Chapter Fifteen

"I have a handwriting analysis expert checking them out. Now, he's pretty backed up so it might take a couple of weeks until he gets back to us. What are you going to do until then?"

"You have to ask?" Ryan inquired. "I'm going to find Ajana Bennett and bring her back here." He wouldn't let her get away with tricking him a second time.

"Are you sure you can win this battle with her? Miss Bennett is sexy and crafty. That's a dangerous combination," Sergeant Carelli pointed out.

"Don't worry, that little she devil won't get away from me a second time," he promised, thinking of a way to track down the woman he stole his heart on Halloween night.

Caught 2: Ajana Return

[S1]Needs man after compassionate

[S2]Why is this italicized? It doesn’t really need to be. I’d probably italicize still.

[S3]Don’t need a hyphen here

[S4]I can’t see him not trying to disarm his kidnapper first chance he got. Also he would be wearing his gun, why doesn’t she disarm him?

[S5]It’s a lot more than a few more years and the feds would be involve. Kidnapping is a federal offence. He wouldn’t have a say in reducing sentence for the kidnapping

[S6]Evidence wouldn’t be in his car unless he’d just collected it. Chain of custody would be in question once they got to court and it would be thrown out.

[S7]Consistency, he just said he could get one hand out a few paragraphs earlier.

[S8]Okay, a file isn’t evidence. Evidence is fingerprints, hair, blood, that sort of thing.

[S9]This sounds like something a con man would say, all I’ve ever heard police call anyone was either suspect or perp unless they were talking about an informer or a witness.

[S10]I can’t see a detective turning his back on her, he’d also most likely be holding her at gunpoint while he called for a car to pick her up. When he disarmed her he would have arrested her and given her her rights.

[S11]She’s a suspect in several robberies, and she just kidnapped him, he’s not going to just walk into another room and leaver her to run around his house or leave or whatever

[S12]If she’s showing him copies of police reports why wouldn’t they hold up in court? The problem here is there’s no real way she would be able to get those reports or witness statements.

[S13]She’s been watching him and been in his house earlier and she doesn’t know this already?

[S14]Again an undercover cop would be watching all the time to make sure he wasn’t being followe, it’s how they stay alive.

[S15]Um, yeah, suddenly she’s questioning him helping her? Doesn’t make sense

[S16]Now she thinks of this?

[S17]This phrasing doesn’t make much sense, come onto Dad would read better

[S18]This really should go with the sentence before it

[S19]Thought it was the bathroom window?
