Chapter 27

Conner

Conner headed back downstairs to deal with Dylan. Dylan showing up drunk to his house was a common occurrence once upon a time, but it hadn”t been in years. He was not feeling very sympathetic to him for multiple reasons. In the morning they were starting their playoff push. Considering Dylan was his agent, he knew how important playoffs were in all aspects of his career. But mostly he was ready to let his brother have it because the terror that fell over Sasha”s face was enough to have him seeing red.

He had always been the kind of guy to stand up for people. His father had instilled that in him. Some truly amazing hockey coaches had shown him how to lead, but he also just had that in him, that ability to lead. But that ability also meant calling out bullshit, and after he told Sasha there was nothing to be afraid of, he was ready to call out his brother”s bullshit.

Dylan was already sitting at his kitchen table, head on his hands with an open bottle of Gatorade in front of him.

“What the fuck, Dylan,” he said as he banged on the table. His head popped up, and when Conner saw the look on his face some of the anger he felt evaporated. Dylan was crying. “What”s up?”

“I think I fucked things up,” he said putting his head back in his hands.

“What things?” he asked, sitting down at the table with him.

“Things with Dan. We were at the bar tonight and we ran into Joey…”

“Joey’s a tool.”

“I know,” he said with a deep sigh and a shake of his head. “But he started going on about how I was in college. Dan never really went through that phase, and I think it was kind of freaking him out.”

“Oh, but Dylan, you”re not a man whore anymore,” Conner said, trying to make light of the situation.

“I know, but I think Dan was kind of freaking out…and Joey. Joey fucking kissed me in the bathroom. Dan walked in and then he walked out of the bar and just left me there. I had to Uber here. I can”t get him to answer any calls or texts. Conner, I think he might be the one, but fucking Joey,” he said as he dropped his head back in his hands and sniffled.

“Damn, I”m sorry Dylan, that”s messed up. Just give Dan some time, that sounds like it was a lot to digest for him.”

“Can I just crash in your guest bed tonight?”

“Umm…” Conner was trying to think of what to say, technically Sasha was in his bed, but all of her stuff was in the guest room. “The guest room is kind of a mess, but you can stay on the couch.”

Dylan looked up at him with curious eyes. Then he looked around the room and there on the kitchen counter was Sasha”s purse.

“Oh my god, do you have company?”

“I do.”

“Conner. You have an overnight guest during playoffs?”

“Playoffs haven”t started yet.”

“Yeah, but you start the playoff push at practice tomorrow.”

Conner just nodded.

“Who is it?”

“We’re talking about you here. Let me go get you a pillow and some blankets.”

“Who is it, Conner?” Dylan asked with a grin.

“Sasha.”

“Sasha, the new social media manager?” His eyebrows flew all the way up.

“I’m not talking about this right now. You’re going to sleep it off and I’ll see you in the morning.”

He went and got the bedding and threw it on the sectional. “Get some sleep Dylan, I”m sure Dan will be ready to talk about things in the morning.”

“Thanks man,” Dylan said, giving him a hug. “You”re a good brother,” he said with a slight slur.

Conner turned to head back upstairs anxious to get back to Sasha. When he walked into his room the sight of her on his bed warmed his heart. She had fallen asleep while working, her laptop was open on her lap, her phone was next to her, and her glasses were still on. Something about this squeezed Conner”s heart.

He walked over to her and moved her stuff on the bedside table next to her. Then he slipped her glasses off and carefully folded them before setting them on the table. He gave a contented sigh as he looked at her. Then he climbed into bed, gently pulled Sasha down with him, and drifted off to sleep.

Early the next morning Conner woke up to an alarm, he reached for his phone, but it wasn”t his. It was six in the morning, and they didn”t have morning skate. They were doing a video review before ice time, so he didn”t even need to be in until nine.

Then he realized Sasha was still in bed with him, and it was her phone. She was already sitting up and shutting it off. It was early, but he liked having her here.

He rubbed her back and she turned to him and smiled.

“What time do you have to be at work today?” he asked before giving over to a big yawn.

“I usually make it in between 8:30 and 9,” she said with a stretch.

“It”s six AM,” Conner said confused.

“It is, I have a routine. Yoga, shower, get ready, breakfast. It all takes time,” she said with a yawn.

“I have a gym in my basement. I usually run on the treadmill if you want to join me. I have a couple yoga mats down there.”

“Yeah, that sounds good. Let me go change.”

Conner got up and threw some gym shorts on and waited for Sasha. She came out of the guest room in yoga pants and a sports bra. Conner”s mouth dropped and felt an instant erection.

“Damn Sasha, warn a guy first,” he said, trying to discreetly deal with his erection that was becoming more and more of a problem.

“Let”s go,” she said, giving him a big smile. She knew what she was doing to him, and she was enjoying it. She was trouble.

“Follow me,” he said as they made their way to the basement. Once they were in the gym he got on the treadmill as Sasha got out the yoga mat. This was a certain brand of torture that he had never quite endured before. Running his twenty minutes on the treadmill while this goddess in front of him bent and twisted herself into all kinds of sexy shapes. He had to say, this was the first time he ever jogged this long with an erection. He would have to take care of himself in the shower because he was all worked up. The way her yoga pants hugged her perfectly round ass was something he wanted to wake up to everyday for the rest of his life.

She finished and rolled up the yoga mat as he got off the treadmill. She looked over at him and if the look in her eyes was any indication, she was just as turned on as he was. He walked over to her, passion stirring inside. Both of them sweaty and gazing at each other with hungry eyes.

He put his hands on her waist and pulled her in for a kiss, she didn”t seem to mind the fact that they were both sweaty. His mouth came down on her and she instantly opened for him, he groaned and pulled her closer to him. He walked them back until he sat on the weight bench and pulled her down on top of him. She sat straddling him and they kissed. She started to grind her hips and he pulled her his closer to him, he didn’t want the first time they had sex to be after a workout in his gym on a weight bench, but he was starting to think maybe it wasn”t such a bad idea as her hands found his hair and she ground her sex into his cock.

“Hey Conner, do you want breakfast?” said a voice that was on its way down the stairs. Sasha immediately hopped off his lap and he moved his hands to cover his erection as his brother made his way into the gym. “Oh right. You have company. Sorry to interrupt.”

“No, you”re fine. I”m going to go hop in the shower,” Sasha said as she slipped right by him up the stairs.

Conner just glared at him. “Dude.”

Dylan just laughed.

“Does your little brother ever stop being a cock block?” Conner asked as he threw a small medicine ball at him.

Dylan caught it. “I’m sorry, I was just offering to make breakfast. Omelets?”

“It”s the least you can do. I”m gonna go shower. Make Sasha”s veggie.” They Both started their way up the stairs. “Are you doing okay?” Conner asked. He was irritated with him, but he knew he wasn”t doing great last night.

“Yeah, Dan messaged me last night. I think we’ll be okay.”

“You guys are pretty serious huh?”

“We are. I”m thinking about moving to Glendale. I travel so much for work there’s really no reason I need to live in the city. I can go in when I need to.”

“Good for you, I”m happy for you.”

“What”s up with you and Sasha?” asked Dylan.

“I’m gonna hop in the shower, I”ll be down for breakfast soon.”

“Avoiding the question.”

Conner just flipped him off and disappeared up the stairs to hop in the shower.
