Chapter 14

Chapter Fourteen

Isit back in my seat, a practiced smile on my relaxed face. It takes every bit of control not to react the way I want to. She’s joined the mile high club.

“Oh yeah? Who introduced you?” I ask in an easy tone that says I don’t give a fuck. Meanwhile, on the inside, I’m tearing a nameless asshole from limb to limb. It’s an odd sensation. I’ve never been jealous before, of anything, but I’m pretty sure that’s exactly what I’m feeling right now.

“Just some pilot friend of Angus’s I met once.

We were on a layover, our flight was canceled, and Angus has a recreational pilot license.

Anyway, we ran into one of his friends who was flying back to Seattle on a private jet.

He offered to give us a ride. And, well, when Angus was in the cockpit talking to the other pilot, I took his friend for a ride.

” Molly smiles. “It was fun, but really no different from having sex on the ground if you ask me.”

A pilot. She fucked a pilot on a private plane. I press the call button on my armchair for the steward. I need a fucking drink.

“Interesting,” I mutter in response to Molly.

“Sir, what can I get for you?”

“Whiskey, no ice,” I tell him.

“Alfie, it’s eight in the morning,” Hudson says.

I send him a don’t fuck with me look, and he laughs.

“Bro, you need to chill the fuck out. Maybe bring him the bottle,” Hudson says to the steward’s back.

“Are you okay?” Molly asks me.

“Fine,” I grit out.

“Are you all pissed off because I turned down your offer? Or because I admitted to having sex with someone who wasn’t you?

We’re grownups, Alfie. We’ve both slept with other people.

It’s not like I dated the guy. It was a onetime thing.

A bit like this should have been,” she huffs out and then turns towards Hudson.

“Were you there when someone’s head exploded on him last night? ”

Hudson spits out the mimosa he was sipping on. “What?”

He looks at me as if to say: Why the fuck would you tell her that?

I just shrug. I don’t know why I told her. Half of me didn’t expect her to believe it. Half of me wanted to see if she’d run scared. My mind is still reeling back to her comment about how we should have been a onetime thing.

Not only did Molly believe me. She also didn’t seem to care too much.

“Molly, there are people on this plane I’d really prefer not to have to kill,” I tell her. “You can’t just go saying shit like that in front of strangers.”

“But you told me. I’m a stranger.”

I lean in to whisper in her ear. “I’ve seen, felt, and tasted your pussy. You and me are not strangers.”

When I pull away, I see a blush creep up her neck. Good.

“Sorry,” she says. “But were you?” She looks to Hudson.

“I was.”

“How come your face came off unscathed?” she questions.

“Because I wasn’t close enough to the blow.”

“I am curious… How exactly does that even happen?” Molly continues.

“No idea,” Hudson tells her. “So… I hear you’re in town to buy up some buildings that you’re never going to get. What is it you plan on doing with those buildings anyway?” Hudson turns the discussion to her.

I’ve never actually thought to ask her why she wants those buildings. It doesn’t matter. She’s not fucking getting them anyway.

“Well now, if I told you, I’d have to kill you,” Molly whispers. “And unlike this guy, I know when to keep my mouth shut.” Her thumb points to me. “Is there Wi-Fi on this plane?”

“Yes.”

“Good. Can I have the password? I need to get some work done. You don’t mind if I sit here and work, do you?”

“Not at all,” I tell her and stand. “I’ll get your bag.” I had the staff put it away for take-off.

“Thank you.”

“Do you like your job?” Hudson asks her.

“Love it. It’s my life,” Molly replies.

“What do you mean it’s your life? Surely you do other things than just work?”

“Not really,” Molly tells him.

“What about dating?” Hudson smirks at me as I walk back past him with Molly’s laptop bag in my hands.

“I don’t really date much. I’ve tried it. Turns out, men are very intimidated by my success. They tend to not like the fact I don’t need them for anything.”

“You just haven’t dated the right men,” I chime in.

“Really? The fact that my net worth is higher than yours wouldn’t bother you if we were dating?”

“Oh, Alfie is allergic to dating. He doesn’t do that.” Hudson laughs and then closes his mouth when I glare at him.

“I wouldn’t care how much money you have. Because there is something I can give you money can’t buy,” I tell her, and when her cheeks turn pink, I know she got my meaning.

“You really are the trifecta,” Hudson says.

“What does that mean?” Molly asks him.

“Smart, beautiful, and wealthy.” He winks at her. My foot kicks out, hitting his shin. “Ow, fuck.” He groans and rubs at his leg.

“Here. The password is: Giuliani-air,” I tell Molly.

“Thank you.” Molly takes out her laptop and opens it. Before long, she’s engrossed by the screen and tapping away at the keyboard.

I’m on my second glass of whiskey, and about to order a third, when one of the pilots walks out of the cockpit.

“Good morning,” he says and then stops. “Molly Olive?”

When she looks up at him, her mouth falls open and then she quickly closes it and straightens her back. “Uh, hi, how are you?” she asks the pilot.

“Good. How have you been? It’s been a while,” he says.

“Good, busy, you know.” Molly shifts uncomfortably in her seat.

I look from her to the pilot and then it registers. That’s the fucking guy she fucked. I think it clicks in Hudson’s mind at the same time, because he’s suddenly standing. Putting himself in front of me.

“You do know your job is to fly the plane, not chat up my brother’s girlfriend, right?” Hudson asks.

“Ah, I wasn’t… That’s not.” The fucker goes a little pale as he looks at Molly. “It was nice seeing you again, Miss Olive,” he says before he hightails it back to the cockpit.

Hudson falls into his seat. “Just remember, we need that guy alive to land the fucking jet.” He points a finger at me.

Without a word, I get up. Walk into the bedroom and slam the door shut.

Fuck. My hands grip my hair as I pace the small space of the bedroom.

I know she wasn’t a virgin. I know she has a past. I do too.

But fuck, I don’t know why it’s bothering me so fucking much knowing that, that asshole has seen her naked.

I don’t care. I’m not supposed to care. I’ve never cared about anything like this before. Why the fuck do I care now?

The door opens and Molly walks in, closing it softly behind her. “You shouldn’t be here right now,” I tell her.

“Why?”

“Because I’m not in a good frame of mind, Molly.”

“Because I slept with the pilot once a few years ago?” She tilts her head at me.

“Because he’s seen you naked. He knows what it feels like to have your pussy choke his cock. He knows what you look like when you come.” I shake my head.

“First, he doesn’t know. I faked my orgasm with him. Second, why do you even care, Alfie?”

“He couldn’t make you come?” How? She’s so fucking responsive. Making her come is easy.

“Nope.” She shakes her head. “Why do you care?”

“I don’t know,” I tell her honestly. “I’ve never felt this… I don’t know.”

“Jealousy?”

“I don’t know. I just don’t like it,” I admit.

“Okay.”

I stare at her. She’s leaning against the door, and all I can think is that I need to mark her more. I need to make her more mine than she already is.

“You really should go back out there.” I stop pacing and stare at her like she’s my next meal.

“Why?”

“Because what I want to do to you right now, you’re probably not going to like.”

“What do you want to do?”

“I want to mark you. I want to brand you.” I take a step closer to her. “I want to own you.” Another step closer, and then my hand grips her chin, forcing her gaze up to mine. “You should leave.”

“Alfie?”

“Yeah?”

“I’m not scared of you.”

“You should be.”

We’re both staring at each other. Our lips are a breath apart. My chest rises and falls, heavier with the restraint of holding back and not tearing her clothes off and carving my initials into her skin with my knife.

“Make me your good girl,” she whispers. “Make me yours.”
