Silent But Deadly

Morgan

Creed was gone when I woke. In his place was a rose and a note.

Good morning to my beautiful bride. Today is the day you legally become Morgan Anastasia Creed. Surprise! You have until zero nine hundred hours to get your gorgeous pregnant ass ready to be my wife. That lucky son of a bitch that got to live with you all this time is downstairs waiting for you. Don’t worry about our sweet little angel, she’s helping her daddy make everything perfect. Let’s make us a family today!

Love,

Creed and Addie

I squealed then tried to jump out of bed, but forgot I had two passengers on board. I held my aching back as I made my way to the bathroom. By five till nine I was ready to go. I had to settle with a white Versace summer dress with pink and Grey flowers. It was flowy and had spaghetti straps. It was totally inappropriate for winter, but at least it was white. I found a white thick cardigan to wear over it. My hair was in a loose braid that fell over my shoulder, and I used light makeup. I tried to put on some strappy nude heels, but I couldn’t reach the straps, so I slipped into a blush low heeled shoe, and it worked. I threw my phone and everything else into my light gray purse from Walmart and went downstairs. I found Josh drinking a cup of coffee then watched as he choked on it and coughed. “Jesus.” He coughed. “Christ.”

“Do you approve?” I did a little spin.

“Hell yeah, damn Morgan.” He looked me up and down. “You’re so fucking gorgeous.”

I kissed his cheek. “I heard you’re my escort on the biggest day of my life?”

He walked to the fridge. “Yeah, do you think I’d wear this fucking suit for anything less? Your future husband got us all out of bed at four this morning, and that includes the judge.” He handed me a muffin and a glass of juice. “I was given strict orders to make you eat that before we leave.” He chuckled. “Like you’d ever miss a meal.”

I smacked his arm. “Asshole.”

“Come on, eat in the car.” He guided me outside and to the waiting SUV.

“Everyone will see me.” I said and he glanced at me.

“So?”

“I haven’t left Creed’s Lake since I started showing. What if the paparazzi sees me?”

Josh shrugged. “So what? He’s home and ready for the whole world to know that he knocked up The Morgan Rossi and she’s marrying him.”

“Really?” I was surprised.

“We had to talk him down from calling the press himself. The man is absolutely insane. I don’t know who we brought home from Syria. He sure as hell doesn’t act like a guy that was just tortured.”

“What does he act like?” I asked.

He glanced at me. “Like a guy that’s about to have all of his dreams come true.”

“What do I act like?”

He glanced at me and smiled before turning back to the road. “Like a gorgeous woman who is bat shit fucking crazy! Do you have any idea how much shit I have taken from you for all these months? You laugh, then cry, then scream at me, then fart, then belch, and does Creed know about your flatulence problem? You should probably warn him because your pregnant ass is rank, and no man deserves to wake up to that in the middle of the night.”

I was laughing so hard I almost peed.

“No really, you’re the happiest I’ve seen you in months. Creed hasn’t even been home for a full twenty four hours. He must have given you the big D last night. I hope you farted in the middle of it. For real, Addie and I have dealt with that for months.”

I gasped and punched his arm again. “Say it again and I’ll let one rip right now! Its my best pregnancy super power. Too bad its just temporary.”

“We should bottle that up. We wouldn’t even have to go on missions anymore. We could just package it up and mail it. That’ll take out some high value targets.” He was laughing way too hard at my expense.

“You better not tell Creed before he marries me. If he finds out I fart he might not marry me, then you’re stuck with me forever. I’ll move into your place, and it’ll be worse in those cramped quarters.” I crossed my arms and smiled as I looked out the window.

“Fuck! God dammit, Morgan!” He started rolling down his window.

“Roll it up, or I’ll tell Creed my hair is messed up because you tried to kiss me.”

“You’re an evil bitch.” He rolled the window up and gagged before he held his nose.

“Those aren’t my farts anyways. They’re Creed’s kids and they get it from their father.”

“The hell they do! You've forgotten I’ve been held captive with him in cramped spaces. I know his farts and they smell like fresh rain compared to yours!”

I laughed. “I can fart on command, asshole. Better be nice to me on my wedding day.”

He coughed. “I think I can taste it.” He gagged again and his eyes were watering.

I looked over at him. “Dickhead!”

“Crazy bitch!” He glanced at me.

“Slut fucker and don’t you deny it! I know you did it the night we came up from the bunker!”

He glanced and smiled. “Yeah, I did, and it was the night your Uncle Darren fucked Bolton! She sucked his dick first too!”

I gasped. “Oh no you didn’t!”

“Oh, yes I did! Bolton got the big D last night too. She said he’s hung like a horse and eats her pussy like a starving man!”

I clenched my fists and shut my eyes really tight.

“Don’t you fucking do it, Morgan!”

I opened my eyes and smiled.

“Fucking hell, Morgan!” He stopped the car and jumped out. I heard him gagging and laughed so hard another one escaped.

“Oops.”

He was bending over with his hands on his knees trying to breathe in some clean air.

“Do you want to get married today, Morgan?”

“Yes!”

“Then get your ass out of that car and leave the door open. Let it air out! I hope you fart in his face when he goes down on you tonight!”

I stood outside the car and crossed my arms. “Well, I hope one of your little Creed’s Lake girls farts in your face.”

“I think I’m pretty well broken in, Morgan!”

When Josh felt the car was aired out, we finally hit the road again. All that happened before we even made it to the guard shack. Josh was still shaking his head as he drove.

“What are you shaking your head about?” I asked.

“Don’t come running to me when he kicks you out of the house for that shit. There isn’t a pussy tight enough to make that shit worth it. Everyone asked me why I never made a move on you for all those months. That! That’s why I never made a move! Your whole down there area scares the hell out of me!”

“It is not, it’s because you’re the best friend ever. Admit it, if I never met Creed, you’d try to fuck me. You love him that much.”

He glanced at me. “I look at you and still see that little girl. No, it’s not like that with us. You’re adorable like a little baby until you shit yourself.”

I smacked his arm as he laughed. Josh was gorgeous, funny, annoying, and safe.

“No really, you’re gorgeous, but no, even if Creed wasn’t around it wouldn’t happen. You know it too.”

I smiled as I glanced at him. “Do you ever think we come across different kinds of soul mates? Maybe some for friendship, some for protection, some for comfort, and some to fall in love with because they’re all those things?”

He gave me a weird look, thought about it, then smiled. “Yeah, Morgan, I do. I really do.”

“Maybe you’re my soul mate to teach me tolerance. I’m yours to teach you that some people are worth protecting.” I said.

“Tolerance?” He asked.

“Yeah, your ex girlfriend bullied me, but I never took that out on you. And then you hover for months. You drove me insane. After your ex did what she did, you didn’t judge all women. You still protected me.”

He glanced at me. “I’ve been protecting you for a lot longer than you think.” He gave me a wink.

I tilted my head. “What do you mean?”

He parked the car then nodded toward the courthouse. “I’ll tell you all about it someday. For now, let’s get you hitched.”
