Chapter 9 #2
Duncan groaned and turned his head to the side.
I leaned down and kissed the side of his neck, pulling a moan from him.
While he was distracted, I pulled out and pushed in some more and Duncan must have been incredibly relaxed because I slid several inches in.
Only a couple more to go and I’d give him some time to adjust. I moved again and again until I felt my body pressed up against his.
When I looked back at Duncan, he was breathing quickly, and when he bit his lip, there were definitely longer and sharper teeth there that hadn’t been there before.
“Tell me what you need from me.”
He looked at me with confusion in his eyes. “I don’t know. Everything. My body is saying wow, that’s full and feels amazing. But it’s also saying why isn’t he slamming into me? But also…my panda suddenly really wants to bite you right there on your chest.”
I grinned at him. “Give me just a few minutes and you can definitely bite. Just don’t yank when you do.”
Whatever Duncan had been about to say was replaced with a loud and long moan as I moved out and then pushed back in.
I could already feel my own teeth tingling along with the base of my cock, and I knew what both meant.
This was going to be a fairly short claiming session, which I’d do everything I could to make up for that later.
But Duncan and I had already had orgasms, and my gorilla was being a greedy asshole, and he wanted the adorable mate to be fully and completely marked as ours.
I moved in and out of Duncan, enjoying all of the sounds he was making, as I slowly increased my speed.
I fought my other half as long as I could, but the need to claim Duncan was too strong and after a few minutes I looked down at my mate and hopefully he understood. “I’ll make it up to you,” I said.
Duncan didn’t say anything, just moaned and threw his head back. I felt his body clamp down on mine and that was what gave me the green light to let go. When I did, I felt my canines drop and the tingle in the base of my cock became so intense my body shuddered.
I felt my knot expand and I leaned down, kissed Duncan’s shoulder just to the side of his neck, and bit down.
When I did, he shouted but it instantly turned into an intense moan.
I froze, the orgasm that swept through my body more intense than anything I’d ever experienced before.
I had the forethought to pull my teeth from Duncan’s neck and then lick over the bite.
When I pushed up just enough to look down at him, I didn’t get a chance to say anything.
He was there in a blink, and I felt his canines sink into my shoulder, just below the collarbone.
Duncan’s moan against it vibrated through me and I felt myself come again.
His teeth were gone a moment later and then his body completely relaxed.
I looked down at him and quickly realized that he had passed out.
I double-checked on him, making sure he was still breathing, and when I felt air under his nose, I felt relieved.
As careful as I could, I wrapped my arms around him and rolled us.
It was a bit difficult, and it tugged on my knot and I hissed.
Duncan groaned in his unconscious state, and I was certain that the tug on my knot had to feel much more painful for him.
I managed to get us rolled over and then held him to me while running my hands up and down his back.
I kissed his hair and sighed. Duncan was mine now.
He was tied to me, and I loved the thought of that.
I could take care of him. Give him things he’d never had.
I had plans to spoil him more than he was imagining, and I was going to start as soon as possible.
Would he want to get married? I knew I did.
I didn’t absolutely need it, but I definitely wanted Duncan to not only be my mate, but my husband.
I wanted us to have it all. I knew it wasn’t going to be easy, but I was going to do whatever I could to convince him that we could have an amazing life together.
Duncan moaned and I kissed his hair again. He turned his head, then seemed to go back to sleep. That was all right with me. I had all day and then well into the evening and night to show him how amazing sexual encounters could be.
I didn’t last nearly as long as I had hoped, but this was Duncan, and he was my mate.
Things were drastically different with him and always would be.
I had no doubt that he had enjoyed himself.
He’d had several orgasms, and that was the most important thing.
He needed to enjoy this more than me, and my hope was that he had.
Duncan’s head moved again, and I felt him nodding. “I enjoyed,” he said quietly.
I froze, my hand on his back stopping just below his neck. “I didn’t say anything,” I said quietly.
Duncan moved his upper body just enough to move from one shoulder to the other and sighed. “Oh. I thought you had.” He sounded incredibly sleepy. “I must have been dreaming.” He was quiet for a moment and then sighed. “So good though. I did enjoy.”
I smiled. “Duncan?” He sighed once more. “Do you know about the mate bond? Did you ever read or hear about it?”
Duncan lifted his head, and when I looked down at him, he looked exhausted. “I know a little. Only what Charlie told me. My roommate never mentioned it. I’ve read some, but so many places say completely different things.”
I nodded. “If I say something to you this way, can you hear me?”
Duncan’s eyes opened a little more and he looked around the room. “Am I dreaming? This happened, right?”
“It did, yes. Did you hear me?”
“Which part? You said it happened.”
“Before that.”
“The part about the mate bond?”
“After that. Did you hear me in your head ask you a question?”
“I did. You asked if I could hear you this way. I thought I was hearing things in my head again.”
I wanted to chuckle at that but knew from Silver’s warning, not to do that while knotted inside your mate.
“That’s exactly what you did. You heard me in your head.
That’s the mate bond. Fated mates that are both shifters have that ability.
Are you comfortable with trying to say something to me through it? ”
“Was that what it was? Really?”
“It was. I know Charlie was completely open to Silver immediately, but he struggled to be able to communicate through the bond at first. It took a day or two, but he got the hang of it. I’ve heard it’s incredibly useful when you’re around others and don’t want them to know what you’re saying.”
“Oh, I could see that. I swear, there’s been a few times I’ve seen Charlie at the zoo, and he has this look on his face. I’m certain now that he was talking to Silver.”
“Most likely.”
Duncan laid his head down on my shoulder and I felt his breath move across it when he let out a sigh. “I don’t know what to say to you. I never thought I would get a mate actually.”
I tightened my arms around Duncan’s shoulders. “Why wouldn’t you get a mate? Everyone has their perfect other half out there somewhere.”
I felt Duncan’s shoulder move and assumed he shrugged. His words though, broke my heart. “I’m not anyone special,” he whispered.
I kissed the top of his head. “You’re special to me,” I told him because he was. Even if he hadn’t ended up being my mate, he was still worthy of having one.
