Chapter 33 Awakening
“Aylin, she has to wake up soon, we have been traveling for 2 days. She hasn’t stirred at all,” I hear Archer speaking.
“I know, I know, but what can we do? You looked over her, Archer and she has nothing wrong with her. I think when she used her magic, like last time, it took too much out of her,” Aylin answers.
“And not just her magic, Archer but a witch’s magic! I don’t even know how she would even know that spell. I have never heard it cast let alone the fact we thought witches were extinct until recently. She is so powerful and she is just beginning to learn. I am envious of her power,
I should have been able to protect her Archer.”
He sighs. Jurgen joins the conversation, “Aylin you are being too hard on yourself. She is the predicted saviour, the one who will bring harmony to all people. Did you think she would be frail, and in need of saving? She is to weave the voices of the nations and for this encounter,
on the way to the witches no less, she was able to wield their magic. I don't think this is odd, I think it is destined. She is going to be the most powerful lycan to ever exist, Aylin. You are going to have to put your pride aside and let her shine, and let her rule with you being by her side.”
“When did you become so passionate about the prophecy Jurgen?” Aylin asks. “Last I heard you thought you would never see this day happen and that Celest was just a myth to keep people's hopes up.”
“Aylin, did you see her? She was literally glowing and she shot her essence into the forest and maybe even further. She is the most beautiful person on the inside and out that I have ever seen. The ground she walks on heals, and new life forms all around her.
I know I haven't said anything but my wife, Sasseli, and I have been trying to have a child for many years, as you know, and she met with Celest for just one hour. They held hands and prayed and my wife now, after 10 years, 10 years Alyin, is pregnant.
She told me that when they prayed Celest closed her eyes and started to glow a light purple. Sesseli told me she watched the glow travel through Celest and into her arms and then down into her womb. Aylin, she is our saviour. I will stand by her until I can no longer fight for her. Plus,
she is building the elderly home and childcare center, places that will bring work to our town and a place for the elders to live peacefully and the children to be watched without worry. I am indebted to her.” Jurgen answered.
I slowly opened my eyes and saw all three men with their arms around each other.
“How long have I been out?” I say and all three of them turn around with relieved smiles on their faces.
“Two days babe, and we just stopped for the night. We are one day behind because of the ambush. We needed to heal and decide whether to keep moving forward or go back. We thought you wouldn't want to return without seeing the witches to hear them out,
so we prayed for you to heal and just kept moving forward. We thought that if you still weren’t awake upon reaching Endora that maybe the witches or warlocks could help.”
“I don't need to hear them out, Aylin, they protected us. The only reason we made it out alive was because Olly came to me and gave me that magic. The right of Harmony is now part of me. I am one of their people, and I want to heal them. I will heal them.” I say to him breathing heavily.
“I know Celest, we are going there. Tomorrow we will make it to the lake and travel to the marked island. I just have no idea how we are going to help.”
“I don’t know what I am doing either Aylin, but I know in my heart I will cure them. For now though, I am hungry and tired.”
The men look at each other and laugh, “We know you’re hungry, your stomach has been growling louder than a wolf.”Jurgen said, and we all laughed together.
For dinner the men made fresh caught fish, rice and carrots.
I ate like a pig and the men kept laughing at me as I grabbed more, I didn’t care, it was delicious and we have alot.
After three helpings my stomach was finally sated.
I cleaned the dishes, packed everything back into the wagon, I grabbed a blanket and walked into the clearing beside our camp.
Through our link I told Aylin where I would be so he wouldn't worry.
I laid the blanket onto the grass and laid on it as I stared into the night sky.
The galaxy was luminous, and there were two purple and blue bands of light arcing and twisting across a dark night sky, packed with a dense concentration of distant stars.
I close my eyes for a second and hear “Hello Celest,” I open my eyes and watch as the night sky fades and the Moon Goddess appears to me formed by millions of stars.
I stare up at her, “Please speak with me Celest,” She says.
“Hello, mother,” I was able to answer, to my surprise. She has never let me speak with her before.
“Hello, my daughter.”
“Did you see what happened? I was so scared mom.” I say as tears roll down my cheeks.
“I saw you Celest, you did amazing! You followed your heart and listened to your people even when you were scared” “Not the battle, my life!”
I am crying and yelling softly. “Every day I was treated horribly, mom. You didn’t save me. I prayed everyday that someone or something would save me. I heard you singing to me when I was little and then you were just gone. I prayed for you to come back, I needed you, I needed my mother!
You have come to me almost every day since I was free, but you never let me talk. I have scars and fears that I shouldn't have to have. Why didn’t you save me?”
“Oh baby, I tried to save you so many times. But I am not a physical being anymore. My spirit lies up here in the skies. My destiny was also written and now I get to pick and choose who will be life mates and help people along their destined paths.
I sang to you every night because that is all that would come through our link. I sent many people to try and save you, but the Alpha and Luna of the Bloodmoon pack found out and executed many of them. They even tried to execute Agnes, and she was a pure vessel.
She is a part of Hera which is why they failed. She helped you escape and for that I am grateful! I’m so sorry you were treated in such a horrible way, but I believe that it will make you stronger as you get older, your life will be long but you will have eternal life once you take my place.
You are a Queen. Your people are counting on you, my beautiful girl.”
“I want to be strong, mother, I want to protect my people. How will I know what to do? No one is here to guide me. Please, don’t shut me out again. I need to be able to call on you.”
“Remember who you are meant to be, the savior to all. I will be here for you. There is only so much I can do, but I will be here when you call on me,” The Goddess reaches down and touches my forehead.
“I love you Celest, stay brave, and know I am always here with you.” She then fades back into the sky.
I lay there in the grass alone, thinking of everything I have been through, and knowing nothing of what is to come.
I am brave, smart, and strong. I will need to be the voice for my people and bring them all together.
The task is daunting and I am nervous but I will take on any challenge, and lead my peoples to harmony.
“We can do this Celest, we have already accomplished so much, and you have been training. Don’t let the fear of the unknown win.”
Capella speaks through our link. “You’re right Capella. We can do thins, just like before. Everything has been a new experience but we have made it. I love you Capella.”
I say to her and she purrs again in my mind.
I decide that I should go back, so I roll up my blanket and load it back into the wagon.
Aylin is still sitting by the fire and looks at me once I return.
“Are you ready for tomorrow?" He asks. “We will be meeting new people, and hopefully getting some answers.”
“I am ready. I trust Olly and I am hopeful that whatever lies ahead of us we will take on together.” I tell him as I lay my head on his shoulder.
“Let’s go to bed, Luna” Aylin scoops me up and carries me into our tent, where we make love and fall asleep in each other's arms.
