36. Sebastian
Chapter 36
Sebastian
I’m a kid again, running toward the stairs. No, her. Lil. She’s a little girl, all big eyes and long dark hair. A smile spreads across her face.
“Are you a knight?” she asks.
I grab her hand, and suddenly, everywhere is blood. It’s smeared across her knees, her hands, underneath her nails, and on her face, stark and red against her pale skin.
“Are you a princess?”
“Did my Mommy send you?”
I will never let anything happen to her, not in a million years.
I bolt upright in bed, sweat beading on my forehead.
Lil’s eyes meet mine, her brow furrowed. “What’s—”
I crush my lips against hers, kissing her like she’s the only thing tethering me to reality. My hands fly up, fingers tangling in her silky hair as I ravage her.
Desperate .
Needy.
Her soft lips move against mine, and it’s the salvation I need to calm my racing heart.
Minutes pass, or maybe hours, I don’t fucking know. All I know is I need her. Need to feel her, taste her, breathe her in.
She’s here. Real. No blood.
“Say you won’t leave me.” My chest heaves.
Her eyes dart between mine, and she nods, wrapping her arms around my neck. “I won’t. I promise.”
I bury my face in her hair, inhaling deeply. She smells like me—my shampoo, my soap, my fucking sheets and chocolate.
“I love you,” I murmur against her skin, kissing her temple.
“I love you, too.”
I pause, letting the moment linger before saying, “You know… we could just fucking leave all this bullshit behind.”
Her lips quirk up. “Right, like we could hop on a plane and jet off to some tropical paradise.”
“Where would you want to go, princess?”
She hums, tracing her finger along my chest. “Somewhere with a beach. White sand, crystal clear water…”
“Mmm, I like the sound of that. We could spend all day in the sun, sipping on those fruity drinks with the little umbrellas.”
She giggles, and the sound is like fucking music to my ears. “And at night, we could go skinny dipping under the stars.”
Her naked in the moonlight, water droplets clinging to her soft skin? I let out a low growl. “Princess. ”
“We could make love on the beach,” she whispers, her breath hot against my ear. “With the waves crashing around us.”
My cock is getting painfully hard. “Jesus, Lil.”
“But we’d have to be careful not to get sand in certain places.”
I bark out a laugh, shaking my head. “Always the practical one, aren’t you?”
“Someone has to be.”
I’d go anywhere with her, do anything, as long as it means I see that smile on her face every day for the rest of my life.
I cup her face in my hands. “I meant what I said, you know. About running away.”
Lil’s quiet for a moment, her fingers playing with the hair at the nape of my neck. “It’s a nice dream. But we both know it’s not that simple.”
I sigh, burying my nose in her hair. “One day, princess.”
“Promise?” She snuggles into my chest, her breath tickling my skin.
“Promise.”
Lil’s presence, her touch, her scent. She’s a balm to my frayed nerves. I want to lose myself in her, bury my face between her thighs, and make her forget about everything but my name. My hand drifts lower, palming the perfect globe of her ass. She makes a little noise of protest, and I squeeze, relishing the softness of her flesh beneath my fingers.
“Princess. Let me make you feel good. ”
“I can’t. I have class.” She lets out a soft moan. “You have class.”
“Five more minutes. Please.”
“Fine. But just cuddling.”
My fingers graze the curve of her hips. “Just cuddling. Got it.”
The last few weeks, we’ve fallen back into our old rhythm. Me bringing her dinner at the library, her nose buried in a book, pen tucked behind her ear. Her eyes sparkle every time she looks up.
And then, after studying, my favorite part, we’ll head to my place where she kind of practically sleeps and lives. I’ll barely get the door closed before I’m on her, hands exploring, lips claiming every inch of her skin.
One time, I teased her so much at the library that we both couldn’t take it anymore. So, I dragged her into the stacks, shoved her against the shelves, and dropped to my knees, worshipping her like the goddess she is.
The only annoyance is having to share her with Gemma, Mary, and Jason.
Especially Jason.
But Lil always makes it up to me, coming to my room right after to let me fuck her until we both pass out from exhaustion. Just like last night. Her insomnia is gone, and everything is perfect. So why… the memory.
“Sebastian.” Lil’s voice pulls me from my thoughts. “I really do have to go. ”
“I don’t want to let you go.”
“I’ll be back before you know it.” She gets up, wearing nothing but my t-shirt, the hem barely grazing the top of her thighs.
I groan, my cock twitching at the sight.
She throws me an amused look over her shoulder. “See something you like?”
“Since when are you such a tease?”
“I had the best teacher.”
“Get back here, now.”
“I have class!” Her laugh is music to my ears. “And so do you.”
“They won’t miss me.” I sit up, reaching for her.
She dances out of my grasp, grabbing her clothes. “Nice try. I’m already late as it is.”
I fall back onto the bed with a sigh. “Fine. But don’t blame me if I’m distracted all day, thinking about you.”
“We’ll see about that tonight.” She glances outside, then drops her gaze, her teeth worrying her bottom lip. Fuck, she’s adorable when she does that.
“What’s wrong, princess?”
“I forgot my jacket, but it doesn’t take that long to get to my dorm, so it’s okay.”
Perfect opportunity. I stand up, grab my college jacket with my number emblazoned on the back, and hold it open for her. “Put it on.”
Lil hesitates. “But… ”
“It’s about time, don’t you think?” I arch a brow. “Jason knows. Let’s make it official official.”
A bright smile spreads across her face, and she turns, allowing me to help her into the jacket. It swallows her small frame, but damn if it doesn’t look perfect on her.
She faces me again, surging up on her tiptoes to press her lips against mine.
“Careful, princess,” I murmur against her mouth. “Seeing you in my jacket is dangerous. Turns me on.”
Lil giggles. “I have to go.”
I tug her back, capturing her lips in another deep kiss. I don’t want to let her go. Ever. “I can’t wait for tonight.” I nip at her bottom lip.
“Me neither.”
With one last peck, she’s gone, the door closing softly behind her. I run a hand through my hair, trying to calm the fuck down. But it’s no use. The image of her in my jacket, my number, my claim on her for everyone to see—it’s burned into my brain.
I glance at the clock. Around 8 hours until she’s back in my arms, in my bed. Until I can peel that jacket off her and make her scream my name.
I write my dad a text.
Sebastian: I will not break up with her. It’s time you accept that .
After a quick shower, I head downstairs to the kitchen. Connor hunches over his laptop with a bowl of cornflakes, and Brandon stuffs his face with a sandwich.
The former looks up as I enter, a smirk playing on his lips. “Just saw Lil leaving with your jacket, Bash.”
I grab a mug from the cabinet and pour myself some coffee. “Yeah, and?”
“Just wanted to say it’s about time, man. Good for your relationship.”
“Since when did you become an expert on relationships?”
Brandon takes another bite of his sandwich. “It’s like with me and Naomi.”
I scoff. “Naomi and you barely speak.”
“Baby steps, Bash. Baby steps.”
“Whatever you say, man.”
Connor glances up from his laptop, his eyes narrowed. “What about your dad?”
“He’ll have to accept it.”
“All that matters is you’re happy,” Brandon says.
That is what matters, and tonight, I’m going to kidnap my beautiful princess. We’re long overdue for a real date.
