Chapter 20 Only for You
When I got home,
Sheng Yi was lying on the sofa, the smell of alcohol all over him.
Had he gone out drinking?
I walked over and nudged him. “Sheng Yi? Sheng Yi?”
“Mmm?”
He opened his eyes groggily and looked at me.
His gaze carried something heavy and soft.
“Jiang Si… I missed you so much…”
He grabbed my hand with drunken eyes, tears glistening in his smiling gaze.
“Alcohol is great. The dream feels so real—even has touch.”
I hesitated, then brushed a light kiss against the corner of his mouth.
Sheng Yi froze for several seconds.
His eyes flickered between clarity and haze.
He blinked rapidly, expression shifting from drowsy confusion to wide-eyed shock.
After several minutes, he suddenly sat up.
“I’m… not dreaming?”
I nodded and hooked my pinky around his.
“Sheng Yi, I know I was wrong. Can we make up? Please?”
He slapped his own face hard, then pulled me into his arms.
Hot kisses trailed from my ear all the way down my neck.
Half an hour later,
Sheng Yi was sweating, frantic.
“How is this possible? If I’d known, I—I wouldn’t have drunk anything… Why does alcohol make it not work?”
I pressed my lips together to hide a smile at how anxious he looked.
Following Jiang Yue’s advice, I put my hair up.
With my hair tied up, I took the lead, kissing him eagerly.
Sheng Yi: “?”
More than an hour later,
I was almost traumatized.
Just thinking about it scared me.
I clutched the blanket and refused to show my face.
“Big liar! You said it was sweet!”
Sheng Yi held me close and coaxed gently, “Then weren’t you the one who tricked me into drinking yogurt?”
“I didn’t trick you!” I puffed my cheeks.
He laughed helplessly and stroked my head. “Okay, okay, I won’t trick you next time. Hungry?”
I touched my sore little belly and nodded quietly.
I really was hungry.
This really took a lot of energy.
Sheng Yi scooped me up horizontally. “Then… shall I take you for dinner?”
“What are we eating?”
His gaze slid over my slightly swollen lips, deep and dark.
“Sugar.”
“What kind of sugar?”
“Sugar Tangerine.”
What?!
Put me down right now.
I struggled hard.
No Sugar Tangerine. I never want Sugar Tangerine again in my life.
Sheng Yi touched his chin, thinking for a moment.
“Then… how about I make you Braised Pork?”
That works!
Except more than an hour later,
I was completely limp on the bed.
I never want Braised Pork again.
Who even asks if I’m hot enough first?
And it wasn’t red—it was pink, okay.
The meat was definitely full.
A little too full.
I glared at the satisfied man beside me and thumped his chest.
“No wonder you kept saying you were waiting for me. You were waiting for this, weren’t you?”
Sheng Yi gave a triumphant villain smile.
He kissed the corner of my eye gently.
“Don’t worry. From then on, I’ll only cook for you… and only let you eat.”
