Epilogue
Ten Years Later
“If you think you have life all figured out, I would caution you against it.
You do not know the majesty of all life has in store for you yet.
As a senior in high school, I could never have imagined that I would end up starring in dozens of feature films; married to the most gorgeous, talented, wonderful woman in the world; sharing an amazing life with her on our ranch in Montana, where we now write and direct together. Never could I have dreamed this big.
“But if you trust life and believe in those big dreams in your heart, even if you don’t know how they could possibly come true, keep a positive attitude in all things, and leave space for miracles …
life will surprise you with greatness beyond your wildest imaginings.
I don’t say this to inspire you. I say it because it’s true.
I’m living proof. I am no different than you.
“I was just a kid with no idea what I wanted to do.
I took the opportunities that came my way that sounded interesting.
The ones that made my heart sing. And when my heart found the woman of my dreams, the one who gave it wings, even though it seemed like the longest of long shots, I knew love and life would always find a way.
“Don’t think small. Keep an open mind. Believe in your own greatness. Believe all good things are coming to you. And they will.
“Don’t be afraid. Just go with the flow. You don’t need to swim upstream. Trust the river of life. It will take you exactly where you need to go, whether it makes sense to you at the time or not.
“Congratulations, graduates. The best days of your life are ahead of you, if you believe they are, now and always. Much love, and God bless you all.”
The entire auditorium erupted with applause, and everyone shot to their feet, including Windsor.
Her husband of a decade had always had a way with words and, even more, a way with hearts.
Bo was the real deal. And in the decade since she’d married her very own cowboy superstar, life had been sweeter and more incredible than she could have ever imagined. And still, somehow, Windsor knew, like he had just told these high-school graduates, the best was yet to come.
