EPILOGUE

ONLY DAYS AFTER FILMING wrapped up, the crew left to go on to their next projects as did the majority of the cast.
While Moon Manor could never have been ready enough for us to resume filming there, repairs had made it possible for us to move back.
“When do you plan to head back to Bath?” Ayra said as we sat in the solarium, enjoying the rays of the sun despite the cold outside.
“I was hoping to stay another week or so,” I said.
“You know you’re welcome to stay as long as you want,” Abbie said.
With Jane at my breast, I rocked gently, reveling in every emotion that crossed my heart. “What an adventure this has been,” I whispered.
“Indeed.”
“Not just this one movie, but all the Jane Austen adaptations we took on.”
Abbie let out an amused laugh. “And what to say about your matchmaking talent.”
My brow rose in surprise, but then I realized I had had much success in that department. “Right. Like you and Gabriel.”
“Or me and Jai,” Ayra said.
“Then there’s Susan and Bradley.”
“As well as Cliff and Penny.”
“And your most recent accomplishment; Darling and Matthew.”
“Oh, they were a set before I even met them, they just didn’t know it yet. But, then again, Susie and Kenneth certainly were a surprise.”
Jane fussed at my breast, and I brought her to my shoulder for a quick burp, then settled her on my other breast.
“So,” Abbie said. “What do we do now?”
“Well, I have a baby to nurse.”
“I know that,” she said with a laugh. “I mean us. The Jane Austen Association. We’ve gone through all of her major works.”
“Yeah,” Ayra said biting her nail. “I’ve been thinking of that, too. Where do we go from here?”
I shrugged. “I don’t know. Any suggestions?”
“What about Steinbeck?” Abbie said.
I grimaced. “Too heavy.”
“Hemingway?”
I shrugged. “His ‘iceberg’ way of writing doesn’t lend itself well to film adaptations... at least, not for me.”
“Orwell?”
I laughed. “Oh, no. I’m not touching that.”
“Well, who then?”
I smiled. I’d been thinking of a particular author for a while. “What do you guys think about Agatha Christie?”
Abbie clapped and jumped up and down in her seat. “Perfect! I love Agatha Christie. And I absolutely adore Detective Hercule Poirot.”
“And I think that Agatha is a beautiful name for your second baby,” Ayra shot in.
We all laughed while Jane opened her eyes to look up at me. A warm oozing feeling ran through me like nothing I’d ever felt before. Yes, I thought. Maybe I will give you a brother or sister soon enough. But for now, I just want to enjoy you, my little gift from heaven.
