Chapter 22 Tristan

Tristan

Daddy carried me into his room with Ellie following behind us. “I don’t have many people over, but this room is very special to me, so I decided to have the only entry point be through my room.”

I looked over Daddy’s shoulder at Ellery. “It’s so cool, it’s like a secret cave.” We both giggled with excitement, but Ellery suddenly stopped, their mouth dropping open with surprise. “Oh my gosh, bestie! This room is amazing… Daniel, you did this?”

“I made most of the furniture and a few toys... pretty much everything except the mural was something I made or purchased. My best friend David painted the mural. He’s very talented.”

Holding onto Daddy, I watch Ellery spin around the room, their eyes bouncing from one thing to another, taking it all in. They walked over to the mural on the wall, staring at it with awe. “This is gorgeous, I’ve never seen anything so beautiful.”

Daddy chuckled and smiled. “David is a great guy and an even better artist. I’d offer to pass along the compliments, but he’s like a brother to me, so I’m sure you’ll meet him sooner or later, and you can tell him yourself. He’d love to hear it.”

Ellery was still staring at the mural, completely enthralled. They shook their head, as if trying to shake themselves from the painting’s hold. The smile on their face was damn near blinding. “I would love to meet him and tell him how beautiful his art is.”

“Wook,” I pointed over to the bookshelf where the dragon blocks sat. “He painted dos too.”

Ellery bounced over to the shelf and picked one up, twirling it and taking in every detail.

“Whoa, these are so cute. You hit the Daddy jackpot, bestie.” I knew my bestie was incredibly happy for me, but I couldn’t miss the slight sadness in their voice.

I just hoped Ellery would find a Daddy as awesome as mine, and soon.

“Okay, little ones… would you like to play a game?”

Both Ellie and I squealed and clapped our hands. “Yes, please.”

Daddy put me down, and my hands instinctively chased him, but he pulled away. He stepped over to the shelf and grabbed the Dragon egg toy and a blind fold.

Ellery and I both cocked our heads and looked at him with curiosity.

“So one of you will be blindfolded, and the other one will be tasked with hiding this dragon egg somewhere in this room. Once you are done hiding it, the person who is blindfolded walks around the room searching for the egg while the other helps them find it by saying ‘cold’ when they are far away or ‘warm’ if they get closer.”

Ellery jumped up and down, clapping their hands. “Oh yes! I love this game.” I nodded furiously in agreement. “Me too”

“Okay, who wants to be the first one to find the egg?”

“Me me me! Ellery squealed,” I nodded in agreement. Watching Elerry stumble around the room blindfold honestly seemed more exciting than finding the egg myself, so I was more than happy to let them go first.

“Alright then, Ellery, come here, and I’ll get you blind folded so Tristan can hide the egg.”

Ellery practically bounced over to Daddy. They squirmed and giggled the whole time, so it took Daddy longer than it should have to tie the blind fold around my bestie’s eyes.

“Okay, how’s that feel? Can you see anything?”

“It’s great, not too tight, and I can’t see at all. Hide the egg, bestie.”

Daddy walked over to me and held out the egg. “Do you want to hide the egg or do you need Daddy’s help?”

I felt so small and safe with my Daddy and best friend, and I sank deeper into my little headspace, my worries from before fading away. I took the egg from Daddy and raised my arms. “Hewp pwease.”

“Of course, sweetheart.” Daddy picked me up and popped me on his hip as I heard Ellery exclaim. “Aww, you guys are adorable.” My face flushed as I pointed to the changing table over in the far corner. I placed the egg gently on the table so it didn’t make a loud noise.

Daddy quietly walked us back over to Ellery and then placed me on my feet. “Okay, before we start, Ellery, I want you to spin around while you count to ten and then stop.”

Daddy scooped me back into his arms and walked to the far side of the room and sat down in the rocker with me in his lap, my back against his chest so that I could see the whole room.

“One… Two…” Ellery spun in circles as they counted. By the end of their counting, you could barely understand the number because they were giggling so hard, and then all three of us were laughing and cheering Ellery on.

Once I was done laughing and caught my breath, I clapped my hands and yelled, “Go!”

Ellery took a few slow, tentative steps forward, which brought them further away from the egg.

“Colder!” They huffed and turned to the left, their arms held slightly in front of them so they didn’t run into anything.

Ellery kept slowly walking around and started getting too close to the wall, making me giggle, when Daddy called out.

“Wall incoming.” Ellery halted just mere inches from the wall.

“Colder. S’cold like ice.”

Ellery groaned and slowly turned until they were facing the wall with the changing table, then stepped forward. “Warmer!”

Ellery cheered and walked forward to the egg, and every few steps, I shouted in excitement. “Warmer! Warmer!” Ellery’s fingertips brushed the edge of the table, making them stop. “You is on fire!”

Ellery bounced and cheered, their hands fumbling around the changing table, feeling for the egg. Finally, their hands found the egg, and they snatched it up and cheered. “I found it!”

We all cheered as Daddy stood up, propped me on his hip again, and walked over to remove the blindfold from Ellery.

“Good job finding the lost dragon egg, Princess Ellie. We are forever in your debt.” Daddy put me down, so I was sitting on the floor and bowed to Ellery.

They let out a giggle and curtsied. “You are very welcome, good sir.”

Seeing how much fun Ellery had finding the egg had me eager for my turn. “I go?” Daddy looked down at me and smiled. “Of course, little one, you. Let me get you blind folded.”

Daddy slipped the dark material over my eyes and tied it firmly around my head. “How’s that, sweetie?” Turning my head, I made sure it didn’t slip. I took a few seconds to adjust, not being able to see it seemed scary at first, but I knew Daddy wouldn’t let anything happen to me. “It’s good!”

I heard Daddy whisper something to Ellery, followed by shuffling footsteps.

Unable to see, I squealed in surprise when Daddy picked me up.

“Okay, little one, ready to spin?” I barely had the chance to nod before Daddy spun us around in circles.

I flung my arms around his neck and threw my head back in laughter. “Spin spin. Yay!”

Daddy placed me back on the floor, and I let out a whine.

I half expected Daddy to hold me while I pointed, but at the same time, that didn’t seem as fun as walking around as Ellery did.

I tried to stand up, but I felt so small and floaty that I couldn’t.

My bottom lip jutted out and started to tremble.

Daddy placed his hand on my shoulder, and suddenly I felt his warm breath against my ear.

“I want you to have fun, little one. We’ll have plenty of time to snuggle later.

I had Ellery place your egg on the floor so you could crawl around.

Is that okay?” My whole body relaxed, and the excitement of playing with my friend returned, along with a deep appreciation for my thoughtful Daddy. “Fank you, Dada.”

“Of course, little one, Ellery and I are going to go sit in the corner and make sure you don’t bump into us or anything else.”

“Otay!”

“Anticipation grew as I listened to their footstep retreat to the other side of the room, and then Ellery called out. “Okay… Go!”

Leaning forward, I wobbled slightly as I got on my hands and knees. I felt the floor around me with my hand and slowly made my way forward. After crawling forward a bit, I decided to go left. “Warm!”

Cheering in excitement, I continued forward until I heard Ellery say. “Cold.” I huffed in annoyance and turned right. “Warm!” I squealed as I kept going.

Right before I felt my fingers brush against wood, Daddy said. “Object ahead. Slow down please.”

“You’re burning up, bestie.”

I carefully felt around me and realized I was touching the wooden railing Daddy had made for my floor bed.

I carefully crawled over the railing and plopped down on the bed, but yelped when I felt wood dig into my side.

I fumbled around searching for the object and yelled in victory when I felt the egg. “I did it! I did it!”

Seconds later, my blindfold was being removed by Ellery, and they crashed down on top of me.

“You did it, bestie! And you looked so cute crawling around in your onesie. I have the most precious bestie ever.” They wrapped their arms around me, the best they could, and buried their face into my neck.

“I love you, bestie. Thanks for inviting me. I missed you.”

Tears ran down my face as I wrapped my arms around them. “I missed you too… I promise we’ll hang out lots.”

We stayed that way for several minutes, just enjoying being together. “Would you boys like to play a few more rounds?”

“Yes!” We both shouted, and Ellery climbed over the bars.

I began to do the same, but was stopped when Daddy grabbed me by my waist and lifted me out.

“You were adorable, sweetie. Did you have fun?” My face blushed red hot, and Daddy kissed the tip of my nose, making me giggle. “Yes, Dada, so fun! Again! Again!”

Ellery made their way to the center of the room and tied their own blind fold. I pointed over at the bookshelf, and Daddy helped me place the egg. Once we were seated, Ellery spun around and then began moving.

My hips kept wiggling in excitement as I guided Ellery to the egg.

Ellery turned toward the bookshelf, and my body thrummed with excitement as I cheered that they were getting warmer.

Ellery rushed ahead, bumping their head on the wall.

The impact wasn’t super hard, but my body froze with concern for my friend.

Ellery busted out laughing and rubbed their forehead. My eyes widened in shock, but then my head fell back, and I roared with laughter. My body shook, and tears ran down both our faces as we laughed hysterically.

Suddenly, my body froze, and panic crawled up my spine. Hot tears welled up in my eyes and streamed down my face as I realized I was sitting in Daddy’s lap, soaked with what I’m sure was pee. I was laughing so hard I didn’t even feel it happening.

Daddy’s hand rubbed my back, and he pulled me further into him. I buried my face in his chest, too embarrassed to look at his or Ellery’s face.

I should’ve known better because not even seconds later, I felt Ellery’s hand softly touch my shoulder. “Bestie, what’s wrong. Are you okay?’

Daddy kept rubbing small circles on my back and kissed the top of my head. “Hey, sweetheart, I promise it’s going to be okay. Can I explain the situation to Ellie, or should I ask them to leave the room?”

Through my sobs, I was barely able to tell him that I was okay with telling Ellery. Sure, I was embarrassed, but I knew my friend loved me, and it would be cruel to worry them and send them away with no explanation just because I was embarrassed.

“Ellery, as you know, with me, Tristan has been regressing younger than usual. He’s always wanted to wear diapers, but wanted to take it slow.

Before we had a chance to try them, he had an accident.

I think it’s all just been too overwhelming, especially with feeling like he has to go all in with diapers every time he’s little in case he has an accident.

He was also hoping that not wearing one would help him not go as deep, so he could keep up with you. ”

Ellery’s hand lifted from my shoulder, and then I felt their presence shift to the side of the chair.

I lifted my head from Daddy’s chest, my eyes meeting theirs.

“I’m sorry you’re going through that, bestie.

You’ve always dreamed of wearing a diaper with your Daddy, and you know I support that…

we want you to have fun and be comfortable, and if that’s with a diaper, that’s perfectly okay.

And for the record, I love seeing you so small and carefree with your Daddy.

It makes me so happy, so please don’t hide away.

Embrace how it feels to be cared for that way and forget everything else.

I can tell he loves you so much; nothing is going to change that. ”

My sobs increased as they continued. Ellery and I have been inseparable for the whole five years of our friendship, and sometimes it’s scary how well they know my brain.

Unable to speak through my cries, I held out a hand toward Ellery and rubbed the inside of their palm with my thumb, letting the gentle motion soothe me.

Once my cries subsided, I pulled back from Daddy and released Ellery’s hand. “Thank you, Ellie. I’m so happy I met Daddy, but it’s only been a few weeks, and change is hard. I never expected to fall so hard and fast, and it was a little scary, and I may have overthought everything a little bit.”

Ellery smiled warmly for a few seconds before mischief filled their eyes, and they feigned shock. “My bestie overthink? He would never!”

My laugh was hoarse from all the crying, but it felt good to be laughing again after feeling so tense. All the tension from earlier left my body, and I became super aware of how wet and uncomfortable I was, and it sent me hurtling back into little space.

“Dada, I feel icky.”

“I know, sweetheart, but it’s okay. I’m going to get you all cleaned up.”

Best Daddy ever.
