Chapter 10 TONI ROC #2

I felt every word vibrate through me. He was locked in, grippin’ me tighter. My legs was shakin’, the sheets twistin’ up in my fists, and I couldn’t hold nothin’ back. His strokes got meaner, and faster, his growls hittin’ my ear, as his pace turned savage.

I could feel it buildin’ like a wave that had been waitin’ to crash. When it hit, it tore through me, and I let out a cry I didn’t even recognize. He held me through it, talkin’ me through every shake and breath while he kept movin’ inside me.

“That’s it, baby. Take all this shit. Don’t run from it.”

I was barely breathin’ when his thrusts turned short and deep, and then I felt him nut, his whole body tense as he came. Both of us was tremblin’ like we’d been pulled through a storm.

For a minute, neither of us said a word. He stayed inside me, our bodies still locked together. Then he pulled his dick out, lettin’ out a low hiss through his teeth like the shit stung.

“Damn,” he muttered with a tired grin, running his hand over my ass, “you got my shit raw right now.”

The sound of his voice made me smile against the pillow even though I was barely awake. He eased down beside me, pulled me close until my back was against his chest, and kissed the side of my face.

“I love you, baby,” he said softly, his lips brushin’ my cheek again before he tucked me tighter in his arms.

“I love you more, baby. You so good to me.”

I’m always gon’ be good to you. You good to me too, for real.”

Before I could even process anything else, sleep hit me hard. I didn’t fight it. I just melted right there in his arms, ‘cause he’d fucked me so good it put me straight to bed.

And the crazy shit was, it was early in the afternoon. We had just woke up before we started fuckin’.

When I woke up, it was late in the evenin’.

Kay’Lo had took my ass all up and through there this mornin’ and the way he was laid out right now, you would’ve thought somebody unplugged him.

He was flat on his back with one arm thrown over his head and his mouth halfway open like he ain’t have a care in the world.

The sheet was barely coverin’ him, and I just sat there for a second lookin’ at him.

His skin was all tatted up, dark and smooth.

I sat on the edge of the bed and stretched, pullin’ my hair up in a bun while my eyes kept goin’ back to Kay’Lo.

He looked so peaceful and that made me not wanna move, but my stomach was growlin’, and I knew I needed to get up.

I slid off the bed and grabbed one of his shirts and a pair of his sweatpants.

As soon as I stepped into the hallway, I heard Prestyn’s lil’ butt cryin’. Then I heard Zurie’s lil’ voice too, and that’s when I realized it was comin’ from the kitchen area. I shook my head, mumblin’ under my breath, “Lord, Pluto in there losin’ it.”

Me and her ain’t ever been friends. Back in the mansion when we was competin’ for Pressure, she thought she was too good for everybody, and I wasn’t the type to kiss no ass, so we just didn’t mix.

I was always cool with Kashmere back then, and everybody know how that went.

But after what she did to Pressure, I couldn’t even defend her.

She went too far, and I told Kay’Lo the same thing.

I loved Kash, but I was done, and if they ever found her, they was probably gone beat her ass into another lifetime.

Finally, I walked into the kitchen and saw a damn mess.

Pluto was there tryna rock Prestyn on one hip while cuttin’ up fruit for Zurie with her free hand.

The baby was red-faced and hollerin’ like he was tellin’ on somebody.

Zurie was standin’ on a stool, rubbin’ her eyes, and whining for somethin’ to eat.

“Girl,” I said, shakin’ my head. “You look like you fightin’ for your life right now.”

Pluto looked up quick with surprise flashin’ across her face. “I got it,” she said, her tone short like she always got somethin’ to prove.

“Clearly you don’t,” I said, walkin’ closer. “Give me the baby.”

She shook her head. “I said I got it, Toni.”

I crossed my arms and leaned against the counter. “Pluto, stop bein’ stubborn. You about to drop him and that knife at the same time. Gimme the baby so you can breathe.”

She looked tired, like real-life tired. For weeks, we been passin’ each other like strangers, actin’ like we don’t share the same family now, but I was done with that. Kay’Lo and Pressure are cousins. We were all connected whether she liked it or not.

After a few seconds, she sighed, her voice low. “Fine. Here.” She handed me Prestyn, and I took him easy, slidin’ one hand under his head. His cries started to quiet down once I held him close.

I looked down at his face and smiled. “Lawd. Hs look just like Pressure’s ass. You must’ve hated the shit outta him when you was pregnant, huh?”

Pluto let out a light laugh that she tried to hide, and I smiled wider ‘cause I knew I got her.

“I didn’t hate him,” she said softly, cuttin’ another piece of fruit. “I just… wasn’t ready for all that came with him.”

“I get that,” I said, bouncin’ Prestyn a little. “Pressure a lot. He always been a lot, but he got a good heart. I’m glad he still here.”

Pluto looked up and nodded slow. “Me too.”

Zurie finally got her plate, and I watched her sit at the table with a smile so big it could light up the whole room.

For a minute, the kitchen was quiet. Then I looked at Pluto again. “I’m really sorry about what happened,” I said honestly. “Pressure my dawg, and I don’t condone what Kashmere did. I was cool with her, yeah, but that was wrong. Ain’t no other way to put it.”

Pluto paused what she was doin’, then nodded. “Thank you,” she said. “That means a lot.”

She looked at me again, her voice calmer now. “I can’t believe you and Kay’Lo together though.”

I laughed. “Girl, believe it. I love that man. My man, my man, my man, my baby, my babyyy!”

She smiled, then laughed for real this time.

I grinned and looked around the kitchen. “You know what? You and Pressure need to go out. Like for real. Go do somethin’ fun. Me and Kay’Lo will watch the kids.”

Pluto raised her eyebrows. “You sure about that? Two kids under one roof sound like a lot.”

I chuckled. “Girl, please. Just write down the little schedules or whatever. I got you.”

She looked at me for a long second, like she was really thinkin’ about it. “Maybe,” she said quietly.

“Nah, not maybe,” I said with a grin. “You deserve a break. Let your hair down, put on somethin’ cute, and go enjoy your man. You know he been through hell. Y’all both have. Go do somethin’ that remind y’all why y’all even fought to get here.”

Pluto finally smiled again, a small one but genuine. “You know what, Toni, I might just take you up on that.”

“Good,” I said, rockin’ Prestyn gently. “Just tell me when, and I’ll make sure me and Kay’Lo got everything ready. It’s never a problem.”

She nodded. “I appreciate that.”

I smiled. “Ain’t nothin’ to it. We family now. Might as well start actin’ like it.”

For once, there wasn’t no tension between us, no old drama or competition. It was Just two females who been through a lot, and figurin’ out how to meet in the middle.

Zurie finished her fruit and ran over to show me her sticky hands, and I laughed, handin’ Prestyn back to Pluto so I could grab a towel. The baby was calm now, starin’ up at his mama with those eyes like he already knew he was loved.

As I wiped Zurie’s hands, I looked around the kitchen one more time. This house had seen too much pain, but it felt different now, like we was all tryin’ to move forward, one small moment at a time.

I smiled at Pluto and said, “See, girl, you ain’t gotta do it all by yourself. We got you.”

She looked back at me, that same quiet strength in her eyes, and nodded. “I appreciate it.”

Just like that, the tension was gone. It wasn’t perfect, but peaceful enough to feel like the start of somethin’ new.
