Chapter 63 Kashton
SIXTY-THREE
KASHTON
Ienter the basement with Eve’s hand in mine. Everyone beat us back to Carnage. We took our time, knowing it would take them a little while to set the motherfucker up.
He kneels in the center of the room, still dressed and face bloody. Alex and Colton only hit him a couple of times. We’re going to do the rest.
Sin digs into his back pocket and removes his wallet. “Maxwell,” he states, reading off his license.
“Where is she?” Hooke demands, shoving the picture of his assistant in the man’s face.
The guy throws his head back, laughing, and Hooke kicks him in the side, pushing him over. After a second, he sits up and his eyes go to my wife.
She stands by the wall, arms crossed over her chest and head down. I think she had a little too much to drink. Even with her high tolerance. We didn’t expect him to take so long to arrive.
“How’s the whore doing?” Maxwell asks, and I look back at him.
“Excuse me?” I ask. He’d better not be talking about my wife.
He smiles at Eve, his eyes lazily looking her up and down while he runs his tongue over his bloody lip. “Look at her. The bitch is begging to be fucked. It’s too hard to resist.”
“Eve?” I call her name, and she glances at me.
“I’m fine,” she states, squaring her shoulders.
I storm over to her and grab her upper arms.
Her green eyes meet mine, and I search them, realizing that they’re dilated. I reach up and touch her neck to feel her pulse, and she leans into me. It’s racing and her skin is clammy.
Licking her lips, she softly says, “I’m fine.”
She’s lying.
“Kash?” Haidyn demands, waiting for me to say something.
“He drugged her,” I grind out.
She shakes her head. “No—”
The man’s laughter interrupts her denial, and I turn around to see Haidyn punch Maxwell in the face, knocking him over. He yanks him up by his shirt and shoves him into the wall at his back.
His laughter just grows. “Why are you mad? I’m sure your friend will let you take your turn with his whore.”
“She’s my sister,” Haidyn barks.
“What?” Ryat’s wide eyes whip to her.
“Sister?” Tyson questions.
Everyone looks from Haidyn to me, but I don’t pay them any attention. My focus is on my wife. She’s practically panting. How did I not notice? I watched them carefully and never saw him put anything in her drink. Tyson even briefed the bartender beforehand so something like this wouldn’t happen.
“Like father like son.” Maxwell’s laughter grows.
I spin around at that, and Haidyn shoves him toward me. I fist my hand and swing, knocking him in the face, and he falls to the floor, rolling to his side, groaning.
“How the fuck do you know my father?” Haidyn shouts, but the guy doesn’t answer.
Sin grabs a chair and rolls it over to me. I help Eve to sit in it; I don’t want her to fall off her heels and hurt herself.
“I’m fine…really.” She’s trying to convince me, but it’s not working.
“What did you give her?” Hooke demands.
“Something that will make her a lot more fun.” Maxwell gives a bloody grin.
“Take her to Devin,” Saint suggests. “Have him push some fluids to get it out of her system.”
“You can try, but that isn’t going to work.” The guy shakes his head.
Haidyn and Ryat start digging through the pockets of his jeans and find an unmarked white dropper bottle.
“And why is that?” I snap as Ryat hands it over to me. I unscrew the lid, holding it above the opening, and pinch it, watching drops fall back into the bottle. It’s thick and has a cloudy tint to it. Definitely not eye drops.
“What the fuck is that?” Ryat wonders.
“It’s a topical. You drop a little piece onto their skin and then they rub it in. Their body soaks it up,” the guy explains.
I step toward him, and Maxwell smiles at me. “Go ahead, strip her naked, tie her up, and let each one of them have their turn, because you won’t be able to satisfy her craving.”
I look over at her sitting in the chair. Her legs are crossed while her knees bounce. Her skin is dewy, eyes heavy.
He goes on at my silence. “If you’re not going to share her, you might as well tie her to your bed and put a vibrator up her cunt.”
“I’m fine. I wiped most of it off with the bar napkin.” She runs her hand over her thigh.
Wait a second…
“You knew he drugged you and didn’t say anything?” Haidyn demands, thinking the same as I am, but she doesn’t answer.
The man frowns as if not pleased with the fact that she rubbed it off.
He looks her up and down. “Doesn’t matter how much she wiped off; she’ll still feel it.
She’ll have extreme mood swings. Depression lows and drug-induced highs.
Isn’t she suicidal?” His eyes meet mine.
“I’d keep a close eye on her, if I were you. ”
I’ve heard enough. Walking over to her, I grab her hand and pull her to her feet. I’m starting to drag her out of the basement when he speaks again.
“She’s the one, isn’t she?”
I get a cold chill up my spine and come to a stop, turning to face him.
“The one what?” Saint asks, but I know what he’s talking about.
“The woman who lures men to their deaths.”
Saint and Alex both laugh like that’s impossible. But Haidyn looks at me skeptically. He’s thinking about it. He saw her work at the cathedral when we picked up that prisoner for Carnage. “What’s he talking about, Kash?” he asks.
Holding in a sigh, I lie. “No clue.”
Maxwell laughs. “Lying to your brothers?” He makes a tsking sound. “They say pussy is the first thing to ruin a family.”
“What the fuck is he talking about, Kashton?” Haidyn snaps. “Is she killing Lords?”
She steps toward him and yells, “I’m right fucking here. Quit talking about me like I’m not.” But I pull her back.
The guy arches a brow as if to say told you so. Her anger has come out of nowhere, the drug amplifying her emotions.
“We’ll discuss this later. She needs to see Devin.” And with that, I yank her through the plastic strip curtains and into the elevator.
EVERETT
I’m so fucking horny. I tried to pretend like I’m not, but my pussy is soaked, my skin is tingling, and my knees want to give out so I can kneel in front of Kashton while he fucks my mouth.
The elevator door closes, and he pulls me into him. His hands cup either side of my face while his worried eyes search my heavy ones.
Rising up on my tiptoes, I press my lips to his.
“Eve.” He pushes me back, frowning.
“Fuck me.” I drop my hands to his belt and undo his buckle, but he catches my wrists, stopping me.
“As much as I want to fuck my wife, I need Devin to look at you first.”
“It’s just sex,” I try and reason with him. We’ve done it a hundred times since he’s come back into my life.
“He drugged you,” he says through gritted teeth.
“I wiped most of it off.” That wasn’t a lie.
I bounce on my toes with need. I’ve never felt anything like this before. Even when I was at Dollhouse. Not that I can remember anyway. I’m desperate. Imagine if I had absorbed all of it or if he had given me the entire bottle.
The elevator comes to a stop, and he pulls me down the hallway and through the double doors to the hospital wing. He takes me to an office where Devin sits behind his desk. He looks up, frowning, and stands. “Kash, everything okay?”
“No,” he growls. “Eve’s been drugged. Some kind of…cream…topical shit. I was wondering what you can do for her.” His hand holds mine in a viselike grip. He’s angry with me, and I want to make it right.
Devin walks over to me and takes my wrist, feeling my pulse, and then steps away. “Take her to exam room one. Get her in a gown, and I’ll be right there.”
“Kash, I promise, I’m okay,” I whine while on the way to the room. “I just want to go to bed.” So you can fuck my brains out.
“After he gives you the all clear.” He kisses my forehead before running his hands up my legs as he slides them under my dress. I raise my hands above my head to let him slip it off me. Then he’s picking me up and setting me on the table before he removes my heels.
I bite back a moan so he doesn’t see how desperate I am, but it feels so good. His tatted hands on my heated skin. Like a lit match to gasoline. I’m on fire for my husband.
He places my arms in the gown’s openings and pulls it closed, tying it off.
The door opens as Devin enters, and Kashton removes his hands and turns to talk to him. I groan in frustration. I tune them out as Kash hands him the eye dropper and rehashes what was said down in the basement.
“Fluids will help detox the liver,” Devin insists. “I’ll draw some blood and start an IV. Once it’s done, I’ll take another blood sample and compare.”
I lie back on the table and close my eyes. So much for getting fucked. This could take all night.
The urge to kick and scream like a child is strong, but I tell myself that will just prove their point. I need to keep my emotions in check.
“Is there anything that we can use to wash it off with?” Kashton asks. “That has to help a little bit, right?”
“Yes, but I’m afraid it won’t be much of a change. Her body has already absorbed most of it by now. You’ve touched her, right?”
“Yes,” he growls. “What the fuck does that have to do with anything?”
“I’m just pointing out that she’s absorbed it. That’s why you can touch her and not get the same response.”
Kashton runs a hand over his head, stressed. “How long does something like this last?”
Devin steps closer to him and lowers his voice. “Depending on what it is and the dosage she got…” He shrugs. “She could see side effects for up to several weeks.”
“I’m horny, not deaf. I can hear you,” I tell them, and Devin clears his throat.
Kashton walks over to me and takes my hand while Devin starts my IV in the other. He draws a tube of blood and then hooks me up to a drip. “Here. I’ll leave you two be. Just use this to wash off the infected area. I’m going to go have tests run on the blood sample, then I’ll be back.”
As Devin exits the room, my husband lets go of my hand and walks to the other side of the bed. “Where was it? The exact area,” Kash asks through gritted teeth.
I slide the gown up more than I need to and run my hand over my skin to show him where. He begins to wash it.
I look over his defined jaw and dark hair.
As much as he is intimidating, he’s also so handsome.
The rough material of the washcloth on my skin has me breaking out in goose bumps.
It’s like the best back scratch. I reach out, grip his shirt, and pull him toward me.
But before my lips can touch his, he pulls away.
“Eve,” he warns.
“Please.” I lift my hips off the exam table. “I’m begging you, Kash.”
“Hey.” He places the washcloth over my thigh and leans into me to push my hair out of my face. “I want to make sure you’re safe, Eve.”
I’ve never known a man to care so much. I’m lucky to have him but also irritated. “I am. I’m just horny.”
“I don’t know what he gave you. You were drinking…you could have a reaction or…”
“You know how many times I’ve been drugged?” I give a laugh, and he frowns. “I’ll be fine.” I try again to yank him toward me, but he pulls away, and I huff.
“I will tie you to this table if I have to.” He meant it as a warning, but I think it sounds like a good time.
“Yes, please do,” I beg.
He sighs heavily and stands when the door opens. I narrow my eyes on Haidyn as he enters. “What did Devin say?” he asks.
“He took a blood sample and started an IV. He said topical or not, flushing the liver will help. I also just washed off the infected area.” Kashton shrugs. “Not sure it’ll help, but it can’t hurt.”
Haidyn nods. “May I speak to you a second? Privately.”
Kashton turns to me, and his hard eyes meet mine. “Stay right here. On this table. Do you understand?”
Where the fuck am I going to go? Out the window? That won’t get me fucked. Just break my legs. I nod.
“I mean it, Eve. I want you in this very spot.” He points to the table I lie on, and it reminds me of when I let him treat me like a pet. I’d love for him to collar and fuck me right now. Tie me up, put me in bed, and fuck my face until I’m drooling all over myself.
“I understand.”
He kisses my forehead and then turns, exiting the room with Haidyn.
I slam the back of my head on the table, throwing my arm that doesn’t have an IV in it over my eyes. The light in here is too bright.
