Chapter 13

“I’m not ready to let you go.” Boston groaned as he glided in and out of me.

I couldn’t respond because he’d hit my spot, and my pussy spasmed.

It was my last morning in Vegas, and I wasn’t ready to say goodbye to Boston either. If I could have stayed longer, I would have, but we both had lives we had to get back to. I had a photo shoot a couple of days later, and I wanted to unpack and unwind after this whirlwind of a vacation.

I was only supposed to have some fun, do a little work, then go home and figure out things with Victor.

Instead, I got married and ended up on multiple blogs.

The first one Boston and I saw weren’t the only ones.

Overnight, pictures of Boston and me had blown up on the internet.

Even when we thought people didn’t see us, they did.

Boston didn’t seem too concerned about it, but I was a little.

I felt like Victor and I should have had a conversation about it before the world found out.

Victor had called me so much over the course of the night that I had to turn my phone off. I made sure my parents and friends knew I was good before I did, though. I was certain that the minute I turned my phone back on, I would be inundated with messages.

Boston released inside of me, then rolled onto the bed next to me. He kissed my shoulder, then wrapped his arm around me. My legs were weak, so I wasn’t in a rush to move.

“I don’t know why you won’t just take the private jet with me home,” Boston said right before he buried his nose into my neck.

“Because I need time to figure all of this stuff out. This wasn’t in the plan, you know?”

“I do know, and I also know that plans change. You can’t find what we have, but I’ll give you the space you need. I know you have to tell your break boyfriend that you are completely done because you have a husband now.” He looked at me and smirked.

“And how do you know I’m going to stay your wife?”

Boston reared his head back as his hand flew to his chest.

After a second passed, he leaned forward and kissed my cheek. “Because you know it’s the right thing to do.” He got out of bed and walked toward the bathroom.

I wasn’t going to argue, because he wasn’t lying.

I enjoyed Boston because he made me feel something deep in my bones, and he had good dick, long money, and connections.

I’d be a fool to let all that go. The man had a great personality to match all of that.

Before I turned my phone off, I saw a few messages from companies that I wanted to work with but hadn’t because they never reached out.

All of a sudden, I’m spotted with Boston, and now they are at my door.

I wasn’t a user, but I knew how to capitalize off my situation.

It was honestly a win-win situation for me.

Boston stayed in the bathroom for a few minutes before he came out with a washcloth and cleaned me up.

I needed to eat and rest a little before my flight.

I knew by the time I got my butt in the airplane seat, I was going to be knocked out.

Since I refused to fly back with Boston, he upgraded my ticket to first class, and I was okay with that.

“I don’t want to spend our last little bit of time worrying about anything else except this right here.

” He waved his hand between us. “Let’s get some breakfast, then I’ll eat your pussy again because I need one last taste for the road.

We’ll chill, and I’ll make sure you get to the airport on time. How does that sound?”

“Sounds great to me.”

Boston ordered room service, then helped me out of bed. We went into the bathroom to shower. We didn’t have sex again, but there was a lot of kissing and touching. I had gotten attached to Boston over the last few days, and it wasn’t going to be easy being away from him once I left.

By the time we got out of the shower, the food had arrived. We both put on the hotel issued robes and sat in the sitting room to eat.

“Are you absolutely certain that you want to continue things once we leave? You know the real world is going to be totally different. And I travel a lot.”

I was honestly nervous about going home because I wasn’t sure that if Boston ran into his ex, they wouldn’t rekindle or something. He said he was done, but sometimes a person felt like that when they didn’t see a person. His mind could change once he was in front of her.

“Traveling a lot don’t mean shit to me, Harvest. I have money and can go anywhere in the world I want. If I have to fly out to you somewhere, then that’s what I will do. Have I not shown you that I’m in this shit with you?”

“Yeah, you have. I guess I’m just a little scared because how fast everything moved.”

Boston put his fork down and pushed the plates further away. He grabbed my hands and pulled me toward him. He looked in my eyes, and I felt things that I hadn’t felt in a while. I felt cherished.

“I’m sure I already said that shit don’t have a time limit. We feel what we feel because it’s real. There is nothing in the world that’s going to come between us. We can’t fight what the stars aligned.”

“Okay.”

Boston pulled me closer, and we shared a passionate kiss that had my knees weak and my pussy wet again.

We spent the rest of the time chilling and having sex until it was time for me to head to the airport.

As promised, Boston took me to the airport and stayed with me until it was time to board.

We both didn’t want to separate, but I knew the real test between us would come when we were apart and in our element.

Boston told me to let him know when I got home, and I promised him I would before we shared one last kiss, and I boarded my flight.

It took three hours for me to arrive in Sunrise Valley, and I was tired.

I took a nap on the plane, but everything had finally caught up to me.

I had to drag myself off the plane and grab my bags.

Exhaustion made me move slower than usual.

I couldn’t have been more grateful that I didn’t drive to the airport, because I could hardly keep my eyes open.

On the ride home from the airport, I couldn’t stop thinking about Boston. I was supposed to let him know when I landed, but I decided to wait until I actually made it home. That would be when I would tell my friends and parents as well.

Before I knew it, we’d arrived at my apartment building. The driver helped me get my bags out of the trunk, and I headed inside.

I saw a figure outside of my door when I stepped off the elevator, and I wasn’t sure if it was my neighbor or not. The closer I got, the clearer the person had gotten.

“Victor? What are you doing here?”

I probably shouldn’t have been surprised that he was here since I hadn’t answered his calls.

He looked behind me, then back at me. He looked angry, and maybe I understood why, but then again, I didn’t.

“What do you mean, what am I doing here? How the fuck do you think it feels seeing my girl running around Vegas with some other nigga?” His nostrils flared.

“Oh, and not only were you running around with him, but it’s also a rumor going around that the two of you got married.

” He glanced down at my hand, and when he spotted the ring, he got even angrier.

“I understand I do owe you a conversation considering we were on a break, but that doesn’t give you the right to just pop up at my house.”

“That’s all you are worried about? Me popping up? Not the fact that you up and married someone else. Were you cheating on me this whole time and already had this shit planned?”

“Not at all. Look, I’m sorry for how things turned out. The break was because things with us weren’t going well anyway. This trip showed me that we don’t need to be together. You didn’t even call me until that picture came out, so clearly, you weren’t worried about me.”

Before Victor could respond, my phone rang. I pulled it out of my bag and debated on answering when I saw Boston calling. I already knew he probably was wondering if I made it home or not. I decided I would just call him when I got rid of Victor, but the phone rang again.

Reluctantly, I answered.

“Hello.”

“Are you fucking kidding me?” Victor shouted, and it was wishful thinking that Boston didn’t hear him. Maybe he would think it was someone outside or something.

Victor looked like he was on the verge of blowing a gasket as I held the phone to my ear.

“Was that person talking to you?” Boston asked.

“Um.”

“Harvest.” All it took was the tone of Boston’s voice to know that I needed to tell him the truth.

I didn’t want things to turn out like this, because Victor wasn’t a bad person. He should have given me time to call him, and we could have had a civilized conversation, but he couldn’t wait.

“Yes,” I answered Boston. I looked up at Victor. “It’s my ex, and he was just leaving.”

“Put me on speaker,” Boston demanded.

“Everything is fine, Boston. I’m about to go in the house and unpack.”

I tried my best to defuse the situation, but that didn’t look like it was going to happen.

“Harvest, put the phone on speaker.”

“Okay.”

I removed the phone and put it on speaker. Victor looked at me like he wanted to strangle me, but I knew he wouldn’t. He wasn’t that type of person. He really was a good guy, for the most part, but our relationship had run its course.

“You’re on speaker,” I told Boston.

“Yo, my man. I’m going to need you to get away from my wife and stay away from her. You don’t want to find out what I’ll do to you if you bother her again.”

Boston’s dick must have had some type of magic on it or something, because his menacing tone made me want to suck it. I should be worried that he, in so many words, threatened Victor, but all it did was make me miss him.

Victor swiped his thumb over his nose and nodded.

“Fuck this, I’m out.” He walked around me and headed down the hall.

I waited until he was on the elevator before I opened the door and pushed my luggage inside.

“Harvest, I thought I asked you to call me when you got home,” Boston said after a few seconds passed.

I kept the phone on speaker but put it on the table so I could make sure my door was properly locked.

“I was going to when I got inside, but I had an unwanted visitor.”

“He didn’t get out of pocket, did he?”

I sat down and closed my eyes with my head against the back of the couch.

“No.”

There wasn’t much to tell Boston, because Victor didn’t really say much, and what he said wasn’t worth repeating.

“Good. Hopefully, he takes heed to my warning. If for some reason he doesn’t and tries some shit, his people will be planning a funeral for him.”

Nothing about Boston said punk, but it also didn’t say killer. The tone of his voice let me know that he wasn’t bullshitting. I could only hope that Victor didn’t cause any trouble.

“He won’t. I’m going to get myself settled.”

“I just wanted to make sure you were good. I’ll talk to you later, baby.”

I hung up the phone and just sat back on the couch. Things with Victor didn’t end the way I wanted them to, but they were done. I still needed some time to figure this situation out with Boston, even though it seemed as though he wasn’t letting me go. I really didn’t want to be let go anyway.
