Making Plans. and More

Celeste lay sprawled across Adrian's desk, her chest rising and falling as she tried to catch her breath. Her body still tingled from the intensity of what they had just done—raw, passionate, consuming.

Adrian, still hovering over her, pressed a lingering kiss to her collarbone before pulling back just enough to see her face. His thumb traced her swollen lips, a satisfied smirk tugging at his mouth.

"You okay?" he murmured, his voice husky.

Celeste exhaled a shaky laugh. "You're insane."

Adrian chuckled. "For you? Always."

His hands skimmed down her sides, settling possessively on her waist. "Now, about what I said earlier..."

Celeste blinked. "About what?"

He grinned. "Having a baby."

Heat rushed to her cheeks. "You were serious about that?"

Adrian arched a brow. "Dead serious." He leaned in, pressing his lips just beneath her ear. "I want to see you carrying my child, Celeste."

Her heart pounded, her mind spinning. She hesitated, chewing her lower lip. "It's... a big step, Adrian."

He hummed, trailing kisses down her jaw. "I know." His fingers slid over her bare stomach, stroking the skin lightly. "I wanted us to have a family. Do you not want a child?"

Celeste swallowed hard. A part of her had always dreamed of this—of a family with him. But after everything they'd been through, she had her doubts.

Or at least, she did.

Because looking into his eyes now, she saw something different—something real. There was no indifference, no emotional distance. Just pure, unwavering love.

Her resistance crumbled.

"...Okay," she whispered.

Adrian froze. "Okay?"

She bit her lip, nodding. "Okay."

His smirk returned in full force, pure mischief gleaming in his eyes. "So, does that mean we just made our first baby right now?"

Celeste rolled her eyes, smacking his chest. "Adrian—"

He grabbed her wrist, pinning it against the desk with a playful growl. "What? We should go home quickly."

She frowned. "Why?"

His grin widened. "We just made a baby boy. Now, let's go home and make a baby girl. I want twins."

Celeste gasped, smacking him again. "Adrian!"

He laughed, kissing her fiercely. "What? It's basic math, sweetheart."

Celeste groaned, covering her face with both hands. "You are ridiculous."

Adrian pried her hands away, pressing a kiss to each of her palms. "I'm serious, though. I want this, Celeste. I want you. Our family."

She gazed at him, her heart swelling.

With that, all her hesitation, all her doubts—vanished.

She could feel it now.

Adrian loved her.

Completely. Unquestionably.

And as he scooped her into his arms, carrying her out of the office with nothing but sinful promises in his eyes, she knew one thing for sure—

Tonight, there was no escaping him.
