Chapter 12
Chapter Twelve
Julian
I grabbed the half-empty bottle of wine, a new bottle, and our glasses and took them to the patio. I couldn’t wait to see her in her bikini and knew I had to be careful because my cock would misbehave.
I jumped into the pool and turned around when I heard the sliding door open. My eyes nearly popped out of my head when I saw her standing there in her ocean blue bikini that enveloped her delicious and sexy body. You’d never know she had three kids.
“Nice bikini.” I grinned as she stepped into the pool.
“Oh my gosh. It’s so warm.”
“It’s heated.”
She grabbed her glass and watched as I did a couple of laps.
“Laurel?” I heard Parker’s voice.
Glancing over, I saw Parker on his patio.
“Hi, Parker.” She waved.
“What is going on here?” He walked over with his hands tucked tightly in his pants pockets .
“We’re going over Georgina’s case,” I said, shooting him a look to return to his house.
“In the pool?” His brow arched.
“Who cares where we discuss it. Don’t you have closing arguments to prepare for tomorrow?” I asked him.
“Yeah. I do.” His eye narrowed at me. “Enjoy the rest of your evening, Laurel.”
“You too, Parker.” She smiled.
I swam to the edge of the pool and grabbed my wine.
“I have a meeting tomorrow morning with a new client,” Laurel said.
“Oh yeah?”
“Parker gave it to me. Apparently, the clients wanted a female lawyer because of the nature of the case.”
“What’s the case?”
“They are in the middle of adopting a baby that was abandoned at a fire station, and now the birth mother wants the baby back.”
“How long has it been since the mother abandoned the child?” I asked.
“Almost a year.”
“Shit. That’s going to be tough because California always sides with the birth mother.”
“Not this time.” She smiled.
“I love your confidence.” I winked.
We finished off our wine.
“It sure is a beautiful night,” she said, looking up at the stars.
“It is. So is the view.” A smirk crossed my lips.
“Don’t do that.” She held up her finger.
“I only speak the truth, Laurel.” I stared into her beautiful eyes.
“You invited me over to discuss the case. So far, that hasn’t happened. ”
“Then let’s discuss it.” I climbed out of the pool, grabbed the other bottle of wine, and refilled our glasses. “So far, the only defense we have is her shattered ankle and inability to wear heels,” I said, sitting in the lounge chair.
“That’s not a good defense, Julian.”
“I know that. Hence, the reason we need to find something else.”
“Someone in Derek’s friend circle had to know he was cheating. Guys like to boast about that to their friends.”
“I don’t think that’s true,” I said.
“Sure it is. Tell me about one guy you know that hasn’t cheated and boasted about it.”
She was right.
“Okay. You have a point. We’ll get a list of Derek’s friends and start interviewing them,” I said.
“This wine is amazing. Where did you get it?” she asked as she finished her glass.
"Isn’t it wonderful?" I grinned. "I discovered it in Italy a few years back. There's this lovely elderly couple who own an orchard, produce the wine, and sell it at an outdoor market. It's exclusive to Italy, so I occasionally have a few bottles shipped here."
“It’s nice that you support their small business,” she said, holding her glass.
Grabbing the wine, I poured some into her glass. “What can I say? I’m a nice guy. Come on.” I grabbed her hand and helped her from her seat, leading her down the steps to the beach.
“If you’re such a nice guy, why are you single?” she asked as we reached the shoreline.
“It’s what I choose,” I replied, staring at the water illuminated by the moon’s light.
“So, are you a commitment phobe? ”
“I guess you can say that. What about you? Have you dated anyone since Jason passed away?”
“I went on a couple of dates with this guy in San Francisco, but he was boring. Wow.” She stumbled, and I gripped her arm.
“Are you okay?” I asked.
“That wine is really starting to hit me.”
“I’m feeling it, too. I think we drank too much.” I smirked, swooping down and picking her up.
“What the hell do you think you’re doing?” Her arms wrapped around my neck.
“Carrying you back to the house so you don’t fall.”
“Put me down right now, Julian Hamilton.”
I opened the sliding door and set her down in the kitchen. I’d forgotten how potent that wine was.
“I can’t drive home. I should call an Uber,” she said.
“Or you could just stay here tonight.”
“Yeah. I don’t think so, mister.” She jammed her finger into my chest.
“I have three guestrooms with very comfortable beds. Take your pick.”
“No. It’s not a good idea.” She went to turn and stumbled. Wrapping my arm around her to keep her from falling, I pulled her into me.
“I really think you should lie down,” I said.
“Shh,” she whispered in my ear as my grip around her tightened. “You smell good. A mix of chlorine and musk.”
I chuckled softly, feeling the tension in my shoulders ease as I loosened my grip on her waist. Her wide and intense eyes locked onto mine, holding me captive in their gaze. Suddenly, without hesitation, she leaned forward, and her lips collided with mine in a passionate kiss that caught me completely off guard. My cock instantly rose to the occasion .
“We both had too much to drink. We should stop,” I spoke breathlessly.
“We should, but we don’t have to.” Our lips tangled.
I picked her up and carried her to the bedroom. Laying her on the bed, I hovered over her and ran my hand down her torso until I reached the edge of her bikini bottoms. Sliding them off her hips, my fingers explored her, feeling the delicious wetness that already emerged. Soft moans erupted from her as I caressed her clit before dipping my fingers inside. The feeling of her soft, plump lips pressing against my own was electrifying, like a jolt of energy coursing through my body. A loud moan came from her as she orgasmed, coating my fingers with her pleasure. I brought my hand up and untied her bikini top, pulling it off her and tossing it over the side of the bed. Her breasts were perfectly round, natural, and the perfect size. Lowering my mouth, I wrapped my lips around her rosy, hardened peaks that demanded attention. Sucking and gently nipping before moving down her torso and tasting the excitement that came from her. My mouth explored every beautiful inch of her soft skin while satisfying sounds erupted from her lips. I had never been this turned on before and felt like I could come without even being inside her.
“Fuck me, Julian,” she whispered, grasping the comforter.
“I will. But I need to be sure this is what you want first.”
“Yes! I do want this.”
That was all I needed to hear. Reaching over, I opened my nightstand drawer, pulled out a condom, and slipped it over my throbbing hard cock. Placing it between her legs, I slowly thrust inside her. Gasps escaped us, and a thousand lightning bolts soared throughout my body. She orgasmed, causing the spasming of my cock to go into overdrive and explode. Grunting, I strain to push out every last drop of the most satisfying orgasm I’d ever had. Dropping my body onto hers, her arms tightened around me as we waited for our heart rates to calm.
I softly kissed her lips before pulling out of her and disposing of the condom. When I returned from the bathroom, Laurel was passed out. Climbing into bed, I stared at the sleeping beauty beside me. What had I done? I had a feeling tomorrow morning was going to be a complete shitshow.
