Charisma

NATE AND I had been dancing around one another since he ate me out in the casita.

Some women swore men ate them like their last meals but that wasn’t how Nate devoured me.

Not like his last meal but like I was his favorite.

One that he decided he would have again and again and still wanted to savor each mouthful because that’s just how delicious I was to him.

He had me riding his face for almost an hour before I tapped out.

I was sure that I was going to get put through the wood floor of my place but he kissed me goodnight and told me he would see me in the morning.

He’d played everything cool over the last week and I was unsure if we were moving forward or if it was just a fluke.

The way that horse girl rolled up in here acting like she owned the place I was wondering if this was some of that Rodeo Romeo bullshit coming through.

But he’d made sure to put her in her place in front of me and then came back to talk to me afterward to ensure my feelings weren’t hurt by how she behaved.

I was finishing the latest schedule update when he appeared in the door as though my mind had conjured him up. “You ever been on a horse?”

I was happy his question wasn’t about work but it was still not the subject I thought we would be discussing after everything.

I leaned back in the ridiculously comfortable but equally overpriced chair that he insisted I buy.

Nate was someone who was big on creature comforts and he didn’t care what he had to invest to insure that his people were taken care of.

“No. I’m a quintessential city girl. A southern city girl, but city nonetheless.” Growing up in the Florida panhandle during the property boom meant that there was expansion happening my entire life.

He grinned but stayed in his spot, leaned against the door, smiling at me from beneath his hat.

His hair was in a long braid that hung down his back.

It faded into the black of his t-shirt, which he’d paired with dark denim jeans and black boots.

I realized that was Nate’s signature especially while he was training.

“Seems like we gotta change that. I practically live on a horse, you gotta get up to par, baby.”

“Do I? I didn’t see this in the list of job duties.”

“Consider it an add on like your pay increase, your title, and the art brokering you’ve been doing.”

“You’re not giving me much of a choice are you, Bucky?”

He grinned and shook his head. “Nope. Come and get your pretty ass on this horse, Charmy. Pistol is waiting right out front to see you.”

“You can’t just direct someone to get on a horse when one has never been on a horse. It doesn’t work like that.”

He huffed and then he walked around the desk and held his hand out.

He knew I wouldn’t deny him and he wasn’t wrong.

As soon as I put my hand in his, he pulled me up from the chair and held me close to him.

I could tell that he’d been training hard because his natural scent and his cologne was mixed with the smell of sweat. I even found that desirable.

“I don’t like how you been moving with me, Charmy.”

“Me? You out here slurping folks up like you’re dying of thirst and then it was just business as usual when I saw you again. I don’t like mixed signals, Nathaniel.”

He smiled at the way I was attempting to reprimand him when he clearly didn’t see me as a threat.

“I’m sorry, Charisma. I was trying to play shit cool.

Be low-key ‘cause if anyone thought to think less of you because of what we did I was gonna lose my shit. But I could see how that might have had you believing the worst in me.”

“That’s not all, Bucky.”

“What?”

My hands went to my hips. “That’s not the only reason you were acting like that. There’s no reason to lie. You make it seem like you want something that’s more than superficial. That I’m more than a passing fancy—”

“You’re the very best parts of my every desire in human form, Charisma.” He said it in that sweet, forceful, girl stop playing with me kinda way that had me melting.

“And that’s what I mean. You say this and then you move funny. If we’re supposed to be something, you have to be honest.”

His head dipped slightly, “I was feeling bad.”

“About what?”

“About the fact that you’re not a hundred percent mine to even have in that way.”

Oh. Fuck.

I’d been in my head for so long that I’d completely forgotten about Trent. Had only brought him up to slow down the feelings I was having. And now my ass was sitting here mad at Nate because he had morals out of the two of us.

“You really about to force me on your horse?”

“Odd segue but yeah, I am.”

“Then we can go outside and talk once I get over my fear.”

He pulled me toward the door smiling and I guess we’d made it through our first issue. At least the first part of our first issue.

“Ain’t no reason to be afraid of Pistol. He’s like a bad ass toddler. Now Riot’s ass I ain’t e’en gone hold you. He’d probably try to buck you off.” He opened the door and sure enough, Pistol was standing there looking at us like what took y’all so damn long?

I took my hand back and folded my arms over my chest glancing between him and his big ass horse. It was hilarious how the two of them acted. They had the same kind of playful relationship like Nate and his brother. Even now Pistol was pushing him with his nose as if to demand he hurry the fuck up.

“And that’s supposed to instill confidence in me? What am I supposed to get out of that?”

“That I wouldn’t do some shit that would ever put you in danger. If you act scared then he’s gonna be scared. Get on this damn horse, Charmy.”

“Nathaniel—”

“Why are you calling me by my whole damn name?” He looked so wholly offended I couldn’t help but laugh at him.

“Because I’m being serious right now and I want you to take me seriously. These are valid concerns.”

He pinched the bridge of his nose as he took a deep breath. The cotton of his shirt tightened against his chest as he inhaled before he dropped his hand. “Fine. Would you please get up on the horse, Charisma.”

“Is there anything I need to know? Is he skittish—”

“Yes, of people who are afraid of him. Get on the damn horse. Put your foot in the stirrup or I’ll hoist you up. Take your pick.”

“Fine.”

I walked closer to where they both were and Nate gave Pistol a warning that I was his lady and he better act right.

Pistol seemed to understand but he stood perfectly still even as I attempted to hoist myself up but failed.

Nate’s large, broad hands were on my ass lifting me into the saddle, forcing my mind back to the last time we were in this position.

With the dress of my skirt flowing out around him, he kept his hands filled with my ass in front of his face while he made me cum all over his chin.

I shuddered and clinched my thighs together, trying to ignore the memory.

It didn’t help that Nate swung up behind me just then and now I could feel him pressed against my ass.

“See, was that so damn hard?” He reached around me without hesitation to grab the reins and put Pistol in motion.

I angled my head only able to see the side of his face beneath his hat as we rocked away from the office and toward the paths that led deeper into the property. “Yes, actually, it was. Didn’t you just watch me fumble to get up here?”

He didn’t respond but kept looking into the distance like he were contemplating something heavy. “You gone have to forgive me for being distracted, Charmy.”

“What now?” My stomach tightened wondering what new feeling he was going to express as we meandered through the trees.

“It’s just, your ass.” He glanced down at the saddle his eyes glued to where his hips were fit snuggly around mine.

“My ass what, Nate?”

“It’s juicy normally but in this saddle it seems to have a mind of its own.” Nate’s eyes narrowed, teeth sunk into his bottom lip like he was imagining taking a bite of my ass.

“Are you calling me fat?”

“That ass sure is.” He was serious only for a second before he busted out laughing.

“Nate! Why would you just say that?”

“Because I’m a firm believer that when a man is courting a woman that he should always tell her his appreciation.

It could be as small as a thank you for her returning his text.

The way her smile lights up his day. How he never thought he would love the colors indigo and violet as much until he saw them in the strands of her hair.

And it could be the way your ass spreads in a saddle.

I’m gonna let you know that thang is thanging no matter which one of thangs it is.

” He spoke with such aplomb I knew there would be no changing his ideas on how he was going to make his partner feel seen and appreciated.

I didn’t mind it, craved it after the way relationships had been for me in the past but I couldn’t let him think he was going to run roughshod over me.

“Oh my God you’re one of those men aren’t you?”

“One of what men?”

“The ones that women get online and lament over. Talk about how they’ve fucked up their lives since they can’t have him anymore ‘cause it’s not healthy.

You’re a demon. I’ve already experienced the starting salvo of your courting and I’m even more smitten.

I can’t imagine how the women who’ve had the full onslaught of Nathaniel Chisholm-Love are managing to cope without you. ”

He shook his head and I could only grin because he swore he wasn’t as bad as they made him seem.

Instead of brushing off my words, his fingers brushed my cheek turning me toward him.

“I’m a demon to every woman that ain’t mine.

To every woman that wasn’t you. I for damn sure won’t deny that I’m a skilled lover.

Especially not when I’m trying to give you the seven day free trial before you put my dick on auto renew and I lock you in for life. ”

“Not your dick being a paid subscription.”
