Chapter 7 - Disciplined

At the bottom, the four men stood close together, all of them looking up at the glass. Their eyes tracked the single moving shape inside. I lifted my chin once. They fell into step behind me without a word.

My boys followed close.

Halfway up, I stopped.

They stopped too.

I looked at them one by one because this line deserved eyes on it. “I’m offering you Lily.”

No one made a joke.

“This is not a payroll order,” I said. “If any part of that sits wrong, turn around now. Your job stays clean. Your place with me stays clean. Nobody gets punished for having a line.”

They knew I meant it. I waited. I wanted to see who stepped back. I did not build an empire so I could beg my own brothers to cross a door they did not choose.

Reza recovered first, because Reza could sell champagne to a man dying of thirst and still upsell him the table. His grin came back thinner than usual. “You always did know how to make an offer sound exclusive.”

“Answer me,” I said.

He dropped the grin. “I’m in.”

Abel let out a low laugh through his nose, more nerves than comedy. “Damn, H. That’s your wife.” He looked up the last stretch of stairs. “That’s Lily.”

“I know whose wife she is.”

His mouth worked once. The street had never fully left Abel. Neither had the hunger. “Then I’m not gonna act stupid and say I ain’t thought about it. I’m in if she’s in.”

“She is.”

Tedros took the toothpick from his mouth. He did not look excited. Tedros looked like a man measuring weight before he lifted it. “Boss, you sure this ain’t about her firing us?”

“It started there.”

His stare held mine.

“It doesn’t end there,” I said.

That satisfied him enough. He tucked the toothpick away. “Then I follow your lead.”

Darryl said nothing for another beat. He had driven me through too many bad nights to waste words on performance. At last, he nodded once.

“Let’s not leave her waiting.”

I climbed the rest of the stairs with them behind me. My hand closed around the VIP door handle. Before going in I turned back.

“When we go in, you don’t speak. She’s blindfolded. I want her kept in suspense.”

Reza’s grin tried to return.

I looked at him until it died.

Then I opened the door.

The VIP room opened around us, floor-to-ceiling windows on one side. I had always liked that the room showed more than it hid.

Lily stood on the round mirror table, bare except her heels and for gold at her wrists and throat. Her heels were braced wide on the mirror. Black silk covered her eyes. The vibrator I had left against her cunt kept working.

Her wedding ring flashed above the black silk.

Her blond hair fell over one shoulder and then the other. Her lipstick was still clean. Her breasts lifted with the strain in her arms, nipples hard as ever. Between her thighs, the toy had made a shine of her. She had been alone with her own need long enough to lose patience.

Behind me, Reza and Abel bumped fists before they remembered themselves. Reza’s “oh, shit” came out under his breath.

Tedros cut him a look. “Mouth shut.”

Darryl’s voice followed, low. “He said silent.”

I raised one hand.

That was enough.

Lily turned her face toward the sound. The blindfold made her mouth softer than she liked to let it be. “You’re back, love.”

“I am.”

“And you brought ghosts with you?”

Smart girl. Even blind, even soaked and tied up, Lily Rose counted bodies in a room.

I pointed toward the red sofa curved around the table.

My men took their seats without ceremony.

Leather creaked beneath Tedros. Abel settled forward before forcing himself back.

Darryl sat at the end where he could see the door, because Darryl was Darryl even when my wife was spread open in front of him.

Lily shifted against the rope, thighs flexing around the toy. “Who is here?”

“People who know how to obey.”

Her lips parted. She tried to make that sound like amusement. “That must be refreshing for you.”

“It is.”

“Am I supposed to be nervous?”

“Maybe.”

She lifted her chin. I loved that chin most when I made it drop.

I crossed to the bar. Behind the bottles, beneath the shelf where Reza hid the ridiculous cigars he thought I didn’t know about, I kept the crop.

Black leather, short handle. Lily had bought it after a fight in our bedroom and left it on my pillow like a dare.

She had pretended to be shocked when I used it.

After that, she found reasons to earn it.

The crop tapped once against my palm as I walked back.

Lily smiled. “That sound is unfair.”

“You earned unfair.”

“I earned attention.” Her voice dropped lower. “From my husband.”

I pressed the remote.

The vibrator jumped to its highest setting.

Her knees bent. She caught herself through the cuffs, mouth opening on a filthy little moan. “Fuck. Right there. Don’t move it.”

“I’m not touching it.”

“You’re still doing it.”

Abel shifted on the sofa. The table placed Lily close enough that if she rocked too far, her thigh would pass inches from his face. He looked at her, then at me, and kept his hands visible on his knees. Good. Hunger with manners.

I stepped behind Lily. A red mark from earlier had faded to a blush across one cheek. I set the crop there without striking.

“Tell me why you’re being disciplined.”

She rolled her hips against the toy and tried to dodge the question with her body. “Because I look good like this.”

I brought the crop down.

The sound cut through the room. Lily’s ass jerked under the leather. She laughed once, breathless and mean. That was Lily too. Give her a punishment and she would flirt with the blade.

“Again,” I said.

“Because I like making you prove you want me.”

The second strike sat lower.

Her laugh broke into a gasp.

“You already know I want you.”

“You don’t get jealous.”

“No.”

“I hate that.” She pushed her ass back toward the next hit. “I hate that those bottle girls can crawl over you all night and you look at them like they mean nothing.”

The men stayed still. Downstairs, the crowd roared at a beat drop. Up here, Lily was the only show that mattered.

“Names,” I said.

Her mouth tightened. “Viccy. Spice. Every girl with tits pressed to your office door.”

The crop kissed her skin without force. A warning.

She swallowed. “I was jealous.”

“That was a start.”

Her head turned toward my voice. “I didn’t touch your money.”

“No. You touched my people.”

“I was angry,” she said.

I struck her again.

She cried out, then pushed back into the sting.

“You were reckless.”

“I was protecting what’s mine.”

“They were mine too.”

The words left my mouth level. That was all the warning she got.

Her shoulders softened under the cuffs. The vibrator kept dragging pleasure out of her, and she had to fight to keep her voice sharp. “I fired them.”

“Yes.”

“I shouldn’t have.”

“No.”

“I was going to bring them back.”

I let the silence answer.

Her lips pressed together beneath the blindfold. For once, Lily had no clean angle to work. She could seduce me, irritate me, make me laugh, make me hard, make a room full of men forget their own names.

“I’m sorry,” she said.

The crop landed harder.

Her head fell forward. “Haile.”

“Say what you did.”

“I fired your boys because I wanted you to feel it.”

There it was.

I let the crop rest against her marked skin.

My cock strained against my slacks, and the pleasure of that admission moved through me with a dangerous calm.

My wife, stripped and bound above the club I owned, confessing to the wound she had tried to hide inside a tantrum.

My men hearing it. My name holding all of them in place.

“That’s the truth,” I said.

She nodded, quick. “Yes.”

“And?”

“I won’t do it again.”

“Make me believe you.”

She drew in a rough breath. The toy kept working. Her thighs trembled from holding herself open on the glass. “I won’t touch their jobs. I won’t use your loyalty against you. I won’t punish them because I’m scared some little waitress wants my ring.”

Good girl.

I did not say it. Not yet.

The crop moved again. One stroke, then another after she steadied. I watched the marks build across her ass, red against pale skin. She moaned louder now, no shame left in it. The men had become part of the punishment even though she did not know their names were in the room.

“Please,” Lily said.

“For what?”

“More.”

“You don’t get vague with me.”

She dragged her lower lip between her teeth. “Hit me harder and make me come.”

I gave her what she asked for.

The next strikes came faster. The crop snapped over the curve of her ass, then lower where she would feel it when she sat beside me tomorrow pretending she had not begged for this.

She rocked against the vibrator in messy little thrusts.

Her wrists pulled at the line above her, but the cuffs held.

I stayed close enough to catch her before pride cost her balance.

Her voice climbed. “I’m coming.”

“Not yet.”

A broken sound left her. “Haile.”

“Hold it.”

She tried. I watched the fight move through her legs, her mouth, the arch of her back.

Lily hated losing control almost as much as she loved handing it to me.

Down below, shadows swayed on the dance floor.

If any of them looked up, they would see a woman’s shape on my table, arms raised, whipped into submission. Because I allowed it.

“Now,” I said.

The orgasm took her hard. Her knees buckled, and I stepped in before the cuffs bore too much of her weight.

My arm locked around her waist. Her body spasmed against me while she cursed my name into the blindfold.

Wetness marked the mirror glass beneath her in bright streaks, proof of what I had done to her and what she had let me make public.

I killed the vibrator with the remote. The purr died. Lily sagged back into me, panting, slick thighs trembling against my forearm.

“Easy,” I said.

I lowered the line enough to bring her wrists down. Only then did I slide the blade under the rope at the knot and cut it clean.

The vibrator dropped onto the glass and rolled against my shoe.

I pulled the blindfold free.

Lily blinked into the room, makeup a little ruined now. I turned her by the chin until she looked at me first.

“You look obscene when you come,” I said.

Her arms went around my neck as far as the binds allowed. She gave a weak laugh against my jaw. “You smug bastard.”

“Yes.”

“I loved it.” Her voice was soft, then rougher when she found herself again. “I hate that I loved it that much.”

“You wanted discipline.”

“I wanted you.” She kissed the corner of my mouth, greedy even now. “Am I forgiven?”

I held her there for one beat longer, close enough that she thought the answer belonged to me alone.

Then I turned her face toward the sofa.

“My forgiveness was never the bill,” I said. “Ask the men you tried to throw out of my house.”

Her body went still in my hands.

Tedros sat forward with his forearms on his thighs, toothpick gone, eyes steady on her face instead of the marks she could feel burning.

Abel’s swagger had thinned into open want.

His chains rested against his chest, silent for once.

Reza looked polished from the neck down and hungry above it.

Darryl waited at the end of the sofa, hands folded, giving her nothing easy to fight.

Lily saw them all.

Her cheeks colored first. Then her throat.

Her fingers tightened at the back of my neck, and I felt the old territorial fury wake up in her before shame put a hand over its mouth.

She had fired these men. She had made me choose in a language I refused to speak.

Now they were here, invited by me, looking at the wife who had tried to erase them.

For a second, she looked ready to snap at me.

I almost hoped she would.

Instead, Lily lowered her hands from my neck and brought them in front of her. She stood on the marked glass with her ass striped red, her cunt still wet, her pride fighting for its life.

“Haile,” she said, and my name held warning.

I leaned close to her ear. “Careful.”

She shut her mouth. Took the warning.

Then she turned back to my men and lifted her chin, even with the blush burning all the way down her chest.

“Tedros,” she said. Her voice shook once before she forced it steady. “Abel. Reza. Darryl.”

No one helped her.

Lily swallowed and stepped down from the center of the table with my hand at her waist. She did not hide behind me. She faced the sofa because I had told her to face it.

“I owe you an apology,” she said.
