8. Chapter Eight
Chapter Eight
Griffin’s Beach Marnie
T aking a deep breath, Marnie squares her shoulders and walks into the clubhouse. She’s been inside this building less than a handful of times, but she was told Lex would be here tonight.
I guess she’s here more often than she was in the Summerville clubhouse.
The moment she looks around, she sees Venom with a black-haired woman who looks like the definition of crazy perched on his lap. She eye-fucks Marnie, and it gives her a small bit of satisfaction. This woman wouldn’t be so put out seeing Marnie if she wasn’t seen as a threat.
Seeing him with her hurts, but she can’t say she doesn’t deserve the punishment after what she put him through.
Late at night, hearing the pain in his voice as he told her that they couldn’t continue doing what they’d been doing plays in her mind on a loop.
It’s hard to sleep, and she knows the only way to move past it is to make it right. Or go out in a blaze of glory trying.
Lex looks up at her, and there’s surprise on her face as Marnie stands in front of her table. She sits with a few women Marnie doesn’t know but recognizes. “What are you doing here?”
“Can we talk?”
Scrunching her nose, Lex looks her over as though scrutinizing everything about her. Not since high school has Marnie felt as though she’s not quite cool enough to talk to the popular kids, and just when she’s certain Lex will tell her to fuck off, she nods and stands.
The movements make Marnie question if Lex was in a car accident. Her face shows a small bruise covered by makeup, but she’s not as gracefully in her movements as she normally is.
They walk into the Chapel, and Marnie feels uncomfortable. This would never fly in Summerville, but she supposes there are perks to being the President’s wife. “What’s up?”
“I moved to Griffin’s Beach a few weeks ago.”
In this light, the bruising is more visible on Lex’s cheek, and Marnie wants to ask what happened. If things were different, she would, but she has no right to ask that. Not yet. Maybe one day they’ll get to a place where she can.
“I heard,” Lex says and shifts to sit on top of the table. Another no-no.
There’s something different about Lex. Not just the fact that she took some type of beating, but the air about her is different. And it’s incredibly intimidating.
Swallowing, Marnie refuses to drop their gaze. “Venom told you?”
“Yep.”
“What did he tell you?”
“That you moved to Griffin’s Beach.”
Yep, she’s the daughter of a biker, all right. “That all?”
“What do you want, Marnie? Why are you here? And I’m not just talking about this town but this clubhouse. Right now. Talking to me.”
“I need Venom to see that I know I screwed up. I don’t think he believes me, but I meant it when I said I wasn’t giving up. Not until he can look me in the face and tell me he doesn’t love me. Until then, I’m going to do whatever I can to prove I’m in this. I want him, and I want us.”
The look Lex gives her makes Marnie want to curl up into a ball in the corner and hide until she leaves, but she refuses to back down. She needs the curly blonde who happens to be Venom’s best friend to know that she’ll do whatever it takes in order to win him back.
“That doesn’t explain this little pow-wow.”
“Part of making things right with him means I need to make things right with you. And I want to do that.”
“Hurting someone I care about will never be okay, and you’re lucky I didn’t drop you where we stood during the few confrontations we had.”
Tears sting at her eyes. “I love him, Lex. I was just too stupid to see it before it was too late, but I can’t give up. If that means I have to do something humiliating to get back on your good side and show him how much I’m willing to do, so be it.”
“ Back on my good side? Girl, you have only ever been on my bad side. At least, once you appeared on my radar with that shit you pulled with Venom,” she says, her eyebrows raised.
“I’d like to be on your good side. Do you need me to beg? I’ll beg.”
“He’s moved on, you know.”
Seeing Venom with another woman makes her sick to her stomach. “He still loves me. He told me he does, and until that love goes away, I don’t care who he’s with. I’ll do whatever it takes to prove I’m here for him. That I’m the one he should be with.”
“Her name’s Cinder.”
“I don’t care.”
“You should. She’s crazy as shit,” Lex says, and it feels more like a warning about the woman rather than a warning to stay away from Venom.
Shaking her head, Marnie stands even straighter. “I don’t care. I’m not scared.”
“You should be. I wouldn’t put it past that girl to cut you just for blinking wrong.”
“I’m not here to talk about Cinder. I’m here to talk about what you need from me to make things good between us. What do you need me to do?”
Lex hops off the table and shrugs before opening the Chapel doors. “I’ll let you know.”
That’s better than being told to go fuck herself. Sighing, she walks into the main room and locks eyes with Venom before leaving out the front door. Tonight isn’t the night to get into a fight with his crazy girlfriend. Especially without knowing if anyone would jump in to help save her.
Time to go home and drown my sorrows as I cry myself to sleep.
Griffin’s Beach Venom
“ W hat the fuck did she want?” Cinder asks.
“To talk to me,” Lex says and sits back down at her table.
There’s an air of indifference about Lex as she gives his girlfriend the cold shoulder, and Venom is dying to know what Marnie wanted, too. He doubts she’ll tell him. All part of this master plan of having him decide his own destiny.
“About what?”
“That’s between me and her.”
“And I want to know what the fuck’s going on,” Cinder demands.
Eyebrows raised from everyone around them, Venom included, shows the shock at Cinder’s audacity. Lex turns and faces her. “You can want all you want, hunny, but it doesn’t change a damn thing.”
“That woman is testing me,” Cinder mutters and looks at Venom. “What the fuck was she doing here?”
“Did you see me go into that room? No, I’ve been your chair this entire night, so I have no fucking clue.”
“I saw that look you two shared. You wanna fuck her? Go ahead, but just know I will slit her goddamn throat.”
His hands wrap around her neck, and he squeezes with enough force to stop her talking. “Touch her, and I’ll call in every favor I have to make sure it’s the last fucking thing you ever do.”
“You still love her.”
“I’m with you, so get out of your fucking head. It’s dangerous enough when you’re not a possessive twat.”
The way he talks to Cinder would never be how he talks to Marnie. Fuck, I really can’t love Cinder, can I?
The insult makes Cinder smile, though. “You have no idea how right you are.”
Releasing her throat, he relaxes. He’s focuses on Lex and tries to figure out what happened to her face. Everyone who may know seems to be keeping their mouths shut, including her, and all he knows is that it was likely some type of fight. But with who?
Shep and Heidi join the rest of them in the room, and Venom gets pulled from his thoughts when Heidi points to Cinder. “You know her?”
“Don’t point your fucking finger at me,” Cinder calls, jumping off Venom’s lap and standing. “I will tear you from limb to limb.”
“Sit the fuck down,” Shep snaps and steps between the two women.
The one thing Venom can’t stand about Cinder is her quick trigger. She has no control over her emotions, and she goes from one to a hundred in less than a second.
“Watch how you talk to me, asshole.”
“No, you watch how you speak to him,” Heidi says, stepping around Shep and pushing him behind her.
“I will rip out your fucking throat.”
Melanie jumps up and stalks over to them. “I’d like to see you try.”
“What’s this? A two-for-one special on whores?”
Standing, Lex walks over and grabs Cinder by her hair, tossing her back towards Venom who catches her as she falls into his lap. “Take her to your apartment and stuff her mouth with something, will you? I’d like a fight-free night.”
“One of these days, Lex…”
She bends down to level herself with Cinder, a murderous smirk on her face.
“One of these days, what? You want out of this place? I can make that happen. Get yourself in check because you’re not an old lady, but you’re stepping to us as though you think you are.
You’re a glorified club bunny, and if you think I don’t know that little secret you don’t want getting out, you’re as stupid as your temper is short. ”
Eyes wide, Cinder tries not to back down. “Is that right?”
Lex just nods towards the hallway to his apartment, and Venom has no choice but to bring her back to his place. He wishes she’d just kick Cinder out and save him the trouble of having to decide anything, but he knows Lex won’t do it unless her hand is forced.
“Let’s go,” he says, and Cinder follows obediently behind him.
Once in the apartment, she says, “I only—”
“Shut your fucking mouth unless my cock’s shoved inside it, got it?” he growls, sick of her running off at the mouth.
Snapping her mouth shut, she nods with a delighted smile.
“Strip.”
No fight. She takes off her dress to reveal only a pair of black, lace panties underneath, and she shimmies out of them. The need for a bra disappeared the day she got her implants that look a bit more natural than Melanie’s, but not by much.
“Get on your knees and take off my pants.”
Doing as she’s told, she looks up with wide, doe eyes that contradict her wicked smile. When she frees him from the fabric, he’s still flaccid.
“Make it hard.”
Her fingers wrap around his shaft and stroke him slowly. When it doesn’t do anything to help, she puts his tip into her mouth to get the job done.
He stares at her as she works him even though he’d like nothing more than to close his eyes and imagine someone else.
Instead, he grabs her hair and thrusts as far as he can go.
She gags, but they both know she likes it rough.
Her spit coats his cock and drips from her mouth as he continues to fuck her mouth, the tip hitting the back of her throat.
He stops just as he’s about to find his release.
She needs to be taught a lesson.
Pushing her back, Cinder’s forced to release him. “Bend over the dresser and spread your legs.”
She doesn’t hesitate to follow orders and shake her ass in the air, ready to take him before he finishes slipping the condom on. Her pussy glistens, and he knows she’s ready. She’s always ready, but he has to be strategic to make this work.
He shuffles towards her with his pants still caught at his ankles, and he slams his covered cock into her, her pussy taking all of him with one fast thrust. She whimpers as he fucks her in an unrelenting tempo, his hand smacking her bare ass hard enough to turn the pale skin red.
This woman needs a reality check. In this clubhouse—and this relationship—she’s not the alpha. And until she can learn to keep her mouth shut, she needs to be punished.
“You make it hurt so good,” she moans. “Yes, daddy.”
He’s never really been turned on by the whole daddy kink, but he decides to pick his battles tonight. He’s already going to be the biggest asshole as he fucks the defiance out of her.
Grabbing her hips with both hands, Venom moves at a frenzied pace to find his release. Tonight, he’s not concerned about her pleasure. The only way Cinder will learn anything is by denying her of it.
Her breathing picks up, and her muscles start to clench as he comes hard into the condom, stopping before she can find her own climax. Stilling behind her, he catches his breath and pulls out.
Cinder turns and hops onto the dresser, expecting him to fall to his knees and take her into his mouth to finish her off. Or use his fingers. Instead, he takes off the condom and pulls up his pants.
“That’s it?”
“Did you earn it?”
Jaw dropping, she gapes at him. “I didn’t hit anyone.”
“You almost did. Threatened three people in the span of minutes. You need to understand you’re not in charge here, Cinder.
You’re not at the top in this clubhouse.
Hell, you’re not even in the middle. Until you can get that through your head and act right, you don’t get to come from my cock, my hand, or my mouth. ”
“That’s just mean.”
“And you’re a raging bitch,” he says. “Seems fitting.”
She juts out her jaw in defiance and reaches between her legs to rub herself furiously. “Fine. I can get myself off.”
“Go for it,” he says and walks to the door. “Have fun.”
Something hits the back of the door as he shuts it behind him, but it makes Venom chuckle rather than anger him. That was kind of fun. She’s used to being the dominant one, but that won’t work here. And she’ll never fit into his world if she refuses to learn that lesson.
“It’s up to you now. Are you going to stick around or get kicked out?”
He hopes for the latter, but he can’t bring himself to call it off. He doesn’t trust himself right now.
