Chapter 42 Kashton

FORTY-TWO

KASHTON

Istand with my back to the wall inside the elevator at Carnage. My hands are in Eve’s hair while her arms are wrapped around my neck. She moans into my mouth while her hips grind into mine.

“I have to go.” She groans in disappointment but makes no move to pull away.

“Let’s go back upstairs,” I urge. We’ve been back from Vegas for two days and have spent every second in my room. We went out in Vegas that first night and then spent most of our time there in bed as well.

I can’t get enough of her.

The sound of the door opening has me deepening the kiss. Just a way to keep her where I want her a little while longer. We didn’t even sleep last night, and my cock is still hard.

Someone clears their throat, and Eve pulls away. I side-eye Ashtyn, dropping my hands from Eve’s hair before putting my attention back on Everett. “I’ll walk you to your car.”

She gives me a naughty smile. “No need. My place tonight?”

“Absolutely.” My eyes drop to the black pleated miniskirt she wears. I want to lift it up so I can see her cum-covered thong from all the times I came inside her over the past forty-eight hours.

Stepping forward, she kisses me one last time, and I slap her ass playfully, making her yelp. Then she turns, giggling, and exits the elevator just as the door slides closed.

I place my hands in my pockets and lean back against the wall. Closing my eyes, I exhale, not looking forward to this long day. I’d much rather be in bed with Eve. All she had to do was say yes, and I would have thrown her over my shoulder and carried her back up to my room.

“So…you and Eve.” Ashtyn speaks for the first time since she stepped into the elevator and interrupted us. “Is it serious?”

I say nothing while I also ignore the vibrating phone in my pocket.

It’s probably Adam. I’m avoiding him. I asked if the text I received in Las Vegas had anything to do with the cops coming to collect Eve, and he said no.

They are still gathering whatever it is they think they’ll find that’ll give them cause to arrest my girl. That was all I needed to know.

“I mean, I guess that’s a stupid question.” She goes on at my silence. “You’ve only known her what? A month at the most? But then again, Haidyn married Charlotte rather quickly.”

“Six years,” I answer to stop her rambling. “I’ve known Eve for six years.” Not a lie.

“Oh.” Her eyes widen before they drop to the floor.

Then I add, “You were gone for a long time, Ash. A lot changed.”

“Yeah.” The elevator stops at the basement, and as the door opens, she whispers to herself, “I guess.”

I step in front of her, blocking her only way out.

“What you did with Jasmine in Vegas? Don’t ever pull that shit again.

My relationship with Eve is that serious.

Do you understand?” I’m not going to mention the Titanic bullshit because then I’d be ratting out Eve for telling me.

That’s what she wants. To think that Eve is threatened by her. I won’t give her that satisfaction.

Ashtyn swallows nervously before giving a soft nod. “I understand.”

Turning, I give her my back and exit the elevator into the basement. I see Saint and Haidyn with Benny. He’s naked and crying. They are always fucking crying. How is the bastard not dead yet?

“Hey, sweetheart.” Saint smiles at Ashtyn when she comes up behind me.

“Hey,” she says softly.

“What’s wrong?” he asks, now frowning. “Everything okay?”

“I’m just tired. I’m going to go back upstairs. Gonna take a nap.”

“Okay. I’ll walk you up there.”

“You don’t have to…”

“Nonsense.” He looks at us. “I’ll be right back.”

We wave him off, and they disappear into the elevator.

I walk over and take a cigarette from Haidyn’s pack on the counter.

“What was that about?” Haidyn asks me.

“What?” I act dumb.

“She looked right at you when he asked if everything was okay. You’re not fucking her, are you?”

“What the fuck?” I bark and then lower my voice. “Are you serious?”

“Wouldn’t be the first time.” He shrugs. “I don’t know what you guys were doing while I was hiding out with Charlotte.”

“Fuck no,” I growl and add, “Ashtyn and Eve are in some kind of war.” If that’s what you want to call it.

He frowns. “Why? Eve jealous you’ve fucked Ashtyn?”

That makes me want to laugh. She knows no other woman could compare to her for me. “Eve thinks you’re going to cheat on Charlotte with Ashtyn.” I expect him to laugh, but he doesn’t.

“I’m not going near Ashtyn, but honestly, Charlotte has mentioned it a few times.” He grabs the pack of cigarettes and removes one. “She was sent a video of us fucking Ashtyn at the House of Lords.”

“I’m confused. Someone sent a video of us fucking Ashtyn to Charlotte?” I want to ask which time, but it doesn’t matter. We had sex with her on multiple occasions. One isn’t any more important than the other.

One time being when we went for a ride and ended up taking a break and fucking her on a picnic table. It makes me think that’s why Ashtyn wanted us all to go for a bike ride the other day. Is she trying to bring back old times? Thinking history will repeat itself? It’ll never happen.

He nods. “Yep. Charlotte got pissed about it. For good reason.” He clenches his jaw.

“If I saw a video of someone fucking my wife, I’d kill the bastard.

Wouldn’t matter if it was before she met me or not.

” I hand him my Zippo, and he lights the cigarette.

“Then Charlotte heard Ashtyn and me having a conversation…”

He trails off and it has me curious. I’m a nosy bitch. “What kind of conversation?”

He blows out the smoke. “She told me she loved me.”

My eyes widen. “In front of Charlotte?”

“Yeah.” He takes another pull of the cigarette.

“It’s my fault. I had told Ashtyn that I loved her the night we were both taken.

Right before the car wreck. It wasn’t supposed to mean anything.

I just wanted her to know that I was there for her.

But when she said it back, it just felt…

odd, ya know?” I nod and he continues. “The timing of her confession. Charlotte and I were already married, and I knew that Charlotte didn’t like that Ashtyn and I have a past, so I’ve tried to put as much space between us as possible.

Which is hard while we’re living under the same roof.

Every time I turn around, Ashtyn seems to be there. ”

“That’s why you’ve distanced yourself from Ashtyn.” I knew there was a reason and Charlotte was why. I just didn’t know what had happened between them.

“You’ve noticed, huh?” He chuckles.

“Of course I have.”

He takes another drag from his cigarette. “It’s for the best. She has Saint. She doesn’t need me. My wife does.”

If Saint were to die, then Haidyn would take over for him—he’s Ashtyn’s guardian—but that doesn’t mean physically. And we’re going to pretend that day will never come. I can’t imagine losing another brother.

“I haven’t said anything to Charlotte yet, but I’m thinking about moving out.”

“From Carnage?” I ask, confused.

He nods. “We need our own place, and the babies will be here before we know it. My wife deserves to have a life outside of this hellhole, and I want to give her one.”

I understand what he means. That’s why I’m choosing to stay at Eve’s tonight. So we can have some privacy, just me and her in a place that isn’t here. “Where are you going to go?”

“I found some property. Enough for all of us. I was actually going to talk to you and Saint about it—”

The sound of the elevator dinging interrupts him, and then a second later, we hear Saint. “Okay.” He claps his hands, returning to the basement. “Where were we?”

My phone starts vibrating in my pocket, and I pull it out to see My Life light up the screen. “One sec,” I tell them and answer. “Hello, angel. Miss me already?”

“I’m bored.”

I smile at her choice of words. “Bored?” I give the guys my back. “What do you want me to do about that?”

“Play with me.” Her breathing picks up at her answer.

“Head to my house,” I command. “I’ll call you back in a minute.”

“What? Kash—”

I hang up and turn to face the guys while I walk backward toward the elevator.

“I have to go. I’ll be back tomorrow.” I wave to them as they call out my name.

My girl wants me to play with her. I’m not going to ignore her.

She comes first. Before anything. Plus, the prisoners we have aren’t going anywhere.

I can only imagine how much courage it took for her to make that call. She waited until she was in the car. Otherwise, she would have asked me in the elevator. She’s coming out of her shell for me. Wanting to be used more.

She’s getting comfortable with me, and I love that. Eve still gets down on herself afterward, but that’s okay. We’ll work on it together. I’ll continue to remind her that it’s okay to enjoy being my toy.

EVERETT

I back into his driveway across from my house when my cell rings. I remain sitting in my car while I answer. “Why am I at your house?” I look at mine through my windshield.

“You want me to play with you, Eve. That means you do as I say.”

My thighs tighten and I nod. “I understand.”

“There’s a spare key under the welcome mat. Let yourself in.”

I have a moment of panic that he’s going to lock me in the collar and chain me in the basement, but a part of me also wants that.

I want him to grab me by the hair, drag me down the stairs, and make me his pet.

Force me to like it. I knew the possibilities before I made the call.

That it could be days before I see sunlight again.

I’m desperate for whatever he wants to do to me. The trip to Las Vegas opened my eyes. I am jealous of girls from his past. Well, everyone except for Ashtyn. But all the others before me—yeah. I want him to myself. I want to know what it feels like for something to be all mine.

“Now, Eve,” he orders, making me jump.
