Chapter 16

Roan

It was nice to not have to leave the house, and the best part was that Pope was finally going to sit down with them and go over the kink questionnaire he’d spoken with them about.

Four copies sat on the coffee table attached to clipboards and pens he’d tested first to ensure they worked.

Roan was looking forward to seeing what was on it and getting to ask questions, because there were things he’d heard about that he was not sure he fully understood.

Pope sat in his recliner sipping coffee while he waited for them to pick their spots and get settled after the meal of scrambled eggs, steak bites, and fruit salad he’d prepared for breakfast. Danger sat in the recliner across from him, while Ocean sat beside Roan on the couch, which tended to be the spot they gravitated to, so they could recline against one another.

Pope slid one clipboard across the table to Danger before passing the other two to Ocean and Roan.

“Before we get started, let me just explain what it is you are looking at,” Pope began. “This is a comprehensive BDSM questionnaire. The first column lists an activity or practice within the community. If you don’t understand what it is, this will be the time to ask.”

“Oh good,” Roan breathed, “because just glancing at this, I’ve already got questions about what boot worship is, exactly, like, is it where the other person gets pleasure out of shining your boots?”

“In part, yeah,” Danger replied. “But it goes much further than that and can extend to licking, kissing, and even using the boot as a means of getting off.”

Roan needed a moment to consider the possibilities, images swimming through his mind. “O-ohhh.”

“We’re going to work our way down the list, starting at the top,” Pope said.

“With the second column being where you’ll put your experience with that particular kink.

Giving, receiving, both, no experience and no desire to experience, curious but no experience, or want to experience but haven’t had the opportunity to do so.

There’s no shame, no judgement, and no reason for you guys to feel embarrassed about anything you like or don’t like.

This just lets us see where our tastes and experiences line up and gives me an idea of what you’re interested in. ”

“Don’t you already know all of Danger’s?” Roan asked. “Since you guys were together before?”

“No, because things may have changed,” Pope explained. “Which is why we are all going to do it together, so nothing is assumed.”

“Now, column three is where you mark the things you’re willing to have done to you; that’s why it says receive.

While column four, that’s labeled giving, is where you’ll mark the things you are willing to do for others.

I don’t want you to just put checkmarks, though.

I want you to either put no, if it isn’t your thing, or a number 1-5 rating how you feel about that activity, with five being a rating of go and one being, Meh, it isn’t high up on your list of desires. Is everyone clear on all of that?”

“Yeah,” Ocean replied. “Makes it easy, actually, that they have things broken down so specifically.”

“It’s super clear,” Roan said after skimming the first page of his list.

“Perfect, in that case, we can start working our way down the first page, and like with boot worship, if you have a question, make sure you ask it.”

Almost as one, their heads bent over the questionnaires, though Roan did glance up from time to time, worried about taking too long, only to see that each of them was taking their time and even pausing between some of the questions.

Ocean chewed on the cap of his pen, while Danger occasionally tapped his against his knee.

“Umm,” Ocean hummed a few minutes later, head cocked as he studied the questioner. “Bukkake. It says jerk-off target. Does that mean getting covered in cum? Like being at the center of a circle jerk?”

Danger snickered, while Roan snorted, because damn, that sounded hot as hell and now he couldn’t stop thinking about it.

“That’s exactly what it means,” Pope said.

“Okay, I’ve done that before,” Ocean admitted. “And I would love to do it again with the three of you.”

“Well, I’m sure that can be arranged,” Danger replied. “Care to tell me what you got out of it, just out of curiosity?”

“Felt good being painted with their release, seeing the looks on their faces, catching some on my tongue, feeling the hot splash against my body. I came all over myself too and added to the mess. It was thrilling to be the target, ya know. They were all focused on me, even if they weren’t touching me. ”

“I know exactly what you mean,” Danger admitted. “I love it too. I was just curious to see if it was for the same reason, and it is.”

“Cool. We can take turns being the target then.”

“We certainly can,” Danger replied.

“I-I wouldn’t mind taking turns,” Roan said. “I’m super curious now to see what it would be like.”

“Go ahead and mark that down with a five, then,” Pope encouraged. “I promise you’ll get your chance.”

“Thank you!”

He was so excited he was squirming, a big smile on his face as he noted that on his sheet.

“This is one of the many reasons I’ve always loved the questionnaire and insist upon it with long-term partners,” Pope explained.

“In time, we’ll come to know exactly what gets one another off, and part of reaching that point is taking all the time we need to work through the pages.

I’ve got some hard passes on the list and I’m curious to see if they are firm no’s for you guys too. ”

“I’ve definitely got a few things I won’t even consider,” Ocean said, and for the first time since they’d met Roan saw him blush. “But they’re not many.”

“Yeah, I don’t have many either,” Danger said. “But the ones I do have are non-negotiable.”

“Same,” Ocean declared.

“When you say hard no, that’s the same as a hard limit, right?” Roan asked. “Or does that mean they need extra negotiation?”

“Hard no’s are hard limits, and they are always non-negotiable unless you bring up the subject and want to discuss exploring yours,” Pope explained. “But you’re never to ask to negotiate someone else’s.”

“I won’t,” Roan promised.

“Neither will I,” Ocean said.

“You know where I stand on that,” Danger said.

“But they don’t, so maybe you should tell them,” Pope suggested.

Danger’s expression looked grim, leaving Roan with a funny feeling in his belly like he might not want to hear what Danger had to say.

“You’re right,” Danger said at last. “Before I was with Pope I was with someone who constantly pushed me to let him explore things I’d expressly said I didn’t want to try.

Eventually I started giving in, but instead of being happy with that, he kept pushing.

Pope saw, and stepped in, and that was pretty much it between me and that guy.

Needless to say, I’ve got strong feelings about pushing limits and would never do that to you guys. ”

“Fuck, that’s bullshit, no one should do that to anyone,” Ocean said.

“You’re exactly right,” Pope said. “I’m glad we’re all in agreement about that.”

“I am too,” Roan said before turning his attention back to the clipboard.

“So, I’ve danced in cages before,” Ocean mentioned several minutes later.

“And I’ve curled up in one to nap on a big throw pillow.

But on the sheet, it says locked in. That part I’m iffy on.

I’ve never done it. I’d be willing to try it with you.

I’m just not sure how to mark it for a rating.

I put curious. But I’m not super curious.

The number ratings after the second one talks about how much you like it, but I can’t say I like it if I haven’t tried it. ”

“Hmm,” Pope murmured, stroking his chin. “You’re right, you can’t rate it, but you can make a note next to it explaining exactly what you just told me. That way, we can explore it when you are ready to. Did you enjoy sleeping in the cage?”

“Very much so. I was tired and the place was so busy, but one of the handlers said it was a quiet space, and no one would bother me if I went in there to take a break since everyone knew it was like a time out without being in trouble.”

“Do you think you’d want one of your own?” Danger asked.

Ocean’s eyes lit up as he nodded. “Yes, please. Especially for when I’m getting overwhelmed but still in pup space.”

“Write all of that down for me, please,” Pope encouraged, “even if you need to use the back. That way, we can see about a cage when we’re at Mischief in Leather.

They’ve started ordering them special from the guys over at the metalworking place, and let me tell you, they are far bigger and sturdier than ones you can find in a store. ”

“I-is there space for something like that?” Ocean asked, glancing around.

“There is always room for expansions,” Pope replied. “With four of us, a proper play space is in order. I’ll have Wreck work up some schematics once we have a better idea of everyone’s needs. The bedroom could be a bit bigger too, so, yes, there will be space for a cage.”

Roan glanced at Ocean, who looked as dumfounded as Roan felt.

“Problem guys?” Danger asked.

“B-but…” Roan stammered.

“I-isn’t that…expensive?” Ocean said, “Y-your house is awesome as it is.”

“And it will be even more awesome with a bedroom that will comfortably fit all four of us and space for the equipment I’ve always wanted to furnish a home dungeon with,” Pope explained.

“The only reason I hadn’t done it already was because they would just have sat empty and depressed the hell out of me every time I walked past the doors. ”

“Oh,” Ocean murmured. “Then, by us being here, you’re finally getting what you want too.”

“Exactly,” Pope said. “Mutual benefits. That’s what we’re after here. I’m glad to see you’re getting it.”

“It would be cool to have a playroom and a few toys,” Roan admitted.

“I actually enjoy sleeping in a cage,” Danger said. “So better make sure Wreck draws in enough space for two.”
