Chapter 10

Chapter Ten

Iwasn’t lying when I told Molly I wanted to be able to smell her on me all fucking night. When I had a message from one of my men telling me Elias was with her in a bar, I saw fucking red. I’ve never wanted to kill a family member. Until tonight.

Of course I didn’t. I’m not a fucking idiot. Killing the heir to De La Sangre Cartel would start a war, one we probably wouldn’t fucking win. There’s also the fact my little sister would be caught in the crosshairs, considering she went and married a fucking Lopez.

Instead, I escorted Elias out of the restaurant.

Then I saw Molly walk into the restroom while looking right at me.

I wasn’t going to leave the woman hanging.

I’m an ass, but not that much of one. Also, there was no way in hell I was passing up the opportunity to make her come.

To remind her just how good I make her feel.

Molly is fucking gorgeous. I’ve noticed how men look at her and I don’t fucking like it. There’s some innate thing inside me that wants to mark her everywhere, so every fucker knows that she’s mine. At least until I’m done playing with her…

After I left the bathroom, I found Elias waiting for me right where I left him outside the restaurant. The fucker has a satisfied smirk on his face and hasn’t left my side since. He’s waiting for me to admit something I’m not going to admit.

“You staying here all night?” I ask, finally getting bored with this shadow thing he’s doing.

“Got nothing better to do.” Elias shrugs. “You got other plans? Meeting up with someone?” He raises a brow.

“Nope.” I shake my head. I have plans of letting myself into Molly’s room later, but I’m not telling this asshole that.

“She’s hotter than I thought she’d be,” he says.

“Who?”

“Molly Olive. Hot, smart, and loaded. She’s kind of the trifecta.”

My jaw clenches. At this point, I wouldn’t be surprised if I’ve chipped a tooth with how hard I’ve been clenching it. “She’s also not yours,” I grunt.

“Is she yours, then?” Elias presses.

“She’s not anyone’s,” I lie. Molly Olive is very much mine. For now.

The door to my office opens, and another cousin walks in like he owns the fucking place.

“CJ, ever heard of knocking?” I call out to him.

“Heard of it, but it’s overrated. I like the element of surprise,” he says.

“That’s going to get you shot,” Elias replies, tucking his gun back into its holster.

“Meh, it’s bound to happen anyway.” CJ shrugs before turning his attention my way. “You might want to come with me.”

“Why?”

“Aiden and Hudson are about to get themselves killed.”

I’m already standing and picking up my phone. “Where are they?” I might give my little brother shit, but there isn’t anything I wouldn’t do for him.

“They’re at the Wild Card. Come on.” CJ walks out of the office, and Elias and I follow behind him.

The Wild Card is one of the many casinos our families own along the Strip. There shouldn’t be anything happening there that is going to end up with our brothers getting themselves killed. I don’t voice this, because I know CJ wouldn’t be here dragging my ass with him if it weren’t needed.

By the time we reach the Wild Card, I’m about ready to walk into anything. What I’m not prepared for is to find my brother and cousin in a roped-off section of the nightclub surrounded by women. Women they very much should not be with.

“What the fuck are you idiots doing?” I ask, stepping over the red rope.

“Partying. Did you come to join?” Hudson asks.

I shake my head at him. “This is how you get killed, not how you party, Hudson.” I point to the women sitting opposite them.

“It’s not what it looks like,” Aiden says.

“Oh, really? Enlighten me, Aiden. What is it then?” I grunt.

“It’s… never mind. It is what it looks like.” He smirks.

“Get up. You two are coming with me.”

“You do know you’re not boss yet, right?

” Hudson grunts out as he stands. He walks right up to us and pulls me into one of those one-hand slap on the back kind of hugs.

“We caught these girls dealing on the floor. That’s why we brought them up here.

I’m waiting for their entourage to show up,” he whispers in my ear.

The girls he’s referring to are known prostitutes.

They work under a Russian pimp, a fucking psychopath.

If he sees them sitting with my brothers, he’ll shoot first and ask questions later.

We’ve had plenty of run-ins with the fucking idiot to know how possessive he is of what he considers his property.

“Fucking hell.” I roll my eyes to the ceiling before landing them in front of me again. “You three, get the fuck out of here,” I tell the women, because I don’t need them to end up as collateral damage in a fight I know is about to go down. “Let’s go,” I tell my brother and cousins.

“Where we going?” CJ asks.

“To find a Russian pimp who thinks he wants to be a drug dealer.”

“Finally, something interesting is happening tonight, other than watching Alfie make the fall from grace,” Elias says.

“What do you mean fall from grace?” Hudson looks to him.

“Alfie’s gone and fallen in love.” Elias laughs.

“Oh yeah, I already knew that.” Hudson shrugs as if it’s no big deal.

I stare at both my brother and my cousin. “I am not in fucking love, you morons.” Then I turn and storm off.

“Oh, he who protests too much and all.” CJ chuckles as he catches up with me. “Who is she?”

I turn my glare on him. “Fuck off.”

“Molly Olive. Hot little thing too,” Elias says from behind us.

I spin around, the gun from my waistband now in my outstretched hand and pointed at my cousin’s head. “Call her hot again, Elias. I dare you.”

“Told you. He’s a goner.” Elias smirks. Reaching a hand out, he shoves my gun downwards and walks right past me.

“Asshole,” I grunt.

It took thirty minutes to hunt down the Russian fucking pimp. I had Hudson and Aiden drag his ass into the back of a van, and now we’re in one of our warehouses on the outskirts of town. There’s nothing around, no one to hear his screams for help.

“Word on the street is you’ve mistaken yourself for a dealer,” I say, walking around him.

He’s currently hanging from rusty chains that are connected to a pair of metal cuffs on his wrists, which are attached to a butcher’s hook that’s nailed to the rafters, the tip of his toes only just reaching the concrete floor.

“Fuck you,” he spits.

“No thanks. I have a much prettier pussy waiting for me tonight.” I smirk as thoughts of Molly flicker through my mind. I’d much rather be in bed with her and that pretty fucking pussy right now.

Elias chuckles from behind us and Hudson looks at me as if I’ve grown two heads. “I knew you liked her. But fuck, man, you really are gone,” my brother says.

Ignoring him, I walk over to the table housing a range of torture implements. I’m not a stranger to inflicting pain on people. I enjoy it, more so when it’s causing a woman to squirm beneath my touch. But this shit needs to be done. I won’t have anyone thinking they can step up on our turf.

I pick up a cattle prod. It’s something my cousin Sammie J brought back with him from Texas.

He went and fell in love with a country girl, Poppy.

She’s perfect for him. But their newly in love stage means I don’t see as much of my cousin as I used to.

He would have enjoyed this, though. He’s got an eye for torture.

“You know, this will go a lot quicker if you just tell me who gave you the drugs, Aleksei.” I walk up behind him, the prod aimed at his feet. The electric shock is excruciating.

“Fuck you, bastard,” Aleksei spits out.

“Okay, remember you chose this,” I say, pressing the prod into the backs of his toes.

His scream echoes off the walls.

“You want to try again? Who gave you those drugs to sell in my city?”

When he doesn’t answer, I press the prod to the back of his calf. Again he kicks out, trying to get away from the shock, and his scream, well, it’s fucking loud.

“Okay, okay, I’ll tell you,” he cries. “It was…”

Before he can say anything, his head fucking explodes. Literally explodes right in front of us. Covering me in brain matter, blood, and fuck me, is that a piece of bone lodged in my cheek?

I reach up and run a hand over my face. Sure enough, something small is embedded in the skin.

“What the fuck was that?” Elias asks.

I look around, first for my brother to make sure he’s in one piece and then at each of my cousins. “What the fuck?” I repeat.

“You’re going to need to see the doc.” Hudson points at me. “Now,” he adds, grabbing my arm and pulling me out of the room.
