Chapter 35

JACE

SIX WEEKS LATER

“ A re you sure you're okay?” I check as she bounces on top of me. I thought it would be impossible for her stomach to stretch any bigger, but she’s proved me wrong as it bulges out in front of me.

“Stop asking me that, I’m fine.” She takes my hands and places them on her belly, tipping back her head and taking pleasure from the way I cradle it firmly.

“Babe, I really think you should go a little steadier.” I try to take some control of the pace, but my girl knows what she needs and she’s hell-bent on gettin’ it. She may only be one day off her due date, but she’s still wanting it hard and rough.

“Jace, just fuck me.” She takes one of her tits in her palm, squeezing it tight and when white droplets leak from her nipple, onto her belly, she smiles at me as she scoops it up with her finger and slips it between my lips.

“You're so ready to have this baby for me,” I tell her, holding that big, beautiful bump between my hands as I fuck my cock deep inside her.

“So ready,” she agrees, blowing a strand of hair out of her face. These past few weeks have been tough on her, sleeping’s been practically impossible and she’s reached the stage where she needs help with even the simplest of tasks.

I fuckin’ love it.

“Your cock feels so deep,” she tells me, resting her palms on my chest and pushing herself down on me. “It feels like it could break my waters.” The thought of that makes me forget to treat her carefully, and I thrust my hips up to meet hers. “Fuck, Jace, keep fucking me like that.” Her voice trembles.

I take the weight of her stomach so she can slam against me harder, and watching her come apart while her body looks so ripe and fertile, almost sends me over the edge myself.

“Marry me,” I whisper, as she continues to slide her tight, soaked pussy up and down my shaft.

“Jace, I already said?—”

“Marry me, tomorrow.”

She freezes and looks down at me in shock, all while her pussy grips me in its fuckin’ vice.

“Jace, that’s?—”

“We got the license, why wait?”

“Because I’m about to have a baby, anytime now.” She gestures her hands to her belly as if I need a reminder.

“Just hold out for one more day, and marry me.” I smile up at her, realizing that I can’t go any longer without this woman being my wife.

“You want me to marry you on our baby's due date?” She makes me sound crazy as she laughs that adorable laugh

“That's exactly what I want.”

“Even while I look like this?” She strokes a hand over that huge, sexy stomach that she’s grown for me.

“ Because you look like this,” I tell her. “I want to marry you while you're glowing, and looking more cute and beautiful than ever.” I lean up on my elbows so I can kiss her.

“We can’t just pull off a wedding in less than a day. And you know I’d want my parents here.” She almost looks as if she’s coming round to the idea.

“Your parents came back from their trip last week, they could be here by tomorrow,” I point out.

“And what about a dress? I don’t have a wedding dress.” She keeps on putting up these hurdles for me to jump.

“You got that pretty cream sundress with the little flowers on, that has me wanting to lift it every time I see you in it.” I stare deep into her pretty, blue eyes. “Whatever the obstacle is I’ll fix it, just marry me before this baby gets here.” I look up at her and actually beg.

“Okay.” She smiles as she slides herself off my cock and lies sideways on the mattress beside me, “But if it’s the pregnant look you're going for, you better finish me off, gently.” She looks over her shoulder at me seductively, and I slide up behind her and carefully raise her leg so I can gain access.

“Your pussy feels so good, Baby Momma,” I tell her, slipping into her entrance “It’s got so fuckin’ soft.”

“That's because, any day now, I’m going to push your baby out.” She rears up against me and rolls her hips.

“You make it sound so fuckin’ hot.” I press kisses all over her neck and hear her breath hitch. “You're gonna look so pretty when you're pushing for me.” My hand slides over her stretched-tight skin. “You just have to hold out a little while longer. I want those doctors and nurses, and the hospital, calling you Mrs Sullivan.” Hearing the way she moans and seeing the smile on her face gives away how much she likes that idea.

“Come for me, Princess. Come all over this hard cock that knocked you up,” I tell her, knowing that I won’t be able to hold off for much longer. Not with her desperate snatch milking at my cock and her perfect body backing up against me.

“I’m coming.” She reaches around my head and grips my hair, exposing one of her taut, pink nipples and I can’t resist leaning down and sucking at it. “Fuck, that feels good,” she groans as her pussy gets slicker, and pulses harder.

“Good girl, good fuckin’ girl.” I release her nipple and growl those words I know she loves to hear.

“Fuck, baby.” I grip her thigh as I hold myself as deep as I can get, and fill her pussy with more of my seed. “Thank you.” I kiss her shoulder and grip her tight as I catch my breath.

“For what?” she asks.

“For fuckin’ everything.”

“A wedding, in less than twenty-four hours?” Kendra looks at me and Mads as if we’re crazy.

“That's right. Now, my girl here ain’t doing no lifting or stretching but she is gonna ensure that this barn looks wedding-ready. I’m gonna give you four of my men and the pair of you are gonna instruct them on what you want, and where you want it.” I give her very clear instruction, knowing that Maddison will have to be involved in the decorating, somehow.

“Who am I getting?” Kendra asks.

“Does it matter?” I swipe back, already knowing she’s got Tyler and Kyle tripping over their spurs for her. There’s only one way two men goin’ after the same girl can go…and that's south.

“Of course, it matters. We need someone with class and creativity,” Kendra informs me.

“Well, good luck finding that around here.” Taylor pushes herself off the beam where she’s been resting. “What's my job?” She looks keen to help.

“You, you’re on invitations. I want the whole town here to see me marry my girl.” I look down to wear Maddison’s sitting and she smiles up at me dreamily when I take her hand. “Now, I'm figuring your best bet is to head into the diner and just tell Jean everything that's going on. Leave her to do the rest.” Taylor salutes me as she heads off toward her car.

“Baby Momma, I’m gonna have to leave you to keep everyone in line.” I crouch down to the hay bale she’s resting on. “Don’t over-exert yourself, or I will have Grayson tie you down. I want that baby right where he is when I get back.”

“Get back from where?” She suddenly looks alarmed.

“From Denver.”

“Denver?” Her eyes double in size. “Jace, that's a four-hour drive, what if I go into la–”

“Relax, I messaged Eli and he’s gonna let me use his chopper.” Kendra makes an inappropriate giggle that I choose to ignore.

“Wait, Eli has a chopper?” Maddison checks, sending her friend into hysterics again.

“He’s got more money than sense, that’s what he’s got. But also got his pilot’s license last week and a way to get me there and back fast.” I shrug as I prepare to leave.

“Wait, how you're going to get there isn’t important. Why the hell are you going in the first place?” She looks so pretty and confused.

“Because…” I crouch down to her one more time, “...I know how much having your parents here means to you, which means I’m gonna ensure that they are.” She flutters her lashes as her eyes start to fill with tears. “And what if they won’t?” She looks scared.

“Then I’ll just have to drag ‘em here.” I kiss her forehead and head to my truck before she can argue.

Up until I met Maddison MacKenzie, I didn’t know what nervous felt like. Life takes on a whole new meaning when it’s not just you that you have to worry about. I’ve never cared much about what other people think of me but standing on the front door of Roger and Mary MacKenzie’s mansion, I care a whole fuckin’ lot and I’m real fuckin’ nervous.

“You must be Jace?” The middle-aged woman, whose hair is scraped up into a bun, smiles at me warmly as she lets me inside.

“Stella?” I check, knowing that Maddison keeps in regular contact with her old housemaid. She would have called ahead to warn her that I was on my way.

“I take it the MacKenzies are expecting me?” I take off my hat and pull down the cuffs of my shirt. I shoulda changed it but I figured the sooner I got here, the sooner I could get back. Any time spent away from my girl right now is a risk, but this is a message that needs to be delivered in person.

“No, I thought I’d leave it as a surprise.” She smirks at me, as she guides me through the house toward Roger’s office. “Mrs MacKenzie is upstairs, I’ll head up and tell her she has a visitor.” She leaves me in front of the door and I take a long inhale before I knock.

“Come in.” His voice sounds harsh and irritable but I don’t let it put me off. I’m here to get my girl what she needs and nothing is going to prevent me from getting it.

“Mr MacKenzie.” I step inside and watch his face fall when he sees me. “I’m sorry to intrude on you like this, unannounced, but I’d very much like to talk to ya.” His eyes turn to slits as he watches me step closer and rest my hat on his desk. He doesn’t offer me a seat, just stares right through me.

“Well, let's hear it.” He crosses his arms impatiently and when the door behind me bursts open, I brace myself when I hear Mary’s heels clipping against the wood floor.

“What is he doing here? I told you he was not?—”

“I’d prefer it if you could address me like I’m in the room, ma’am.” The outrage on her face is almost comical when I cut her off.

“Now, I’ll make this quick for us all. I know that what ya see here in front of ya ain’t what you wanted for your daughter but I’ve still come here today to stand in front of you both and ask, like a man, if I can get your blessing to marry her.” I look between them and wait for a response.

“And what if I said no?” her father tests me.

“Well, then I’m gonna head on home and marry her, anyway.”

I’ll admit, I’m surprised by the smile he makes and I guess Mary is too judging by the daggers she gives him.

“Roger, did you hear what he just said?”

“Yes, Mary, I heard him.” He stands up and rounds his desk so he can step toward me.

“Do you love her?” he asks, standing in front of me and holding my eyes with his.

“More than I ever thought possible,” I answer his question without hesitation.

“Roger…Roger?” Mary whines

“Oh, will you shut up?” He shocks the hell out of me when he turns to look at his wife. “You can’t control her, Mary. Look what happened when you tried that before.” I watch her back down and realize how disappointed they both look in themselves.

“This man is the man she’s chosen, and I’m trusting my daughter's judgment.” He holds out his hand to me, and I shake it firmly before we both look toward Maddison’s mother.

“Tomorrow’s her due date, I bet she could really use her mom, right now.” I smile at her, taking my phone from my pocket and bringing up the photo I took of her standing out on the porch a few days ago. I smile to myself proudly as I show it to her. “See how beautiful she looks? She’s doing so well.”

“She looks… happy .” Her mom sounds surprised as her eyes fill with tears and she stares at the picture of her daughter.

“She does, and I can assure ya both that my intention will always be to keep it that way. Don’t miss out on this, not because of me. You don’t have to like me Mrs MacKenzie but be there for her.” I let her hear how desperate I am.

“Okay,” she whispers, taking another look at the picture before she hands my phone back to me.

“Good because the wedding’s tomorrow and she needs you both there.” I slide it back into my pocket as her mouth drops open.

“Tomorrow? But we have no time to prepare, didn’t you say her due date was tomorrow?”

“It is, which is why we need to hurry things along. I gotta head back. I got the mayor waiting in his chopper to take me home. I’ll see ya at the ranch, wedding starts at one.” I rush for the door.

“The mayor?” Mary looks stunned. “Mr Sullivan,” she calls after me before I make it out. “Are you always so…persuasive?” she asks, trying to find a kind way to put it.

“I do my best, ma’am.” I tip the front of my hat at her. “And you should call me Jace. We’re family now.” I wink as I rush back out to the cab that’s waiting outside. I need to get back to the hangar where Eli is waiting so he can fly me back to my girl.
