and walks in my direction. “Not now, Ryan.”

“I just have one question to ask, Liv.”

I let out an exasperated sigh. “What?” I snap at him.

“Why are you and Josh sneaking around?”

I eye him cautiously, “What do you mean?”

“Well, I was watching you two. You didn’t touch each other, didn't kiss or hold hands. He left the party five minutes ago and now you come out, presumably following him.” It sounds like a question, but it’s not.

I scoff, “We’re not sneaking around. I just don’t like PDA.” Lie. “And, I just had to talk to Sash first. That’s all there is to it.” He doesn't believe me. The way he looks at me tells me so.

“Okay, so if I go ask Conor about you two, he’ll know?” He’s calling my bluff. He won’t actually go and ask Conor. I don't think so, anyway.

“Of course, he will. Why would we even need to hide?” Ryan doesn't know I work for the team, and there’s no reason for him to find out.

He just thinks I’m friends with all the hockey guys because I’m with Josh.

He doesn’t need to know any different. “Look, I can’t deal with an interrogation right now. I have to go.”

Surprisingly, he doesn’t follow me. I just hope I convinced him enough that he doesn't go digging for information. If he finds out, he’ll use it against me.

That's the kind of person he is. He’s done this plenty of times before, using shit against me to get what he wants.

He’s ruined so many things in my life, and I am done with it.

He’s not gonna ruin this thing between me and Josh.
