CHAPTER TWENTY-SEVEN
Ruben
I walk into the room, and my dark eyes lock with Lennon’s. Her fiery red hair cascades down her back, and a wave of desire washes over me. The electricity between us is undeniable.
“I want to fuck you so bad…” My voice is almost a growl.
A smirk pulls those lips up. “Then fuck me, but fuck me well.”
“Baby, by this time, you should know I don’t do anything half-ass.” Now it’s my turn to smirk. I love how bold and forwarded she is. We are going to have so much fun.
I throw her on the bed, my hands finding their way to her hips, gripping them firmly. My fingers dig into her flesh as she reaches up to run her fingers through my hair. Our bodies pressed together, craving more.
This kiss tastes like heaven and is filled with electricity. The kind of energy that makes my brain short circuit, I’m so fucked for this girl… no, this woman. Lennon is more than a girl and now I’m experiencing it firsthand. Her moans drive me nuts, and as her arms wrap tightly around my neck, I realize there is too much fabric between us. The need to have her naked takes over.
While I hover over her, While I hover over her, taking my shirt off, I’m admiring how beautiful she is. Lennon isn’t timid. She doesn’t waste the time, tracing a finger down my chest and abs, feeling the warmth of my skin under her touch.
I tear away her dress, revealing those glorious tits encased in fine black lace. My hand finds its way under the cup of her bra, lifting it to expose her nipple. I lower my mouth to nuzzle at it, my lips and tongue sending a ripple of sensation through her body. She gasps, the sound making my pulse race.
Her hands roam across my shoulders and back as I trail kisses down to her waist. We quickly remove every remaining stitch, desperate to taste and take inventory of every inch of skin.
Our bare skin presses together again, and I position myself between her legs. I take a moment to admire the way her glance glistens with need. Ah, the way her back arches when my tongue traces lines down her belly urges me for more. But there is no rush. I’ve been craving this. Now the time to savor it is here.
I’m going to make her come. Hard. I’m going to make her beg for me and just for me. I’m going to own her tonight. And forever, a voice in my head whispers.
I brush my erection against her wetness before slowly guiding myself inside of her. We both moan at the sensation as we become one. I’ll never forget the way she looks at me right now.
Our bodies move in perfect harmony; my hips thrusting as her hips rise to meet me. We’re completely in sync, our rhythm connecting us on a transcendent level. The room fills with the sounds of our passionate moans, the scent of our shared lust.
As we move together, my hands explore her body. My fingertips ghost over her full breasts. I tease her hardened nipples, then wander lower to gently stroke her trembling inner thigh. Every touch sends a shudder through her, and she can’t hold back her cries of pleasure.
This is going to be like two stars colliding. Each thrust of mine sends waves through her body, pulling her closer and closer to the edge. When we lock eyes again, I know she can’t hold on much longer. Come for me, baby, come all over my cock. I’m not sure if I said it out loud but as if our minds were in tune, she complies.
Lennon clings to me as her orgasm crashes through her, waves of pleasure flooding her body like a tsunami. The feeling pushes me past my own breaking point. My deep groans fill the air as I reach my climax with her.
Our bodies tremble together in the aftermath, and I collapse on her without crushing her, barely holding my weight on my elbows. Our chests heave as we try to catch our breath, but our eyes never leave each other. This is what I was looking for.
All my life to find you, Lennon Callahan. And you’re worth it.
? ? ?
I’d kiss the ground for this woman. But right now, I’m making myself busy kissing her bare back. Those freckles are like a map to the treasure and my lips are more than happy to follow the trail. The last sun rays filter through the window, painting the room in soft amber hues, casting the perfect setting for our time together.
“You’re entertained,” she murmured, her voice laced with post-bliss haze. “My back can’t be that special.”
“I can assure you it is,” my reply is firm, as if stating a fact, but my lips are tugged up by a smile. “Now let a man work.”
She laughs and it stirs something deep in my chest. I tighten my arm around her. “You need to give me a break. Tomorrow, I’ll be sore.” Too bad pride fills up my chest.
“Good. You’ll remember me every time you move…”
“As if you were a man who’s easy to forget.”
A few minutes later, my fingers are in her from behind. Seems like I can’t get enough of the sounds she makes, of the way she moves. Of her taste on my buds.
I know what I’m doing, distracting myself with sex. The past few weeks have been a rollercoaster. From the moment she handed me that flyer for the theater, I knew she would be trouble. She’d thrown my world into chaos. Now, lying here with her in my arms, I couldn’t imagine my life without her. That’s why I had to tell her. All of it.
“I know we said no more secrets,” I begin, breaking the silence.
She sighs and turns to look at me, her breath fanning across my chest. “What now?”
“I think you’ll like this one,” I tease, grinning as her fingers still against my skin.
Her head lifts, and she narrows those sharp, brandy-colored eyes at me. “Out with it, Posada.”
“Calm down, tiger,” I say, laughing again. “You’re going to ruin my big moment.”
She lifted her head to glare at me, but her eyes, those brandy-colored eyes, sparkled with curiosity.
“Fine. Stall all you want. But if this is about you secretly being married or having a kid, I swear to God—”
I barked a laugh. “Relax. No wives, no kids. But I did put a plan in motion…”
Her expression shifts in an instant, and she’s staring at me like I’d just told her the secret to eternal youth.
“What?” She shoots up, propping herself on one elbow. Her hair’s a mess, her lips are swollen, and she looks absolutely stunning.
“Yes,” I say, savoring her reaction. “My brothers are in. When I was about to board my flight back, Gabriel called me with some interesting information.”
“Start talking,” she demands, sitting cross-legged in front of me now, her full attention locked on.
I lean back against the headboard, taking a moment to admire how gorgeous she is before diving in. “Gabriel, my older brother, works in finance here in the city. He’s got a lot of influence, and after my first visit to the theater, I couldn’t shake the charm of the place. I wanted to be part of its history.”
She’s watching me, her lips parted slightly, like she’s holding her breath.
“I wasn’t happy about Aiden,” I huff. “Fisher. I wasn’t happy about him putting more pressure on me to get this done.”
“And then there was me,” she says, a sly smile tugging at her mouth.
I smirk back. “Exactly. You.”
Her smile softens, and I reach for her hand, pulling her closer. “The firm president handed me the Buenos Aires case. It’s a big opportunity for me to get the senior partnership without the carrot dangled in front of me. It also gave me some freedom to work on something meaningful. So, I started pulling pieces together. My brother, David, owns a huge construction firm, and I convinced him to help with the remodeling. Gabriel is negotiating with the city to settle the Olsons’ debts. My sister, Elena, is a marketing wizard, so she’s crafting a plan to make it sustainable in the long term. And I’m working on getting the theater designated as a city historic landmark.”
She gasps, her hand flying to her mouth. “Ruben, I can’t… I can’t believe you’re doing this. It’s amazing,” she whispers after a minute.
“And challenging,” I admit, running a hand through my hair. “It’s not just about getting the theater out of trouble but setting it up for long-term success. The Olsons mean well, but they don’t know how to run a business. They need to step back a bit. Gabriel’s bringing in someone to manage operations.”
Lennon shifts closer, her eyes shining. “You’re doing so much for the theater.”
“Not for the theater, for you ,” I say, my voice low and steady. She makes me feel like a million bucks, and my deepest wish is for her to know how much she means to me. But I can’t resist teasing her. “And for the chance to be part of this story. Don’t forget that.”
Her laugh is warm and soft, and then she leans in, her mouth finding mine. The kiss starts sweet, her lips brushing over mine like a whisper, but it deepens quickly. She slides into my lap, her hands framing my face, her body pressing against mine.
“Lennon,” I murmur against her mouth, my hands roaming over her back. Her skin is soft and warm beneath my palms, and every touch feels like coming home.
Her fingers tangle in my hair, tugging lightly, and a low growl escapes me. I flip us over, pinning her beneath me, and she gasps, her eyes sparkling with mischief.
“Bossy,” she teases, her voice breathless.
“You love it,” I shoot back, my lips trailing down the column of her neck. Her laughter turns into a moan as I find the sensitive spot just below her ear.
My hands slide up her sides, over the curves of her body, and she arches into me. Her breath catches. The tension between us builds, hot and electric, and I’m completely lost in her. Her nails dig into my shoulders as I press a line of kisses down her collarbone, her chest rising and falling beneath me.
“Ruben,” she whispers, her voice shaky and filled with need. I pause, lifting my head to look at her, and the way she’s gazing at me is everything. Vulnerable, open… trusting.
The first moment my body invades her, those beautiful brown eyes water, and for a moment, I think she’s going to cry. Then she pulls me down, kissing me fiercely. Her hands clutch me like I’m her lifeline.
I thrust into her again, racing for the prize. The tension builds until she’s a whiting mess, asking for more between moans. Her hand flies to her clit, circling it relentlessly. “Don’t worry, greedy girl. I’m going to give you what you’re looking for.” Pushing her fingers aside, mine take over.
The world outside this room, the challenges we’re facing, the secrets we’ve left behind… it all disappears.
Later, we lay tangled together, my heart feels like it might burst from my chest, but in the best possible way.
“You’re amazing, you know that?” she says softly.
“Damn right, I am,” I reply, smirking.
She smacks my chest lightly, but her laugh is warm.
“Seriously, Ruben. I don’t know what I did to deserve you.”
I tilt her chin up, forcing her to meet my gaze. “You walked into my life, Chispita . That’s all it took.”
Her cheeks flush, and she bites her lip. God, she’s gorgeous. “You walked into mine. I was there, being cute while promoting the fundraising.” Every man needs a woman who makes him stronger. She’s the one for me.
“I got you something in Buenos Aires,” I say, lowering my voice.
She just smiles while I run to take the black box from my unpacked bag.
Slowly and with a lot of flourish, to make her laugh, I open the box in front of her.
“Ruben…” she murmurs, while her finger traces the line of the delicate gold chain. “It’s beautiful.”
“No more beautiful than you.” Now, she kissed me. Taking control, slow and deep, she pours everything we feel into it.
She melts against me, her body on top of mine. My hand slid up her side, teasing the soft curve of her waist, taking her to where I want her.
“Sit on my face. Ride me. Then, after I make you come, take my cock. You have the first class ticket, so let me see you fly.”
So she does. I love how eager she is. How fearless she is. The shameless way she asks for more.
“Ruben,” she whispers, her voice breathless.
“Hmm?” I mutter, my lips sucking harder.
“Don’t stop.”
I smile against her sensitive skin, her hands tangling in my hair as she climbs higher and higher. She looks down at me, her eyes dark with desire, and I feel a surge of possessiveness. She is mine. And I am hers.
“No more secrets,” my whisper a low growl, after my work is done.
“No more secrets,” she agrees, pulling me into a kiss that burns like wildfire.
I’m taking my time with her. Making everything slow and intense, every touch and every kiss a promise. When we finally lay still, our bodies entwined, I press a kiss to her forehead.
“You’re stuck with me, Lennon,” I vow. “There is no way I’d let you go.”
She smiles, her eyes fluttering closed. “Good. Just the way I like it.”
