Chapter 6 #4

His palm crashed down on my backside ruthlessly hard.

I didn’t count how many times he spanked me.

All I knew was that it hurt and that his soldiers were close enough to see every detail of my embarrassing ordeal, including the fact that my arousal was probably glistening on my thighs.

I didn’t protest, only let out pained cries with each hard smack.

When he was done, he deposited me back down on my feet, but tucked my dress in at my waist so that my bare bottom was still on display.

He said nothing as he took the leash once again and led me on board the ship. My backside felt especially exposed, and I could think of nothing but the sight I made. My ass was sore, but the thing that stung the most was my pride.

He walked onto the ship and his fellow soldiers followed.

I made no move to cover myself, knowing that it would probably enrage Talyn further if I did.

I stared at the floor, knowing that the men were probably looking right at my red bottom.

I was only mildly thankful when Talyn sat me down in one of the seats because he didn’t let me cover myself then either.

When I went to fold my hands in a way to hide my pussy, he knocked them aside and slid his fingers between my thighs.

He found my clit and I squeaked in fearful arousal as he began to tease it.

I lifted my gaze to meet his. I wanted to hit him. I wanted to come for him. I wanted to hate him for all the things he’d done to me.

I could do none of those things.

His gaze was dark, but there was something about it that pulled me in. As much as I felt like I should fight him tooth and nail, I knew that he could always subdue me at the end of the day. He was stronger. Faster. Bigger and superior in every way.

I turned my head away, unwilling to face reality.

The rest of his men entered the small space and took their seats as Talyn teased me and my cheeks flushed harder than ever. There was no winning against him, especially like this.

It was almost as if he was a different person when he was in front of his men versus when he was with just me in his quarters.

I pressed my lips together firmly when he finally pulled his hand away from its place between my thighs. I wasn’t sure if I was thankful or furious that he hadn’t made me come.

I sighed quietly as he set about starting the ship. I watched the sequence he typed into the command board, noting it was nearly identical to the one I’d witnessed yesterday.

I smiled slightly at my small victory. I ran it through my head several more times, ensuring I had it thoroughly memorized before I turned around and watched several more ships lift off behind us.

In front of us, a wide metal door lifted, and we surged forward, followed by a brigade of nearly one thousand ships.

There was no way to warn my people what was coming and as we flew toward the northern border of the alien territory, I closed my eyes.

I hoped that today might be a day where my people might be scattered, that some of them may be hunting for supplies, others for game and others poised in hidden encampments throughout the forest.

I didn’t know what the plan would be since my failure yesterday. Perhaps they would regroup or pull back.

It felt like just minutes until the ships were descending toward the ground.

The time it took for their ships to land was brief, and we all debarked the ships together.

Talyn insisted on me accompanying him at his side.

He was rough enough with me that my dress untangled and slipped down, covering my backside.

I didn’t say a word and he thankfully didn’t move to correct it.

He marched me through the trees with his army at his back. We walked far enough where I could feel the exertion in my legs before he lifted his arm and signaled to his men.

The old city of New York was just a little way off. I could see the glint of the vine-covered buildings between the leaves.

Our main basecamp was less than a mile away.

With waning hope, I looked back to see each alien soldier armed with two weapons, one in each hand.

There were no secondhand guns in this army.

Every single one glinted like new. Some of them appeared to be laser powered; others looked like an old flamethrower I’d had the opportunity to fire in the past. There were several that looked like they fired bullets, but their barrels were large enough that I feared what might happen to its target.

Humans didn’t stand a chance.

They marched onward and I had no choice but to go along with them.

By the time we finally broke free from the trees, I was nervously looking back and forth along the decaying streets of the old city.

I saw a flurry of movement in the old bank building on the right side and I chewed the inside of my cheek with anxiety.

For a fraction of a second, I could make out a face in the second-story window before it disappeared in the muck that covered it.

I wanted to shout at them to run, but I didn’t. Talyn grasped my upper arm and forced me forward. He was showing me off as if I was nothing but a war prize. Would they think I was on his side?

I couldn’t live with myself if they thought that.

He marched me forward into the middle of the street.

I tripped on a piece of pavement, but he caught me before I fell.

When he was finally satisfied with our position, he stopped and stood behind me.

The army of aliens at his back stopped several steps behind us.

I knew without a shadow of a doubt that the humans wouldn’t stand a chance against a force this size.

I trembled with fear. Did he plan to kill them all?

“Your people are all around us. You will convince them to surrender if you don’t want them to die,” he whispered.

I tried to jerk away from him, but he was too strong for that. Unable to run or escape him, I did the only thing I had left.

“Please listen to me! Surrender to Commander Talyn. Please. He’ll kill you if you don’t!” I shrieked and Talyn slid his hand around my waist protectively. His fingers grasped at me, and I was unable to pull away. He squeezed so tightly that I could only pull in a shallow breath.

One person walked out of one of the buildings and when I saw who it was, a small beacon of hope blossomed to overcome my overwhelming dread.

“General Negan, please. Surrender. I’m begging you!” I wailed, and his face hardened. He stared at me with open curiosity, his gaze going back and forth from me to Talyn with growing hatred and I didn’t understand why.

“Traitor,” he finally said, his voice filled with complete loathing.

Time seemed to come to a screeching halt as he pulled a gun out of his jacket and leveled it in our direction.

The gun wasn’t aimed at Talyn. It was pointed right at me.

His betrayal struck me like a slap across the face. All my life, I had followed his directives. I’d trained to be a good soldier. I’d respected him and he’d shown me in a fraction of a second that none of that had ever meant anything at all to him.

He meant to kill me.

“Wait! General Negan, please. Give Commander Talyn your word that you will surrender, and he will let you live,” I pleaded.

Negan shook his head. “I’d rather be dead than a damn alien slave,” he spat.

He didn’t even pause before his finger squeezed the trigger.

I stood there frozen in shock as the gun fired. Talyn reacted first and grabbed me around the waist, forcing himself in front of me. His body jerked hard. His grunt of pain was audible, and I cried out knowing that he’d taken a bullet for me. He’d saved my life.

More shots came from the human resistance and a part of me shattered.

Talyn roared with rage and the aliens behind him answered with equal fury.

In an instant, the world ignited in a whirlwind of flame.

The front-line alien soldiers were equipped with guns that spat great balls of fire.

The thick decaying vines that encased the buildings all around us flared up like dry tinder and the accompanying scream from a human man that had been too close echoed with deafening horror.

The bank blazed red hot. It was mostly made of dry rotten wood, lighting up with ease. The metal décor around the door was reddening in color, glowing brighter with every passing second.

Negan and a group of people gathered in the center of the street in opposition to us. The ground was broken and unsteady, but they marched forward toward the aliens with what they probably thought was unending courage and fortitude.

It was foolish. There was no way for them to win this.

I wished they would just escape. I prayed that they’d turn tail and run, but they didn’t. Faces I’d known since I was a young girl stared at me with hatred so visceral that I hoped that a black hole would open and swallow me whole right in front of them.

I shrieked at them to escape. They didn’t listen. They just glared at me that much harder.

General Negan was the first to die.

The aliens moved in front of me and Talyn, raising their weapons and firing without mercy. Gunshots burst loudly at the same time as lasers whizzed forward. One by one, I watched my comrades fall to the ground.

The carnage was swift and vicious.

One man’s head snapped back, a brutal shot right between the eyes bringing him down to the ground in a heap. A fireball encapsulated another. Several more lost limbs to wayward laser shots, spraying bright red blood all over the ground.

It wasn’t long before the broken road was slick with it.

I hadn’t had many friends in my renegade group of humans, but we’d all worked together to make sure we survived each day. Seeing them ripped apart like this was more terrible than anything I could have ever imagined, but knowing that they’d turn their backs on me like that was far worse.

I started to sob.

Talyn clutched at me, protecting me with his body as I broke.

I knew that he was a monster, a conqueror that would stop at nothing to defeat those that dared stand against him. He was what I’d fought against my whole life, but here I was clutching at him like a lifeline that would save me from drowning.

In that moment, though, his arms brought me comfort.
