Creed
I was waiting outside the gates of the Fallen Angels compound. It was the day scheduled to meet with Sniper, the president of the Devil’s Rejects, and Axel, the president of the Fallen Angels. I came offering a few gifts to Sniper. I had to prepare myself because I knew my upcoming experience wouldn’t be much different than being at Club X, but it would be dirtier.
I was committing a felonious act as I waited on my bike while Irons and Baros sat in a van behind me. I watched as the Fallen Angel in front of me opened the gate then waved us forward.
We drove to the compound and parked our vehicles. Standing outside the doors was Sniper and Axel. I climbed off my bike and walked up to shake their hands.
“I appreciate both of you for meeting with me today.” Sniper said.
“Well, you’re about to appreciate me a little more.” I turned and waved my men up. Irons and Baros stepped out of the van and walked to the back and opened the doors. Both Sniper and Axel quickly reached behind them to their weapons. “Stand down, I come bearing a few gifts.”
We watched as Baros and Irons pulled four men from the back of the van. Sniper gasped. “But how? I’ve not stopped searching and I didn’t think you even had names yet.”
Axel chuckled. “You have little faith, Sniper. Creed gets shit done.” Axel patted his shoulder. “Bring them on in.” He ordered my men.
Axel opened the door, and I followed with the six men behind me. Four of them were beaten to a pulp and handcuffed. As I walked through the Fallen Angel’s compound, I witnessed what I would have considered pure hell. A few guys were doing lines of coke, another guy was getting sucked off by a chick that obviously saw better days, a foursome was occurring in another corner, and someone’s grandma was dancing on top the bar completely naked. Well, she could have been someone’s grandma or a chick that lived one hell of a hard life. All of that, and it wasn’t even noon yet. I felt like I was catching some STD just from being in the building. I was led down a long hall then Axel stopped and opened one door and signaled my men to throw the guests of honor inside then he locked them in before leading all of us to another room.
We were offered a seat, but I still felt dirty from seeing those women. They definitely saw better days, so I stayed standing. I opened my mouth right away. “I thought you were done with the drugs.” I refused to sit, fearing whatever germs would have been waiting for me.
“We never said we were done with them, they just aren’t a part of our business.” Axel had no problem letting me see that shit even though I mainly worked on the other side of the law. He knew Club X wasn’t completely innocent either.
Axel looked at Sniper. “Has he delivered what you needed? It’s done?”
Sniper nodded. “That’s the last of them, but I don’t understand how this happened. I never gave names.’
Axel chuckled. “Creed has a way of getting things done. You’ll learn that, and if he wanted you locked up, he’d get that done as well. You’ll learn not to cross this man and also never ask questions.”
What Sniper didn’t know, but Axel did, is that it was my men working undercover. I had them all over the country and word traveled fast. My operatives were able to identify them because all four had big mouths and couldn’t keep them shut. All I had to do was wait, and last night, one of my crews delivered what was left of the rogue Reject’s. The men attempted to prospect for another MC out in L.A. The operatives took a road trip and delivered the men straight to me. That meant I had a few more undercover operatives back at Creed's Lake, but they wouldn’t stay long. They needed to get back to their MC.
Sniper looked at me. “What is it you want in exchange?”
He had no clue just how in debt he was from that day on. “Lets make something clear. I’m not just delivering these men, I’ve guaranteed law enforcement will turn a blind eye to whatever happens with them today. They just ask not to hear about it. We can also say the State Police Superintendent doesn’t care too much about these men’s fate either, but it all comes with a pretty high price.”
“Name it.” Sniper wanted what I had to offer.
“Keep the drugs, prostitution, and gambling out of Sinclair County. You are also to stay the fuck away from the Rossi family. That includes Adeline Doyle. She will never be a part of your life.”
He ran a hand down his beard. “How is Addie?”
“Thriving, happy with her new circumstances, safe, and absolutely adorable.” I answered.
“That’s all I ask. The Rossi family was never in danger because of us, and I want Addie to have a better life than she had or could have with us. I had no problem with Morgan or her family, and if anything, I’m in their debt for taking Addie and providing a safe home. Honestly, they could have counted on our protection.” Sniper said.
“I have claimed Morgan Rossi as my old lady and Addie is to be considered our child. They belong to Creed’s Lake. I want to make that clear.”
Both men agreed.
“So, let’s make all this clear. In exchange for these four thugs and LEO’s blind eye as far as they are concerned, we agree that Sinclair County belongs to us. None of your men or prospects will cross that border without an invitation. The Rossi family is off limits, and believe me, you don’t want to cross us. I am a powerful man, and I mean it when I say, I will make you suffer. In the meantime, I want your loyalty and your word that if the Cartel makes any moves or threats to either one of your MC’s, we are to be informed right away. I don’t like surprises, and I don’t want them near Sinclair County.” I named my price, but I wasn’t asking for much.
Sniper stood and stuck his hand out to shake it. “You can count on the Devil’s Rejects. We are in your debt and if you ever need anything, just call us.”
I shook his hand in return.
Sniper had more to say. “With that being said, we should bring you up to date with the Cartel. It seems our rogue members royally fucked me over. My compound is under lockdown, and I sent our old ladies and kids to Ohio for protection with one of our chapters. Not only did they deny my attempt to buy out of their operation, those fucks that went rogue killed two medium ranking members of the cartel. They have already laced the heroin sold in this area with a deadly amount of fentanyl. There has been an unusually high rate of overdoses and unfortunately whoever is dealing it has targeted very young people, especially high school and college students. Law enforcement is looking in the wrong direction and believe the Rejects and the Fallen Angel’s are responsible. Two days ago, I received word that a few La eme members, or more widely known as Mafia Mexicana, has been spotted in the area. They’re out for blood to make an example out of us. My father made a shit ton of money for them over the years because of his success in getting the drugs to Chicago. They expect the same from me and have promised one death per month until I agree to their terms. They’ve kept that promise, and I just lost one of my men to them last week. They made sure I knew exactly who was responsible.”
Shit! “How did they make sure you knew they were responsible?”
“It was a classic cartel move. They shot him and dumped his body at our gate. Told the men who were standing guard to give me the message. One body a month until I accept their terms.”
“Call us if you need us, but you’ll be taking a risk. We will bring law enforcement with us. I could never send my men in as an MC and risk being targeted by the cartel. They already have a problem with us, but they haven’t yet identified us. My men would have to be disguised as law enforcement and work alongside them. I will tell you what though, I will send in a tip to the feds. They’d want to know there’s a heavier cartel presence this far north. Just lay low if you see more government agencies around. That goes for both of you.”
Axel slapped my shoulder. “Stick around after the show. I’m sure there’s a few girls here that would love to entertain all three of you.” I must have made a disgusted look because he chuckled. “Say no more, we’re down to slim pickings here in the compound. All my good entertainment is in the clubs. Shit, I wouldn’t even touch any of these nasty bitches. Come on, let’s get this show started.”
Axel took us out back and the guys and I waited while Axel and Sniper called for their men. They brought out the four rogue members, and lined them up. He even took off their blindfolds.
“Expose your weapons.” Axel ordered and all the bikers drew their guns. “Fire!”
It was one gunshot after another, and I watched as each of the men fell to the ground.
“Cease fire!” Axel yelled out. The gunshots stopped and the men put away their weapons. I walked over to check each rogue member for a pulse, but it was senseless. All four were shot in the head.
“Let’s go have a cold one.” Axel guided me toward their garage. He was an ally. He was the man that helped me get undercover operatives into different MC’s around the country. He knew who we were and respected us. He got his MC away from the cartel many years ago, and he did favors for law enforcement in exchange for them ignoring the prostitution and gambling. Other than that, his clubs were legal strip clubs. He made good money, but it was barely enough to keep the MC going. I served with Axel’s son, and he was the man that gave me the idea of making Creed’s Lake an MC. The Originals and I lived with them for a few months to learn more about how an MC works. His son chose the military over the MC and was still an active service member. He was stationed at Fort Campbell. Axel was good at keeping me well informed, and I did the same for him as far as law enforcement was concerned.
Watching four men gunned down was just the beginning of my day. Last night Morgan begged me to call Jake. It wasn’t that she was pushing me to connect with my cousin, it was that she was a shit liar, and Jake was bugging the hell out of her. He was demanding a visit. He wanted to see how well she was protected. Problem was, I had too many undercovers at the community to allow strangers inside. After dealing with Jake, I had to take Morgan out of Creed’s Lake to talk to Melissa. Everything was a go, but we hadn’t yet spoken to Melissa about the job.
After a beer and being completely grossed out over the things I saw in that clubhouse, I went to headquarters to discuss the lockdown with the Originals.
“I agree with Creed. Its too early to lift it. There is no guarantee the situation is over but now there’s a heavier cartel presence in the area. That stupid fuck, Shane Doyle, really screwed a hell of a lot of shit up.” Axton said.
“I third that, especially since we have more undercover operatives in the community for a few days. We also have some broken trust with the prospects. A little while longer won’t hurt anyone.” Granger put in his two cents.
“Lets hold off until at least Creed’s return from California.” Magnus said.
“The kids are out of school right now. I think we should allow some family vacations, but other than that it won’t hurt to stay on lockdown. With them out of school they mostly stay here at the lake anyway.” Irons made a good point.
I nodded. “Sure, we could allow some vacations while the kids are still on summer break.”
Drakos agreed. “I think we are all on the same page as far as lockdown. Let’s move on to another important topic. We need fresh meat.”
All of us just looked at him like he had two heads.
He groaned. “We need some new girls. I think the ones we have are bored with us. Three girls chose going to bed early last night instead of sucking dick. I think this lockdown has domesticated them. I caught Kathy baking cookies yesterday.” He paused. “With clothes on.”
Everyone gasped, even Bolton.
He nodded his head. “Yep, supposedly Morgan gave her a...” He made air quotes. “Recipe.” He put his hands down. “And now she has decided she wants a real job.” He rolled his eyes. “I’m not sure how cleaning our cabins and sucking dick isn’t a real job, but okay. Creed, you have to make Morgan stop trying to domesticate our girls before one of us ends up accidently married.”
It was quiet for a few seconds until Granger and I both threw our heads back and laughed.
“This is serious shit, Creed. Serena stopped in the middle of her dance the other night to check one of the prospects for a fever.” Baros shook his head. “She even offered him Tylenol. The little freak was just jerking off under the table and she mistook that for a fever. So, I propose fresh meat, and let our current girls keep their day jobs.”
I was amused to say the least. “Have you considered that maybe it’s not the girls? You’ve all just gotten lazy. I heard a rumor that someone fell asleep during a blow job the other night.” I pinned my eyes on Magnus.
He shifted uncomfortably in his seat and cleared his throat. “It was a long day, and Morgan gave me some leftovers and a pie. I had a full belly, and I was tired.”
“Do you see the common denominator, Creed? Its Morgan. She is spoiling us and making the girls want relationships and shit.” Drakos complained.
I chuckled. “And shit?”
He nodded. “Yeah and shit. She sent a whole gooseberry pie over to me and didn’t warn me not to eat the whole damn thing. I was sweating on the shitter in the middle of the night, and I didn’t get any blow jobs the next day.”
Magnus laughed. “Ever thought that’s because you stayed over at the club and contaminated the whole place with your stink ass? It was a turnoff to the girls, Drakos.” Magnus asked and Drakos thought about it.
“No, my shit doesn’t stink. It never bothered me before. Anyway, just think about it.” Drakos sat back in his seat.
“The agreement was the girls would be preparing for life outside the community. We are getting Morgan setup to help the ones that need their general education diplomas. She will soon be starting those classes, so hold off. We will replace as they leave. You also have to remember that sucking your dick isn’t in their job description. We don’t need more girls at this time.” I wasn’t sure any would ever want to leave.
“Fine, but she better not try to give them any other hobbies. They’re busy as it is and many of the guys feel neglected. I swear if I catch even one of them knitting baby clothes they’re out.” He sneered.
We moved on and discussed my deployment, my expectations as far as Morgan while I was gone, security along the outside perimeter, and I assigned Axton to train Jennings so he would be somewhat ready to assist me when I returned from California.
An hour later I was calling my estranged cousin. He had a lot of questions because he had been staying with our grandfather and heard about Creed’s Lake. He was told the same thing as everyone else, that it was a very private community for my MC and the residents were all veterans. He was suspicious and the more I explained why he couldn’t visit the more pissed off he became, which had my hairs standing on end. I was suspicious and asked the one question he needed to answer.
“Are you in love with Morgan?”
“She’s my best friend.” He said on a sigh.
“That didn’t answer my question. Are you or are you not in love with her?”
He paused for a few moments and finally had an answer. “She is the most important person in my life. I’d lay down my life for her, but I can’t answer that question because I don’t know. She’s my past and my present, my only constant, and I don’t remember feeling this strongly about anyone before her. I barely remember a life before her. My feelings never forced me to put my life on hold for her if that answers your question.”
I nodded even though he couldn’t see me. Those words made me think of Dahlia and how I couldn’t even fuck her after meeting Morgan. He wasn’t in love with her, he just cared deeply for her. “It does, and I appreciate your honesty. I'll tell you what, after we return from California, I’ll meet with you man to man. We’ll discuss Morgan and the possibility of you visiting. I’m not trying to keep her from you. I’m just trying to keep visitors at a minimum until law enforcement gets a handle on the Devil’s Reject’s situation.” I didn’t want to isolate Morgan from the people she loved, I just wanted to keep her safe while protecting Creed’s Lake. I knew he would be around when we went to California, and I would study his character and decide of he would be permitted to visit while I was gone.
A few hours later, I made it home. Stephanie was there with her kids and would watch out over Addie while I took Morgan to meet with Melissa. I was about to offer a woman I never met a hell of an offer. I already came to terms with the fact that there wasn’t much I wouldn’t do for Addie.
