Chapter 18 Josie

JOSIE

“You can’t tell me there isn’t anything here, Josie.”

“You’re right. I can’t.”

“Wait, you mean it?”

“I do.”

“Holy fucking shit. I’ve wanted to hear you say that for far too long.” Killian pressed his lips into mine again.

“Do we have to stay here much longer?” I asked the moment we parted again.

“Our CEO makes an announcement every year.”

I groaned. “I understand.” I bit my lip in frustration.

“Oh, trust me, Josie. The moment I can take you home, I am.”

“I’m counting the minutes.”

“You keep talking like this, and I’m going to find an empty room with a lock on the door.”

“Do you think anyone will miss us right now?”

I wasn’t sure where the fire was coming from. I’d never been so forward in my entire life with anything, especially sex. But something about Killian had me practically begging.

Without another word, Killian grabbed my hand and led me towards a hallway. After trying three different door handles, he found one that opened.

It was dark inside, but Killian seemed to know where he was. I heard the lock click on the door, then his hands were on my hips, lifting me up and slightly backwards until my ass landed on a desk or counter.

“Fuck, Josie.” Killian began trailing kisses along my jaw, neck, and collarbone.

“What? Tell me what you want, Killian.”

“You. All of you. You saying my name. You craving me as much as I’m craving you.”

“And what if I told you I feel the same way?”

“You’re saying dangerous things, Josie. Things you can’t take back.”

“I don’t want to take them back.”

“I hope not. Because I can’t go back either. I can’t pretend I’m not dreaming of you every night. Not anymore. If we do this, I need you to know this isn’t just a fling. This is something that I know I’m going to need over and over. I’m going to need you more than just tonight.”

His words ricocheted through me, and while I thought it would terrify me, it didn’t. It filled every inch of my body with heat, desire, and happiness. True, unbridled happiness.

Killian ran his hand under the slit of my dress, starting at my knee, and continued up my thigh.

I threw my head back and moaned.

“Tell me what you want, Baby.” Killian growled as he trailed his tongue up my neck. His thumb was pressed hard on my inner thigh, teasing me.

“Touch me.” I blurted.

“Gladly.” Killian swiftly slipped his hand under my panties. “Shit, you’re wet.”

“Only for you.” I grabbed his face and pulled his lips to mine. I kissed him with desperation.

Then I gasped the moment his finger slipped inside of me.

“Killian!” I cried out.

“Fuck, yes. Say my name. Say it like I’m the only one who will ever make you feel like this again.”

He worked his finger in perfect motion, paying attention to the way my body responded. It was no surprise to me when I felt the most incredible orgasm taking over my body.

He stilled his finger as I trembled around him. I was breathing heavy, attempting to come back down to earth despite wanting so much more.

“Fuck, Killian. How long have you been hiding that talent?” I attempted to tease.

“Be careful. You might make my ego too large.”

I was about to compliment him more when we heard feedback through a speaker.

“Fuck.” Killian muttered.

“Let me guess. It’s time for the CEO’s speech now?”

“Yep.”

“And I somehow have to go out there and act normal.”

“At least you don’t have to hide an erection.” Killian helped me back on my feet, and as I stood, I leaned into him. And I felt exactly what he meant.

“Shit, I’m so sorry.”

“Don’t worry about it.” Killian attempted to adjust himself. “Just stay in front of me.”

We made our way back to the main room. Everyone’s eyes were already on the CEO. Well, everyone but Tiffany’s. She was gawking at us with her arms crossed.

“Someone is pissed.” I quipped as I leaned my head back, slipped a hand around Killian’s neck, and pulled his lips to mine.

“Let her be.” He kissed me back. “Also, it’s not helping having you pressing against me.”

“Do you want me to move?”

“Fuck no.”

I barely heard a word of the CEO’s speech. I was too busy counting the minutes and focusing on the way Killian’s arms held me.

I was on cloud nine, and no one could bring me down. Not Tiffany. Not Brian. No one.

The moment everyone started clapping, I was already planning our exit.

“You two aren’t thinking of leaving now, are you? You wouldn’t dare miss the dancing. You know that’s our CEO’s favorite part.” Brian’s voice came from behind us, shocking me.

I spun around and peered over Killian’s shoulder. “Brian, jealousy is fucking ugly on you.”

“Jealous?” he huffed. “I can’t believe I even fucking liked you.”

Killian’s arms tightened, but I held tighter. “Let’s go show them what they’ll never have.” I held on to Killian’s attention and carefully led us backward towards where most of the guests were dancing.

As we got closer, I saw a brand new Santa hat sitting on a table and grabbed it.

“What are you doing with that?” Killian was suspicious of me, as he should be.

“Shh, just wear it.”

He groaned as I put it on him.

“For me?” I pleaded.

“Well, when you say it like that.” He leaned down and kissed me as I finished adjusting it. “Anything for you, Josie Summers.”

We danced through two songs before I couldn’t handle it anymore.

“Take me to your house, Killian.”

“Our house, Baby. Because you’re not leaving now.”
