Chapter Seven Solae Diamond Santiago

Jill Scott’s voice serenaded my house, calming my spirit. Humming to the beat, I moved around my kitchen with ease. Scrambling the eggs in the skillet, I added a pinch of salt and a generous amount of pepper.

Beep.

The espresso machine indicated it was done.

Pulling the cup out with the caramel froth on top I was content.

Dumping the eggs onto a paper plate because I absolutely hated doing dishes, I grabbed my coffee cup that Crown bought me when I opened my shop.

It had Boss Lady in my favorite color, pink, across it.

Reflecting on the call yesterday between me and Crown, the moans he tried his best not to let escape into the phone still replayed in my head.

A tinge of jealousy shot through me, and I didn’t completely understand why.

Crown was like the brother I wished I had. The best friend I told everything to, including my deepest darkest secrets.

Hearing him moan made my body pulse in ways I wasn’t ready to unpack.

I chalked it up to the fact that it had been a long time since I had some good dick, good laughs, and a nice orgasm.
