Chapter 4
ALLY
PAST
My boyfriend’s hot. I know that. He knows that. Damn near anyone who sees him would agree with that statement as well.
But, while my boyfriend is easy on my eyes, he does very little else for my body unless we count helping me become a better actress. I just assumed that’s how it was for everyone. I figured the relationships and sex I saw in TV shows or books were just fiction…until now.
Nothing could’ve prepared me for the moment I walked into Levi’s new apartment for the first time and got to meet his new roommates.
Two of them.
Two hot hockey player roommates who looked like they’d dropped straight out of a Sports Illustrated magazine. Both were stupidly attractive, but one of them? Holy. Shit.
His one roommate is what wet dreams are made of.
The kind of man who makes you clench your thighs together, both cursing and praising the way it only amplifies the feeling on your clit, or at least that’s how it feels right now.
As if I’ve been transported into an alternate reality where being in the presence of someone this hot makes me feel like I’m about to orgasm.
I’m practically praying to god, wishing on every star possible, that the whole world, specifically my boyfriend, Levi, can’t tell how turned on I am from just being in their presence.
It’s not my fault though. Just their presence standing in the kitchen with me while Levi gets changed to take me out to dinner is unnerving.
“So, Ally, how long are you visiting?” the other roommate, a tall, fit, blond with stern gray eyes asks me, and I feel both their stares bounce to me. I think the one asking the questions said his name was Nash, but I honestly couldn’t tell you since I was too busy sneaking glances at Cooper.
“Just until Monday. I’ve gotta get back home.
” I don’t want to elaborate. I still haven’t decided if I’m even going to college, so I’m just going back home to help my parents and my uncle until I figure it out.
He watches me for a moment, and I think he’s going to push, to ask more questions as he watches me, his fingers drumming on the counter along with “Ocean Avenue” that’s playing from the speaker in Levi’s bathroom.
“That’s fun. Are you coming to our game tomorrow night?” Nash asks, and I nod.
Hockey may not be my favorite, but I’m not a monster. I’ll go watch my boyfriend play and pretend I know what’s happening. For someone who’s grown up around the sport, I’ve never truly taken the time to understand it, just nod and smile and call it a day.
“Well that’ll be fun. Has Crosby given you his jersey yet?” the hot roommate, Cooper, says, and I inwardly curse myself at the nickname that I so easily came up with. It’s not my fault he’s so hot.
But that just makes it so hard to be nice to him because what if everyone can tell how attractive I think he is.
“Uh…no, he hasn’t,” I say with a shrug. The two of them exchange glances before they both stand up.
“It was really nice to meet you,” Nash says as he looks between me and Cooper before turning to head outside, finally heading to the gym like they were trying to do before we got here.
Now I’m along with Cooper, and I just stand there as he watches me, his shaggy brown hair all messy, and I want to lean in and mess it up, run my fingers through it.
What is he doing to me?
“It really was nice to meet you,” Cooper says with a grin, pausing as he looks over at me, a little twinkle in his eye as he watches me before knocking his fist on the table. “And Ally, if Crosby doesn’t put his name on your back—tell me. I will.”
And just like that, he was gone. Following Nash out the door and taking all the air with him.
