33. Lena

Incessant buzzing from the nightstand pulls me from my deep sleep. My eyes flutter open to the dim light that filters around the curtains in Devin’s room. I shift, but it’s nearly impossible since I’m wedged between two massive men. Our legs entangled together, their arms draping over me, making us one.

This last week of fucking has me exhausted but fully recharged at the same time. The way that I have more than peeked behind the curtain of these men has shown me that while they are the same in so many ways, they are wildly different. I have never fallen so hard or so fast for anyone, let alone two people. They bring out different parts of me that I either didn’t know I had, or I had locked away a long time ago. The way Tony has claimed me in the shadows shines just as bright as Devin has claimed me in front of other people. Both of their marks are left on my skin and my scarred heart.

I attempt to untangle our limbs, my muscles and skin are blissfully sore, but being the light sleepers they are, they both tighten their holds, clamping me in place. Staring up at the ceiling, I let out a heavy sigh. “You two have to let me go. I can’t stay in this bed forever.”

Devin nuzzles his face further into the crook of my neck, his breath warm against my skin, his words muffled. “See, that’s where you’re wrong, love. We will never let you go. ”

Tony chuckles into my ear, shifting himself against me, his cock already hard against my ass as he pulls me closer to him, running a hand over his bite mark, the sting jolting through me. I wiggle myself loose from his grip, just enough to reach past Devin to the nightstand. His lips graze over my nipple, and for a moment, I completely forgot that I’m naked. This shouldn’t surprise me as much as it does, considering this is their favorite way for me to be now that we’ve torn down each other’s walls.

Naked and ready to be fucked at a moment’s notice.

I gasp at the feel of his warm tongue as it flicks at the now peaked bud, before pulling back and settling between them. My eyes go wide as I take in the time. “Fuck, it’s 3:45,” I gasp out, scrolling through my messages from Bri and Tasha in our group chat.

Devin rolls onto his back, scrubbing his face with his hand. “Well, fuck.” He pulls himself up, leaning against the headboard, grabbing his phone off the nightstand. “I don’t think I’ve slept this long in years.”

Tony rolls away from me, grabbing his phone, the screen illuminating the annoyed look on his face. While annoyed, he actually looks rested. They both do. I guess sex for days on end will finally expel enough energy to make men like them sleep.

His brow starts furrowing the more he looks through his phone. He sits up and quickly gets out of bed. I watch his naked body as he moves through the room, his semi-hard cock already making my mouth water just as he slides his boxer briefs over his toned ass. This should show just how sex crazed these men have made me because seeing them fuck each other, along with fucking me in every position they can contort me to, is the hottest thing I’ve ever witnessed. I always thought I was a one-man kind of woman, but they’ve changed my perspective on everything I thought I knew about myself.

“What’s up, T?” Devin asks, looking up from his phone with furrowed brows .

“Just some things I need to look into.” His clipped, gruff tone doesn’t mask the wariness in his words.

Sitting up, I pull the sheet up with me. “Is everything okay?” My heart starts to race, anxiety crawling over my skin. “You two are kind of freaking me out.”

“Everything’s fine, love,” Devin says as he cups my chin in his hand. He pulls me in for a soft kiss, his tongue sweeping into my mouth, meeting my quiet moan with his. “Absolutely nothing to worry about.”

He pulls away and looks over at Tony who is leaning against the bedroom doorway, the muscles of his bare body tense as he types away on his phone. He looks over his shoulder, his eyes flashing to Devin as he starts a quiet conversation that only they can have. The tension in the room builds up, but not in the way it has been for the last few days with them. Devin slides out of bed, throwing on his boxer briefs, striding out of the room.

Tony is already at his computer, his fingers flying over the keys as Devin takes a seat at his desk, his mouse clicking rapidly. The light filtering through the main living space is dull as I look out the wall of windows and see a storm creeping over the city.

“Is there anything I can help with?” I ask, standing in the middle of the room, unsure of what to do.

“No, baby,” Tony gruffs. “We can handle it.” His voice is tight, nearly dismissive. The Tony who I have shared a bed with, has exited the room, and he’s all business again, closing himself off as he works.

While I may have been na?ve for years with Matt, believing his lies and coverups, I can tell when they’re hiding the whole truth from me. There’s obviously something wrong, because a crane couldn’t have lifted them from that bed before they checked their phones, and they practically sprinted out of it like it was on fire.

I propose a test to see if it’s nothing or if I should be worried. Still wrapped in the sheet, I make my way to the kitchen to brew some coffee. They’re so enamored in their work that when I let the sheet fall to the floor, neither of them even looks over at me. Bastards .

Making their coffees, I deliver them, still in the nude, delicately placing each of their cups on their respective desks and making a show of it. And not even a narrow glance my way. I scoff and Devin immediately picks up his mug, sipping on the coffee. “Delicious, love. Thank you.” I roll my eyes because that is definitely a man’s way of trying to appease his woman without actually acknowledging her. I’ll fucking show them. If they can play games with me, then I can play the same games with them.

I pull out Devin’s chair and straddle him. His eyes flash with annoyance before he takes in my naked body. He groans as I lean back, grinding my center against his cock and cupping my breasts. Playing with my nipples, I arch my back as his hands land on my hips, keeping me in place on his lap. “I take back what I said about the coffee, this is delicious.”

He leans down, taking my nipple between his teeth, nipping at me. I gasp and giggle as he swirls his tongue around the peaked bud. His hands move up my body, and we’re just getting started when Tony clears his throat, causing Devin to jerk his head up, all lust leaving his eyes.

“I hate to interrupt because I would much rather be doing that, but we need to look at something.” Tony's serious tone snaps me out of my horny daze, and I turn to look at him.

Devin’s hand replaces mine on my breast, a devilish grin on his face. “Oh, I have something for us to look at, T.” He chuckles as he kisses my chest.

“I’m serious, Devin.” I pull back, Devin’s head once again coming up to meet Tony’s gaze. “We have multiple cars that have been in the parking lot since early last night. The cameras show people exiting them at various times, but no one has come back for them.”

I cock my head to the side, trying to think with the logical side of my brain, even as Devin mindlessly traces his fingers across my skin, clearly lost in the thought, too. “Maybe they left with someone or took an Uber and haven’t been back for their car. It’s a nightclub, you know?” I try to tease him, but my efforts are lost on him.

Tony keeps typing, the screen zooming in on each car. “Normally, I wouldn’t be this alarmed, but I ran all of the plates, and they came back with fake registrations.” He furrows his brow. “And there’s one in every row, evenly spaced in the parking lot, going diagonal across it.”

“So, it was intentional,” Devin says. His fingers fall from my skin as he stares at the shot of the entire parking lot. “They wanted us to notice.” Tony nods, his hand rubbing against his stubbled jaw.

“But why? What does it mean?” I stand up and cross the room, pulling the sheet back around me. This is no time to be naked and trying to seduce these men when Obsidian is playing one of their games. No, Matt is playing one of his games to try and fuck with me. The unknown texts have sent a very clear message that I can hide in my tower, but eventually, I will need to come down.

“Have you talked to Tasha?” Devin asks. “Has she noticed anything?”

Tony pulls up his phone. “I sent her a message, but I haven’t heard back. Which is odd, because she’s the one who gave me the heads up. She’s usually up and going by now and wouldn’t leave me hanging like this.”

This is all so strange. I check my phone again, noting the time on the group chat, and the last message I received from either her or Bri was around 2:00 a.m. I know my best friend, and if she hadn’t heard from me in over 12 hours, she would have kicked this door down herself and had these men by the balls.

The prickle of anxiety crawls across my skin as I send a message to them, marking as delivered. As soon as the message is sent, Bri’s name pops up on my phone. I quickly answer her call, because the timing is just too weird and my instincts are screaming that something is terribly wrong. “Hey, B. Is everything okay?”

My heart drops as I hear whimpering and a sob as it crackles through the phone. “Lena. Help me .”

I clutch the phone and spin toward the guys. “Bri? Where are you?” Both of their heads jerk toward me, their eyes wide with concern.

I can hear her crying, her words choked. “They have me. I don’t know where I am, please help me.”

I drop the sheet and run toward my room as Tony calls out my name. “B, we’re going to find you. Stay with me, okay?” I yank on sweats and a T-shirt, the phone wedged between my ear and shoulder as I listen to her quiet whimpers. She lets out a scream, and I jump, almost dropping the phone.

“B!” I scream just as the call disconnects. I repeatedly say Bri’s name, panic rising up my throat and nausea roiling through me. My pleas turn into screams as both men crowd the doorway. “Lena?” Devin’s voice is sharp as his hands land on my shoulders, spinning me to him. “Talk to me. Tell me what happened.” Devin’s words are muffled as the sound of my racing pulse rushes through my ears.

“They have her. They have Bri.” I shove my feet into a pair of black tennis shoes. “We have to help her. We have to go now .”

“Lena,” Tony breathes. “I’m running the tracker on her phone to get an exact location. We need to wait for it?—"

I cut him off, my vision blurring on the edges from the anxiety that is now biting at my skin like an army of fire ants. “There’s no fucking time. We have to go.” I screech the words as I rush past them, heading for the door. “I’m not losing another person I love to that fucking monster.”

“Lena, wait.” Devin grabs my elbow, yanking me to his chest.

I wrench my arm from his grip, anger coursing through me. “Aren’t you listening to me? They have her!” My chest rises and falls rapidly, my anger only growing hotter. “If you won’t fucking come with me, then I’ll just go on my own. ”

Tony emerges from his room, dressed in his usual attire, and throws clothes at Devin. “Get dressed,” he grits out. “It’s honing in now and we can start heading across town.”

Devin hurriedly dresses as Tony almost wrenches the door from its hinges, eyes on his phone in his other hand. “You’re not fucking going anywhere on your own. You will only be safe with us .” He cuts a look at Devin. “But she’s right; we need to go now because they like to work quickly.”

And even though they never let me see the footage of Kate, I can only imagine the look of pain and despair on her face right before they pulled the trigger, taking a piece of me right with it. I refuse to let Bri have the same fate.

We file out, riding the elevator down to the garage. My body thrums with adrenaline, ready to take down anyone who gets in my way. The doors open to the garage, and both men exit, walking in separate directions, leaving me standing right outside the elevator, panicked and confused.

“Where the fuck are you going?” Devin’s voice echoes across the garage just as Tony wrenches open the door of an old, white Honda Civic. “We’re not fucking taking that fucking piece of shit.”

Tony turns, eyes turning molten gray. “It’s too old to have any tracking devices, so they won’t see us coming, and you know I souped it up. It’s fast .”

Devin rolls his eyes and lets out a growl as he yanks open the door of the large, blacked out SUV. “Tony, that thing won’t make it across town, and we don’t have time for this. Get the fuck in and we’ll discuss that fucking piece of shit later.”

“Devin, just because you fucking think that you know what’s best doesn’t mean?—"

I scream, the sound bouncing across the concrete, silencing them. “I don’t have time for this fucking shit. Tony, get in the car, and let’s fucking go. Bri’s life is in danger.” I run toward Devin and yank open the back door, sliding in on the driver’s side.

Tony stands frozen as Devin walks around the vehicle in long strides, putting himself into the passenger’s seat. I hear the door to the Civic slam, echoing through the garage as Tony’s boots pound against the ground.

His massive body takes over the driver’s seat, angrily slamming the door shut. He throws the vehicle into reverse and whips it out of the spot, gaining speed as we travel through the garage. The door is barely open as he flies through it. The air in the vehicle is thick, suffocating me as we pull out onto the street.

The sky has just opened up and the rain is coming down in sheets, making it hard to see even as the wipers move as fast as they can. Tony speeds through the streets with precision, even as the car attempts to hydroplane multiple times as he flies through every intersection. I grip the handle on the door and hold on for dear life as Tony races through town.

“Hurry, Tony. Please ,” I plead. He hits the gas to speed up because even though I don’t know exactly where we’re going, he has honed in on it, his GPS guiding us. We make several turns, swerving in and out of vehicles that all feel like they are watching our every move. I can’t shake the feeling that somewhere, someone has eyes on us. But, just like Tony, I’m sure they can see us on CCTV, lying in wait for us to barge in.

The rain comes down harder, thunder rumbling the car. My heart races as we approach an intersection. The green on the stoplight is nothing more than a blurred speck of light through the rain-splattered windshield. The engine revs as Tony accelerates, making sure we make it through the light before it changes.

I close my eyes, trying to think of anything else, but the idea that Bri is in the clutches of the same person who abused me and killed our friend because he fucking won’t let me go rushes through me. They have turned to such violence because he can’t stand the fact that I got away and I’m happy. Genuinely happy for the first time in years. That my life has changed for the better since I took the chance and found myself in the arms of not one, but two men who would burn the world down for me.

Even in this time of crisis, I have never felt more safe and secure than when I’m with them. I believe them when they say that they won’t let anything happen to me as long as they're alive. And I feel a pang in my chest knowing that I would tear down the world for them, too. For the new family that I’ve found inside the club. And in the name of this new life, we’re going to take down the fucker who’s trying to take all of that away from me.

We slide through the intersection and just as we pass under the stoplight, I catch headlights as they come up on my window. The vehicle seems to go deafeningly silent, the world slowing around me. A crunching sound fills the cab, pain prickling across my skin like shattered glass. I grip the handle with all my strength as my body becomes weightless. A scream bubbles up my throat but is cut off as the gravity of the world falls on me, and everything suddenly goes black.
