Chapter 14

DEION

One moment we were standing there, her hands in my shirt and my mouth still on hers, and the next I felt the shift in it, the quiet decision she made without saying it out loud.

I followed her into it the way I always had, except this time there was nothing restrained about it, nothing held back or redirected into something safer.

At some point I realized the music had faded out.

She casually reached back without looking, found the tonearm, and set it down again at the beginning refusing to let our moment be interrupted.

When she moved, I moved with her, catching the descent before it could turn careless, pulling my shirt off and placing it beneath her as she came down so the floor wouldn’t meet her first. My hand stayed at her back, guiding, steady, instinctive, the same way it had always been with her, except now I didn’t have to pretend it was just routine.

She looked up at me, just for a second, and something in her expression caught on that, on the way I took care with her without thinking, and I felt the weight of how long I had been doing that.

Making space and fighting to soften the world around us so she could feel safe.

Choosing her comfort without asking if I should.

This time I wasn’t standing between her and anything. I was with her as Jill’s voice moved through the room, and I felt something settle in me, the kind of knowing that didn’t need to be rushed to be real.

Her hands came to me without hesitation, moving over my chest then my shoulders, like she had already decided what this was going to be, and I felt that land in my body all at once, deep and immediate, something I had kept locked down for years stepping forward without asking permission.

I had imagined this. Not in pieces or passing thoughts, but fully, the way you imagine something you don’t believe you’re ever going to be allowed to have. And now she was here, under me, with me, and there was no distance left to manage.

“You don’t have to hold back with me,” I said quietly, my mouth still close enough to hers that the words barely had space to exist between us. “Not anymore.”

Her answer wasn’t words. It was the way her mouth found my neck and stayed there, her breath warm, her lips soft, wet and slow. Unhurried in a way that went straight through me, not just where she touched me but lower, deeper, settling into places that had been waiting for exactly this.

I let myself feel it before I moved, let it land the way it had lived in my head for years, and then my hands followed, slow and deliberate, tracing along her sides as if confirming something I already knew but needed to experience for real.

The give of her under my caress, the way her breath shifted before I even pressed in closer.

I didn’t rush past any of it. I couldn’t. Not after waiting this long.

My hands moved lower, following the line of her hips, then down her thighs, taking my time there between them, feeling the strength in them, the tension and release under my touch, learning the way her body answered to my fingers moving inside beneath her panties and within her folds without her having to say a word.

When I slid them down and over her knees, so I could return my fingers to the place they’d been, I slid them in slowly, pushing higher, and going deeper as her thighs spread to make room for me, I felt the change in her immediately, the way her breath caught, the way she opened without thinking, and I stayed there just long enough for her to feel that I knew it.

“That’s it,” I murmured, my voice roughening despite myself, my hand steady at her hip as she moved beneath me. “Stay right there.”

My other hand slid back up her body, slower now, more intentional, settling over her breasts and staying long enough to feel the rhythm of her breath change under my outstretched hands as I palmed each orb.

I let my thumb move once, then again, more deliberate this time, pinching here then nibbling there, and felt the way her body answered me, the quiet tightening and release that told me exactly where she was, exactly what she needed.

I exhaled through it, steadying myself as much as guiding her.

“I’ve thought about this,” I said, my mouth near her ear now, my voice lower, less controlled. “What you’d feel like around my fingers. What you’d do when I took my time with you.”

“D…” she cried out as her walls clenched around my fingers. Her breath broke on my name, and I felt it travel through me, sharp, landing in my chest and lower in a way that made it harder to stay measured.

“Stay with me, baby,” I murmured, not pulling away, not breaking the rhythm we’d found. “Don’t rush past it.”

She didn’t. My mouth followed where my hands had already been, slower still, more focused, not skipping anything, not treating any part of her like something to move through quickly.

I stayed where she responded, where her breath changed, where she pressed into me instead of pulling away, letting each reaction guide me instead of guessing.

Every shift in her, I felt. Every sound, I held on to. Every release, I worshipped. Because I had waited too long for this to miss any part of it.

“That’s it,” I said again, quieter now, closer to losing that control myself. “Just like that.”

Her hands tightened on me, her voice lower now, less careful, and I felt the moment she stopped holding herself back, the moment she chose to stay fully in it instead of managing it the way she always did.

That’s when I moved my body over hers and paused, my gaze finding hers, giving her body a moment with the slick heat of her still pulsing, before I came home.

She lifted her head slightly, just enough so she could part her lips and suck my bottom lip into her mouth, where she suckled softly before deepening the kiss and inviting my tongue to meld against hers.

That invitation was all I needed to press into her, pushing the head of my dick in deep and hard, forcing a gasp that curled into a moan.

“Deion…” she called out, then she said my name again, but this time it was the most beautiful sound when she moaned, dragged out every syllable.

I pulled back and thrust deeper, meeting her hips as they rose up against me, yet at the same time with me.

I moved with her then, closer so her hardened nipples brushed against my chest, stirring me till I impossibly grew harder and regained my composure, remembering this moment was for her…

about her… and for that, my pleasure would come.

I continued to move, pushing into her, holding her there as everything built, as the distance that had existed for years dissolved into something undeniable.

“I’ve got you,” I said, steady even as my own control slipped, my hand firm at her hip as she moved beneath me and I watched her expression change when her body came undone against my grip. “Right here.”

I stayed with her through it, every second, every breath, every shift, until there was nothing left between us that hadn’t been said another way. And then I followed her, letting go of the last of my restraint, meeting her there without holding anything back.
